  1. It is undersealed. All Z32's are. Its not a bad idea to get it re-undersealed though if there is signs of damage to the underside from road debris or poor jacking in the past.
  2. Providing they both had ABS then they are the same.
  3. Price is all speculation anyway. Other reports are saying sub £50k, and others say no more than £55k GBP and $80k USD for the U.S market. ..and they reckon at least £45k on the road price for a personal import on the GTR forums.
  4. or use the forum search , there are 37 threads mentioning nexus
  5. WOW !! The craftsmanship and detail is stunning
  6. sorry, just checked, I was thinking of the Monaco bucket seat. Yeh, the Daytona is a pretty good recliner.
  7. Taxes certainly play a big part. but there are other costs to recover. I believe predicted price is going to be more like £55k in the UK, but will be of higher specification than the Jap spec - with Satnav, leather and other options all standard. Then there are the specification changes required to meet UK legislation (fogs, bumper shapes fir number plate sizes...etc) and other UK specific changes (ECU remapping, spring rates, speedo..etc). Dealership training and tooling costs, promotional costs, Importing costs...etc Not to mention bigger dealer profit margins because of economy differences. Its the same for all Jap Models, not just the latest GTR
  8. That would mostly be becuase the Daytona's are a budget seat. Big differences in quality, comfort and support as you go up the Cobra price scale.
  9. You'll want to fit standard sized skyline discs, otherwise you'll need to design and fit custom brackets to move the calipers out further. Trouble with skyline wheels is they use the same width front and rears. 9.5" front rims are too wide for the front of the zed with standard arches.
  10. yeh..although Im sure they outsource...but still yeh :)
  11. I would'nt say that...it all depends on who is doing the recon. Dont forget the GT525's are essentially just recons with upgrades, hence the core exhange charge, they rebuild the GT525's from stock turbos with new parts just like any turbo reconditioner. It is however a lot cheaper to buy these from the U.S than it would be to have a Reputable company in the UK do the same recon upgrade.
  12. the GT525's are definattly 4 bolt. They are built from Standard cores.
  13. Auto, Manual, TT, NA, LWB, SWB all different combinations of front and rear props. Its a bit of a headache sorting the correct prop out for each application.
  14. Gearboxes are the same.
  15. ok, I was wrong. The fronts are the same, the rear is shorter on a SWB,
  16. hang on...I might have got that the wrong way around....checking...
  17. yes, the front half is longer/shorter. Rear half is the same. edit: its the rear half that is shorter
  18. There isn't so many NA 0-60 tests about, but high 6secs to low 7secs seems typical. A TT with a 1 bar boost increase with Chip, Exhaust and Filter will easily give a 0-60 under 5 secs, and a 0-100 in under 12 secs (standard is about 14 secs). also - Even although a TT will do mid 5secs 0-60 in standard form, 0-60 is'nt its best test and will be quicker in the mid range and top speed than most other cars capable of similar 0-60 times.
  19. better specs ? Faster 0-60 than an NA yeh, but not a TT Average tested TT 0-60 is 5.6 seconds, and Car and Driver magazine recorded a 5.0 sec 0-60 in 1991 with a stock TT Manual SWB
  20. petrol has a shelf life of around 12 months...however octane level will drop by about 2 points after around 100 hours in a sealed environment. i doubt this has anythng to do with your symptons though steve. Check the Temp sender connector is securely seated, and check it for corrosion. Is the Aux fan running ?
  21. probably not tbh....mine was removed on my last zed for about 18months or so and I never noticed any issues.
  22. to counterbalance the weight of the Rear wiper to prevent the thin tailgate outer skin from flexing ;)
  23. Boost controllers are generic, you dont get specific fitment. I'd recommend a Greddy profec B Spec II as a good value EBC that does what it says on the tin.
  24. no, but looking now - there product choice is limited and on the few products I just compared they are more expensive than the bigger U.S Z32 dedicated stores. I see they do some of there own manufactured products, which are quite good value..depending on quality.
  25. Im sure you already know, but Jimmer is running the GT525's and has been happy with them. Ofcourse the U.S claimed Power figures are way out on what you'll typically achieve here. I think Jimmer is looking at around 400rwhp with 19/20psi. They are very good value. I've not been in a Z32 with the GT525's, but I have been in other reworked T25 Hybrids, and they offer good spoolup with a strong power increase across the range without tailing of as much as stock turbos at higher rpm. All I would say is you dont want to wish you had gone bigger 6 months down the line. I reckon they probably suit your requirements quite well though. My choice should I upgrade would be the JWT 530BB's (Garrett GT2554R) they are about £700 more but do include 5 bolt downpipes from Z1. Would be interesting for somebody to be able to put up a comparison between then if anyone has experience.
