north yorkshire help
This might be of some help,. I think I've got most of them, any missed should be obvious once you have loom in place.

single turbo conversion....
No, typically 1 big turbo = more lag, longer to spool..etc.....but potentially more peak power. There are no "kits" available for the Z32. It wold have to be completely custom, and very expensive.

jap spec turbo guage
Ignore it. Fit a Aftermarket gauge.

max speed of a tt
196mph Manual and 204mph Auto are the max theoritical top speeds that could be achieved with the stock gearing (ie Max revs matched with gear ratios). They are no where near achievable with stock power however. 175 'ish with limiter removed is about right though.

replacing zeds gear knob
Some come of very easily by hand, others need a lot of persuasion. If a set of grips dont help then you may have to resort to cutting it off.....just make sure you only cut the gearknob and not through to the shaft.

Your zed- an every day car?
Dont expect a big saving in fuel (in fact if you do a lot of motorway mileage then it can cost more in fuel ! ) and the NA is just as tempting to go fast in...they love high revs.

Undersealing...
I was just going to do myself...but now Im concerned...£450....there is more to it than just spraying the underside with a £10 can of underseal then ?

Have you seen this!!!
It aint that bad !! Quite a few members here have that front bumper. The arches are rare abflug items, I quite like them. The rear arches have been rolled badly though, but yeh I'd agree with Marcus that it probably had bigger wheels originally.

Anyone know if SWZ performance are open Saturdays?
Usually open, but most specialist garages are by appointment. Give them a call or email to confirm.

Saving weight.
Of the top of my head - Front : Aircon - Pump, Radiator, Reciever, Bracket and pipes EGR AIV Lightweight battery Lightweight Pulley hicas solenoid and pipework Centre : Lightweight 1 piece prop Lightweight Seats Rear Spoiler Spare wheel Tailgate weight Tool kit Wiper Aerial NA read end means The NA rear differential (which has shorter gear ratio too) with complete subframe and driveshafts. The two key areas for weight removal are Unsprung weight and drivetrain weight. So items to consider such as Lightweight wheels. pulleys, props etc have key advantages.

Saving weight.
You should retain correct weight distribution. My slicktop is just over 100kg lighter so far (without removing any interior trim), but the weight has been removed evenly from the front, centre and rear, with slightly more taken from the front. I've not fitted the NA subframe and Diff yet but I have rear roll cage to go in too. Will be going on weighbridge in the next couple of weeks, should see a KG weight figure in the upper 1300's

Your zed- an every day car?
I used my previous Black TT and Silver NA everyday...and if you can afford the fuel costs they are great daily drivers ! Both were very reliable for me too and (exluding fuel costs) actually cost me less in 3 years to maintain and repair than any of my much newer cars! I'd rate there reliablity far higher than most other cars there age.....in fact most cars there age have long gone to scrapyard heaven ! My Slicktop will be a little too extreme for a daily driver though

Running in after rebuild
Im not a believer in sticking to low revs and low throttle for XXX amount of miles. Varied RPM and loads is the key. Its worth noting that every 300zx was treated to a full speed run on a rolling road before it ever left the factory.

Fan in the roof panel......what does it do ?
You cant "see" it, its inside the roof light cluster thingy majiggy wotsit.

OK how many of you are on zclub mag. cover lol!
There was an article in "Banzai" too with lots of pics, unfortunatly they seemed to have only taken shots of the Classic Z's and the 350's and not included any Z32's :(

360 spider
I was in a Zed last week, when we came across a Ferrari 355. He tried to get away along A-road but we were stuck with him everytime he accelerated.....then we reached motorway sliproad and we easily passed him and left him behind and he was flooring it......there was no way in the world he was not giving it everything he had, even heard him hitting rev limiter. Zed was faster but Ferrari sounded so much better ! A 360 might be lighter (not lighter than my zed though! ;) ) but weight does'nt have as much affect at higher speeds however having 100ib/ft less torque than krsmayo's zed would have a big affect.
