  1. Tell them to go read their own terms and conditions - they are allowed to charge £50 or their commission on the policy whichever is highest. Your original docs should detail what commission they got on it. https://www.kwik-fitinsurance.com/Kwikfit/legal_carinsurance.htm#charges
  2. Loads of places advertise custom cnc machining of these on ebay, there is a guy on sxoc that does them as well - http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=418358 H&R produce them, not sure about your particular fitment, you'd need to check some distributors - http://www.venommotorsport.com/h&r-pcd-adapters.html
  3. The only thing offensive about that pic is the sloppy paint job all over that light switch...shame on you vodkashots, if a jobs worth doing... :tt2:
  4. Your not stating the obvious as some members on here also own z31s as well as having z32s mate, I know of a few z31 owners on here - Slick Pete, Jap.Slapper and Dazvert for instance. Its also an issue worth sharing because if its a vulnerable part on the z31 then it may well be a weak point on other cars as well, the thread I posted a link to was mainly 280zx owners with the same problem - my post is titled 'possible issue with poly bushes???' not 'possible issue with z31'. Cheers to the others for input, I'm just wondering whether I should replace the bushes with standard ones when I get a hold on a new rod  Mike at MJP was actually just going to send me the standard ones at the time but I asked for poly ones instead, doh! Hopefully just a coincidence that it happened just a couple of months after fitting them.
  5. the forgotten link!! http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/65948-broke-a-tc-rod-now-what/
  6. I was driving along in my z31 at a sensible speed today approaching a red light in the rain, gently applied the brakes and the car really shot off to the right. Get to where I'm going and have a look to find that my offside track control rod is snapped in 2, half of it on the road somewhere at that set of traffic lights I imagine. Just started searching for a replacement rod and came across this thread which set alarm bells ringing as I recently installed poly bushes...anybody had any problems or heard that poly should not be used for this part of the car?
  7. I've got a feeling that his feedback rating will start to drop shortly, most of the ones left so far are the same as pbryant...left feedback when they received the item before attempting to fit. I'd complain to them to give them a chance and then contact ebay, you might find out those other positive feedbacks have also gone on to complain when it came time to fit the items. If enough complaints go to ebay then he'll be dealt with.
  8. That is a shocking fit. His description does say cutting and reshaping may be required: "Please note: As with all FRP body kits preperation work which includes sanding, cutting and reshapping may be required, we also recommend that all our body kits are primed before painting. We recommend that all our products are fitted by a specialist aftermarket body kit shop or by someone who has experience in fitting after market fibreglass body kits. Please read our terms and coniditions BEFORE your may your purchase." Also says something similar in the actualy terms and conditions as well: "It is normal that body kits may require extensive modification to fit. We will not issue a refund due to poor fitment."

Hope they aint gone through any speed cameras on the chip shop run or you'll be getting the letter from the DVLA instead of the apprentice mechanic
  10. Evening all, anyone on here with Ultralites? I'm waiting for a set being delivered and I can't find the centrebore listed anywhere, anybody on here know what they are? I would guess 73? Just trying to find out so that I can get spigot rings ordered before the wheels arrive. Cheers
  11. Business Link is the place for you, its the government business portal. Tons of 'self serve' stuff online and access to local support via the directories like the 'business support finder', pump in your postcode and tick the appropriate boxes for your type of business and it will give you the results for you area. Here's a link to the business support finder, the local authorities and support agencies submit their updates every 6 months to this site - http://online.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg/action/bsfSearch?viewPersonalList=false&purposeId=0&r.lc=en&page=1
  12. How much do you pay for your insurance? If your on a 'normal' policy paying a crazy premium then getting a £300 banger as suggested may be more economical, once you have a 'normal' policy on another car you then qualify for classic insurance on the zed for £200-300, if you are paying over a grand for insurance at the moment like some folk on here then you could actually end up saving money out of it - keep it keep it keep it :hammer:
  13. here's my wee misty blue, 4 year old blue merle border collie. One of her when she was young, one of her now being nosey and one of her cheering on her favourite team
  14. Mine seems to develop an itch and gets skin like you've described now and again and the vets give me doggy piriton and that always seems to do the trick...the vet thinks its an allergy to certain plants/flowers/grasses...its a bloody sheepdog from a farm! A couple of times it was really bad so they gave her steroids as well to help her shift it. You can buy it online without having to go to the vets as well.
  15. I always have the same problem, just tried that same thread as a test and it tells me I'm not authirised
  16. Should have also added, sorry this has happened to you and hope you have better luck with your new tenants and it don't cost you too much
  17. I live in a block of four flats and only one of them is rented out by a landlord, other three are all owner occupiers and the landlord continually puts in arsehole tenants and it really pisses me off and the other homeowners (not just in this building but most of the street) that he doesn't do more checking up on them before and during their tenancy because you might have to tidy up the mess when they leave but the neighbours had to live through that shite every day and night...currently I need to lose sleep over arseholes shouting at each other and listening to loud music late at night, not to mention having to look at the state of the garden that hasn't been done in 5 years since he bought the place, the sold sign is still fecking there and its full of furniture they decided to chuck out but haven't bothered to arrange for it to be be taken to the dump, fighting in the streets etc etc Not a personal jibe at you but maybe if my latest neighbours from hell trash his flat and cost him a five figure sum then maybe he will pay closer attention to the future tenants and my quality of live will improve, rant over.
  18. Its quite telling if you visit his profile and see who his only friend listed is
  19. It was a non standard blue colour. You can't pm me because I'm only a registered user not subbed. Sorry bud thats a good find and you can advise members of it but a direct link to the site would not be fair to other paying traders on this site. Gary Wilson
  20. I'm not selling or arranging any sales here but just thought I'd post in case anyone is looking for parts for an pre-87 z31. A guy pulled up next to me when I was driving my z31 the other day to ask if I was looking for parts as he had one in his scrap yard in Irvine, I took a run out to see it yesterday because I'm looking for some headlights and it turned out to be an early one (mine is a facelift and headlights are different size so no good for me). Most parts still seemed to be there and the boot was full of bits n bobs including what appeared to be a pair of newish looking coilovers. I'm not selling or advertising on their behalf but if anyone is in need of bits then pop your email or mobile up and I'll email or txt you their details.
  21. I say take the kids mate, if you only get to see them once a fortnight then surely any extra time is a bonus, and if you were to say no then do you think she would cancel her holiday...or just make the kids go stay with someone else instead of you? I would take the opportunity when replying to her txt to remind her of the time she wasn't so accommodating for you and tell her that you expect her to be more understanding of your work (and other) commitments in the same way you are accommodating her holidays and helping her out when she wants to flit from one guys place to another and say that you will try to arrange the time off and get back to her, then let her wait a few days before you confirm.
  22. Sold an xr2 on it last year with free ad, I think when you get to the last screen of adding an add the default might be premium and you have to untick it or something but mine was free for sure
  23. Its the tyre size thats needed mate - then stick the info in to a calculator like this one that gives you your actual speed versus what your speedo says - http://www.rimsntires.com/rt_specs.jsp
