Electronic Control Unit - Its the Computer that controls Fueling and timing and monitors all the sensors on the car. Its an electronic box, usually about size of a car Stereo. Fitted inside (usually in passenger footwel under the carpet) or under a plastic cover in engine bay.

99spec tends to block out the headlight and grill area of any cars following you. So you can see behind you, you just cant see what is behind you LOL

Was engine running, the clutch is vacumn assisted to make it lighter. Will be very heavy when engine off though.

Its the same labour to change pump as it is to change belt (he may not actually even realise this yet). You have to remove all the same parts to get to them both (Rad, fan, camcovers..etc). Nissan belt is between £30-£60 depending on where you buy from.

Fuel temp sender is located between the plenum, on or next to (cant remember) the injector rail. Its probably become disconnected or connector has corrosion. Im not sure if it will put the car in safety mode, but it may cause car to run richer/overfuel. You probably just need to reset ECU (disconnect battery for 1hr+) to clear the code 13

Range Rover would get my vote too. But I'd go for the Bmw 2.5TD engine instead. More reliable, economical and suprisingly powerfull and smooth. Would never have instead of a Zed though...great daily driver with zed as 2nd car.

You wont find them at any Normal bulb stockists. You will find H3 (not H3c) which can be modified to fit, involves a minor bit of wiring....search for answers. You can however purchase H3c bulbs from Danny @ DTA

a lot of articles/reviews get the auto vs manual weakness mixed up. :rolleyes: Trouble is that once somebody gets it wrong everyone else just copies.

That honda engine does fail, was left stranded on the M4 about 6 months back when rod went through the block on a mates Rover coupe. He fitted new engine, and sold the car on....and new engine blew up as well LOL Obviously not the case in this scenario though. Seller is a :xxx: Dont pay £1000 though, you can pick up complete 216's for £50 with good engines.

ahhhh..yes as Funkysi and Royal say, if its for vehicles newer than 10 years, then you dont need to worry about it since its not possible to import a 300zx newer than 1997 anyway as you have to have a model report for the ESVA, and one one does not exist.

I dont see the point of a smaller 350z. Its already 2 seater sports car thats small enough, it would hardly put it in a different class...it would have to become more like a mx5 to put it in another class, and that pic looks barely smaller. 350z is already a boxter competitor. Looks more like a possible new/facelift 350z to me. Roofline looks all wrong.

With UK clocks it will be limited to 155....although some seem to hit 165 before limiter kicks in. An ECU chip can be supplied and fitted for less than £100 though, and along with its many advantages such as being mapped to enable safe running of higher boost it will also remove the speed limiter and move the rev limiter.

We have two 300zx Importers on the site. Lee at Import-ance and Kirbz.
