Difference with Optimax is pretty much instant, great stuff for all cars. You should also notice improved MPG :) TT owners should'nt really run the Zed on anything but optimax ...especially if its a J-spec, with stock ECU...or has increased boost.

Anyone know what the stock exhaust bore diameter is ? and if it varies then im specifically interested in the bore size of the pipes between cats and backbox. Ta. :)

Ouch - Risky subject. There is plenty of other threads on this if you do a search. In terms of performance - Your not going to lose any by choosing either. In fact the Auto is slightly quicker 0-100mph. The Auto box does'nt seem to be quite as reliable and cant take as much power (if seeking big power) as the Manual, and can also be costly to get repaired or replaced. There is not really a "kit" to convert an Auto to Manual. What you have seen is essentially a whole Manual gearbox and everything that is needed to rip out the Autobox and fit a manual. Costs are around £1000 - £1500 for parts and labour. :x: IMO I dont think a "Supercar/Sports car" should have a slushbox :x: and I definatly preferred the Manual after test driving about half a dozen , but you will hear from plenty of Auto owners who love their Autobox's and as far as Autoboxes go, the Zed autobox is a very good one.

I would presume the RAC have the same rules as the AA. If you get a flat, and you dont carry a servicable spare..they wont cover you. Instead they send a local recovery truck which you have to pay yourself.

But I can remember them being around for the past 10 years at least.. and they've always been horrid :(

The best eyebrow version I've yet to seen on any car, in terms of quality workmanship....but I personally dislike eyebrows and feel its a shame to hide one of the Zed's best visual Characteristics.

Insurance is the same for NA and TT, and TT's can be had at stupidly cheap prices at the moment.

you forget Velour. Phase 2, 3, 4 ..etc did'nt have Tweed, but Velour instead. I went from Tweed to Leather. Transforms the Interior, especially when u replace all the panels too. Any car that cost over £25k new should have leather IMO....and with zed being just shy of £40k new, tweed is very very wrong :nono: :hurl:

You would need to be able to pivot the screen once in place.
