  1. Really depends how much you plan to drop the ride height once the coilovers are fitted mate, more you drop the more your camber will be out
  2. Got this to look forward to, one of mine is already sheared off and just been left by previous owner! That'll be fun fetting the rest of it out
  3. I was playing with these in halfords the other day - the 6 drawer one in the link has friction shelves but there is another one with 5 drawers at the same price with bearings which felt soo much sexier when opening and closing :innocent: I think you should have gone for this one instead boys, its slightly shorter, different layout but generally the same but with the all important ball bearing slides (will make all the difference when drawer weighed down with tools - http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_811705_categoryId_255214_langId_-1?cm_sp=Intelligent_Offer-_-Product_List_Zone_1-_-Blank&iozone=PLPz1#tab1
  4. Hows the suspension? My adjustable arms will be going on in the next week or two, your welcome to the standard arms and strut if you want. I'm just through in Glasgow but could meet up somewhere.
  5. Knockhill do a good impreza session on a little off road track. I got it as a present a while ago and it was a good day, you get 4 blasts spread over a few hours as there are about 20 off you in the group and maybe half a dozen going on track at a time with your own instructor. Was a good day and the instructor even had me going off course to take a short cut to save wasting a session stuck behind someone who wasnt putting in quite so much effort as me! You get a wee write up at the end with tips from the instructor based on your driving that day and then a wee prize giving for most improved dirver...I got 3rd.
  6. Want one instantly
  7. DOH, thought it was front ones you were after, I've just got rear ones from him along with soe other bits, arrived next day. Here's the rears http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300zx-hicas-ball-joint-rear-wheel-steer-/220964465566?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3372822b9e
  8. I've just got some stuff off this guy, he said that he supplies to zedworld when he emailed me....but don't know how much truth is in that http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300zx-front-lower-ball-joint-90-00-/220780257163?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3367875f8b
  9. The camskill link was just to show the diagram and full info on the pads, there was a guy on ebay selling a set for £40 but had it listed for another car.
  10. That was Plan A til I found Jeff's post then decided I'd give them a go if I can confirm fitment.
  11. After my other post about Jeff's advice on using greenstuff pads for road use I've been having a look. Since EBC say these are only for vehicles up to 200bhp I'm struggling to find the right set for the zed. I've found some dubious listings that say 300zx but go on to list it as a 2 litre but I've used their part number and found the same pads on Camskill, can anyone confirm if these will fit please? 120x70x14 on the diagram. http://www.camskill.co.uk/m31b0s3064p17330/EBC_BRAKE_PADS_EBC_V4_GREENSTUFF_BRAKE_PADS_-_DP21200_-_EBC_Greenstuff_Brake_Pads_
  12. Fecking love them. Guy up the road from me has one and I sex wee'd the first time I saw it parked up
  13. Dave from Footman James said on here the other week that you don't need to own a second car to get a policy - you just have to have ACCESS to another car, being a named driver on a relative/partners policy is fine...with Footman James anyway.
  14. Haha, I've done that before, you've ended up on the mobile site. If you scroll right to the bottom of that page from the screenshot then you will see a link saying 'full site' and it'll bring you back to a more familiar look and feel :smartass:
  15. As already mentioned, contact Dave at Footman Jones and he'll sort it for you. he's mentioned previously that some staff still don't realise they should be insuring the imports.
  16. You'll be needing some nice rims then, at a mere £910 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ON-SALE-1-10-RC-Tamiya-HPI-Car-Wheel-Rims-5S-X4-5010-4pcs-IN-STOCK-FREE-SHI-/160694585297?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item256a24c7d1
  17. And for anyone genuinely interested in buying it - it was advertised for £5k by previous owner a long time ago and then readvertised a year later at a more reasonable price of £1500 Ad 1 http://zclub.net/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=2512 Ad 2 - http://zclub.net/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=3478 It then kept going on ebay and only making a few hundred quid and never meeting its reserve before the current owner got it. Its currently on ebay with less than 2 days to go with no reserve and a purchase price less than pistonheads ad http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-FAIRLADY-300ZR-Z31-300ZX-1986-NOW-NO-RESERVE-/251038835414?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3a7314a2d6 He's also posted on zclub to say nearest offer over £2k takes it...and with a different version of events about that £1k deposit  http://zclub.net/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=4231
  18. He was asking stupid money for it over on zclub if I remember right, see his reason for reducing the price at the foot of the ad "P.S time waster and day dreamers will be shot on site. I was left £1000 deposit off a chap who then came up with a lame excuse thus I kept the money thus the reduced price." Whether that's true or not, it doesn't sound like someone I'd want to do business with.
  19. I'm about to take mine apart next week but waiting to see what they're like before ordering rebuild kit. Handy write up here - http://zilvia.net/f/tech-talk/190332-rear-caliper-rebuild-anyone-experienced.html
  20. I thinks they do kits with just the seals etc if you don't need pistons - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-200SX-S14-300ZX-Z32-FRONT-CALIPER-REBUILD-KIT-BUDWEG-/330711983302?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3A300+ZX&hash=item4cfff864c6
  21. I had ruled the reds out already as well due to the 1000 miles required for bedding in. I was thinking yellows all round til I saw Jeff's post, but still confused with why EBC say up to 200bhp
  22. I've just seen this post whilst looking at options for pads and I notice Jeff says greenstuff more appropriate for road use - anyone using them? I notice that EBC say greenstuff is "Generally recommended for cars producing up to 200BHP" so I had already ruled them out until seeing Jeff's post
  23. I've got a slight leak there at the moment mate, decided to leave it until I need a clutch and do it then to join up the labour
  24. Anybody know if the pistons as the same size front and rear? i.e. if I want to refurb a set of four calipers then can I just buy 3 sets of individual front refurb kits and split one of them to do the rear?
