  1. It has to be cut/grinded out. Its held in by a few spot welds.
  2. I would'nt worry too much about trying to match the vrx8 power, the Z is a about 300kg lighter. Personally I would have it mapped and running at about 15-16 psi which is more than enough to show the the vrx8 your tailpipes. By all means push for 17-18 if your having it mapped on the rollers where fueling and temps are being fully monitored, and see what you get, but I wouldn't want to run around on an old engine and tubs at this level personally.

  4. Unfortunatly no they dont give a time, so unless your familiar with the courier being used (so that you know what time their route passes you), then its a waiting ame. \
  5. Big fan of the early Camaro's and Mustang's. The Trans Am is an embarrassment in the UK though.
  6. Well Said, and glad to hear...your not alone in wanting this.
  7. LOL , he means lending the use of over a weekend. Its what we've done in the past, im sure its something to look into again, we must have plenty of members with Work vans.....just need one local to the Event(s). It was setup a several years back when I was a REO, but seems to have gone unspoken of since.

  10. make sure any aftermarket spoilers, rear lights and tailgate strips are fully sealed.
  11. I was lead to believe that the Jap has narrower rear due to laws/regulations at the time in Japan that restricted minimum tyre profile size. All other markets had wider rears. Wether thats true or not I dont know, but as for the Tyre tread width issue, a wider tyre does not necessarily have a wider tread area as Gio's pics of unloaded tyres shows, but what it will have is a wider rather than longer contact area under load, providing more uniform load distribution which gives increased lateral grip for the same vertical load. They also fill the Arch space better, and the offset difference gives a wider track width for more stability and increased load transfer, as well as looking slightly better.
  12. Any local Paint supplier thats not Halfords. There is usually at least one Trade Automotive Paint supply company in most Big Towns - Yellow pages or similar to find your local supplier.
  13. parcel2go are great. Used them a LOT (5-15 parcels everyday for a couple of years) , using their DHL service. Not used them a while now, but that should come under their basic DHL next day delivery for about £10
  14. I believe the E46 is faster, better handling and more refined. The E36 is perhaps a rawer driving experience, but if that's what is wanted I would go for the E30 M3 instead, or a E46 M3 CSL. I find the E36 looks dated these days. Im far more a fan of the M5, but can appreciate why the M3 is a popular choice.
  15. Inspiration  (although yours look fantastic as it is !)
  16. Sorry, yeh its 60mm per side.
  17. Strosek variants are 60mm wider (30mm either side) edit: My mistake, its 60mm per side.
  18. G-reg is Aug 89 onwards, Yes it was the end of the s12 production and beginning of the Z32, but what i was getting at is the difference in terms of styling of the time seems more than just a single generation gap imo.
  19. Happy Birthday lee !
  20. I cant really see the difference between it and a Bluebird. Its not retro enough to be retro cool. The Z32 was out the same year as that car - they look more like 20 years apart.
  21. UK Clocks Jap Clocks
  22. Yes, UK vs Jap. UK clocks are in MPH (with kph on the inside circle) and boost and oil pressure gauges in psi. Jap Clocks are in KPH with pressure gauges in mmHGx100 UK clocks are also visually better looking IMO , with more detailing (from the combined mph & kph speedo) . Most Jap owners want to convert there KPH to MPH, and by far the best way to do this is with a set of UK clocks as aftermarket mph>kph converters are unreliable and have a improper affect on other systems like Power steering. So basically with about 85%+ of Z's in the UK being Imports it makes UK clocks a rare sought after upgrade and Jap clocks ten a penny.
  23. Yep, Door cards are the same.
