  1. What sort of ball park figure are you talking about for the spray job? I'm toying with the idea at the moment, both bumpers really need done but considering the full bhunna but haven't found anywhere in Glasgow that comes with glowing references just yet
  2. Guess what they bought his 5 year old sister for her birthday http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-412195/Tesco-condemned-selling-pole-dancing-toy.html
  3. Yip mate, that was lifted from the paypal website for purchases NOT from ebay which this one would fall under since he didn't 'buy' it through ebay, just contacted you through your ad.
  4. Oh and its a late facelift model z31 - http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/af324/z31300zx/DSCF0300.jpg?t=1271106283 Cheers Si, any suggestions on ones that would suit? Also been looking at these ones http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a366/car-bitz/Alloy%20wheels/row%203/nr%204/DSC08525.jpg
  5. I'm considering a set of mazda rx8 alloys for my z31, the guy selling them doesn't know much about them so I've been gathering info online. They have a big offset so would require a fairly chunky set of spacers (hubcentric of course) for starters to push them out towards the arches, from what I can gather online it looks like the centre bore for the rx8 is 67.1mm, with the z31 being 66.1mm - with that 1mm difference do you think there would be much vibration? Do you even get spigot rings that are only 1mm thick? And secondly, any opinions on how they would look on a black z31? Pic of wheels - http://is.gumtree.com/image/big/7147169.jpg They are 18s and advertised as chrome but I think they look more like dark silver in the photo, which I prefer.
  6. No probs mate, handy link when viewing a car as well, just take a note of the numbers from paperwork and go check it out before committing to a purchase. I'd go for option one, then even if you give up on it at least it has a certificate to let someone drive away in it if they purchase as whole car, if it fails then they at least have a failure sheet and know exactly what they are getting into.
  7. Cheers, thought I was going crackers for a minute! :wheelchair:
  8. Mods - not sure what's going on, I replied to this thread and it appeared as a new thread on its own?? Anyway, here is what I posted You don't have anything to worry about mate, here are a couple of quotes from paypal that may put your mind at ease, from the buyer protection page: "If the Claim is decided in your favour, your recovery is limited to the amounts that PayPal can recover from the seller's Account." - If you don't have any money in the account then they can't take it can they? Also - under exclusions "Complaints related to vehicles, airline travel, custom-made items and eBay classified advertisements are not covered under the Buyer Complaint policy." He messed you about, he lost £200, end of. Here's the page I got that from - https://www.paypal-marketing.co.uk/s...ionOffEbay.htm
  9. I think you can view the advisories here mate if that helps - http://motinfo.direct.gov.uk/internet/jsp/ECHID-Internet-History-Request.jsp
  10. I would have done the same mate (and have in the past when neighbours cars/motorbikes have been getting unwanted attention), thankless task but if you hadn't done it then who is to say he wouldn't have taken it out on your motor or house. I've been lucky that there has been no retaliation and hopefully you will too, he's probably too out his face to remember where it happened and if he did then the fact that you were willing to have a go should be enough for the shitebag not to come back for revenge...these types are generally only willing to pick on women and other people that they know will run away when threatened, just daft wee boys.
  11. what about this mob have you tried them? http://www.multivehiclecover.co.uk/
  12. I was in the black z31, you were behind me in a red z32 for a couple of miles all the way from Govan to more or less city centre when I took off after The Quay...and you failed to entertain me by keeping up or wasting me up the inside  Nice front end, that's all I could see in my wing mirror...couldn't see anything out of my rear view mirror thanks to my sagging headliner!! :blushing: and yes it was filthy, only its second run of the year and was treated to a wash later in the afternoon.
  13. Cool, its a good reference point when she is looking for info and is worth having a check of the grants and support directory in case there is anything worth while that comes up for her, there is a tool that tells will save a list of all relevant legislation relating to your specific type of business which could come in handy for health & safety stuff as well. There is also an initiative we run called 'Women into Business', the Edinburgh area runs some networking events now and again and have guest speakers and stuff like that, but its generally a good place to spread the word about your new business to all the other 'sistas doin it for themselves' in your area  and potentially get new customers or suppliers and stuff like that.
  14. Tell her to check out http://www.bgateway.com for business advice...I work on the site, its run by Scottish Enterprise a public sector body so I'm not doing a sales job here :innocent: the content covers all sorts for people starting up or wanting to grow their business, there's a directory of support which she may or may not be eligible for, things like business rates discounts etc, there are also useful tools like a growth action plan and the HMRC (and other Government sites) content will be migrated over to the site in the future making it the Government portal for business transactions - doing tax returns online etc and its all managed under one online account
  15. This was happening to my mrs car (not a zed) and I just removed the idle control valve and put it in a wee tupperware dish and emptied a whole can of wd40 in and left it sitting in it overnight, got up in the morning and it was all shiny like new, fitted it back in and its ran trouble free for a year since
  16. That seriously sucks! He has the cheek to say "Please note that bidding on this car with the intent of not buying will not be tolerated." in the ad...if he has no intention of selling it to the winner then he shouldn't have it advertised! I notice he didn't put on the bit about reserving the right to withdraw the car (which he didn't he let it run the duration!) on the ad until his update on On 22-Mar-10 at 12:26:24 GMT, did you bid before this update? Not that the statement really counts since he didn't withdraw it. Show up at his door with the money in your hand and call him out :2guns:
  17. some feedback from people daft enough to buy it - This item is bullsh#t it DOESNT WORK a house fan has more power DONT BUY RIPOFF! - it was a garbige (that's not me trying to put on an italian accent, that is how it was typed on ebay  )
  18. the guys feedback is good so you never know he might give you a refund but you would more than likely have to pay return postage and you probably wouldn't get the £12 postage back from him either, by my reckoning that means you could be in for a payday refund of 35p!! It also states no refunds so you might not even get that 35p. And the postage time I think he is just about on time as it states he would dispatch within three days of a cleared payment and given that it ended in the evening of 14th it seems like he may have been a day or so late sending it. The joys of ebay, at least it wasn't an expensive item
  19. the 911 is a bargain too  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1988-porsche-911-3-2-G50-Cabriolet_W0QQitemZ120482292889QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item1c0d4de499
  20. going to school sounds like fun...but the treck home must be a major pita!! Her wee brother pops his head out the bag at the other side to tell her he forgot his homework and they need to walk home to get it
  21. They must have taken it back off the guy that paid over £8k for it because its the same seller that's now advertising it at £5k http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CHOP-SHOPS-SUMO2-SHOW-CAR-Lamborghini-Ferrari-wheel-lhd_W0QQitemZ130374048008QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item1e5ae61908
  22. check out the feedback from the person who bought it last time VERY BAD PAINTWORK CRACKED TATTY DASH BAD WHEEL EXTENTIONS (DANGEROUS)? tcb0121 ( 52 [Feedback score is 50 to 99] ) 28-Feb-10 18:30 * Reply by ddnsupercars (04-Mar-10 19:14): Sumo2 How can you blame me for how a car was made on a tv show! u did no reserch o Follow-up by tcb0121 (12-Mar-10 23:51): RELATES TO CHOP SHOPS SUMO 2 SHOW CAR BMW 325I CUSTOM ALSO CAT C WRITE OFF
  23. I hadn't even noticed it was you who originally posted it on that thread lol was too busy slabbering over the pics
  24. Cheers, I've been looking at a set similar to the ones in this pic from that post http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=51922&stc=1&d=1262211360 These ones are staggered fitment Front - 7.5 wide with offset of 47 and tyres 225/45/17 Rear - 8.5 wide with offset of 50 and tyres 245/40/17 Anybody any ideas what size spacers would be needed to fill those arches?
  25. Hi chaps, anybody know what the ideal offset of a set of wheels should on a z31 to avoid the wheels hiding inside the arches? Also, looking for ideas for wheels so anybody got any nice pics of z31s with nice wheels post them up please :thumbup1: Cheers
