  1. 87mm Most forged pistons start from 87.5mm 88 mm gives you about 3.1 litre 90mm gives you about 3.2 litre Cylinder walls are quite thin though.
  2. Nissan Dealer...or can try MJP to see if he can do it cheaper
  3. I would'mt say you notice the difference between front and side, have seen lots with it changed, and definatly looks better with blue windscreen.
  4. I see various supra's and zed's parked together every day and the mkiv supra looks more updated than the 300zx, stock vs stock....not as attractive, but definatly newer looking. GTO on the other hand has always been ugly and brash.
  5. I'd go for the Blue tint, wether or not you have Jap or UK...it looks much better!
  6. Ah right. They look fantastic....I've been in 2 minds for quite some time - I cant decide wether to cough up the cash and time to go for the same style custom widearch myself or just go for pulling & rolling the arches like hese drifters. Im going to need the extra width for better traction with a wider track and tyre widths
  7. Happy birthday to you both :duffer: :duffer:
  8. Im considering the SPL coilovers, they seem to be better made than the Teins and use a superior Mono tube construction. They have excellent reviews in the states but does anyone in the UK have these fitted...would be interested in opinions if you have
  9. ^^^^ oopss..that was my post, was on pauls PC...
  10. Thats a great looking car...although ofcourse it has been modified.... Lowered, Big wheels, 99spec rear lights, exhausts which all makes a big difference to its looks.... plus its a shortie which IMO is better looking that the more common 2+2 anyway. A nice clean looking stock 300zx looks great (except for the stock orange indicators on side and rear) and even better with 99spec and other subtle changes. Some kits look great...some completly ruin the car. I love widearch kits though.
  11. You mean under the nose panel ? - Aircon Receiver Dryer

If the needle does not sit far over to the left it indicates a Vacumn/boost leak. However the stock gauge is famously innaccurate.
  13. Hi mate, welcome....loads of us :D Check out the SW section for future meets...we have one on June 10th in Taunton (a drag race event) and a Rolling road day in Plymouth in july. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=89
  14. You bypassed the entire plenum...thats not a good idea..you need that to channel the air into the engine
  15. In english - http://www.impul.co.jp/index_top2.htm But product page not in english http://www.impul.co.jp/products/complete/z32.fairlady.htm
  16. Been following this on the various US forums, and have sumarised below. This is the SPL 300zx owned and driven by Mike Kojima and Ryan Schimsk competing in the Redline time attack event at California speedway. It got 2nd at the Modified Class, losing only by 0.2 seconds to a NSX Twin Turbo(!) with 650RWHP driven my Pro race driver. It beat plenty of highly modified Impreza's, Evo's, 350z's, S2000's and porches. Neither Mike or Ryan are pro drivers, and neither had been on the Califonia speedway track before. In Car footage 1 - http://www.splparts.com/events/redline0207/Redline2.mpg In Car footage 2 - Against Modified 600hp Porsche GT2 - http://www.splparts.com/events/redline0207/Redline1.mpg In Car & Spectator footage - http://www.splparts.com/events/redline0207/Redline.mpg The 2nd Place track session - http://www.splparts.com/events/redline0207/redline3.mpg
  17. Unplug connectors, undo the 2 bolts on each coilpack and remove and you have access to the plugs. You do however have to remove he balance bar to get to the back two plugs, when doing so just make sure the rubber 0-rings underneath the balance bar dont fall into the plenum when you lift it off. p.s as above, I would'nt recomend any plugs except the NGK PFR6b-11b's @ £55 set
  18. The RPS street clutch is a more popular choice and cheaper
  19. Will try, but its finding an exact match..... hopefully
  20. Yay...fingers crossed for you :D
  21. Thanks......I have to retrim (in leather to match the armrests) the SWB specific trim that sits behind the rear seats now though, as Parts came from a LWB and Im never going to find a SWB with the suede trim breaking :(
  22. To plug 12v utilities into LOL Mobile phone charger, TomTom...etc All cars have them as standard, in the form of a cigarette lighter.
  23. I like these - Kaminari side skirts, subtle but effective
  24. Car overheated ?....how bad...did it sieze..does it restart, have you done a compression test ? You might get away with just having new pump.......
