  1. in that case, no need to for spring compressors at all. Just bolt on. The suspension arms and hub just drop right down when car is jacked up. You may have to put some weight on the the arms to lever the shock in, but thats it.
  2. The bodyshop will be able to get the paint a lot cheaper than you...and if its wrong..then its his fault. Get him to get the paint mixed to match to your bodywork (eg. using petrol filler cap..etc).
  3. Happy Birthday Si and Mark :duffer: :duffer: Lucky sod
  4. No, not unless you buy the springs already fitted to the shockers or you buy coilovers. Do not attempt with any form of "make-do" spring compressors...eg Vice, Clamps..etc
  5. Tbh £500 is the typical price for a set of Perforamnce Shocks and springs, coilvovers are usually twice that price (although there are these budget coilovers - D2/K-sport ..etc which are cheaper) - Just be carefull of the spring rates - You dont want any higher than 8kg front or 6kg rear for a car thats going to be used primarily on the road. Perhaps used would be a better option
  6. I dont think I'll be going this year.
  7. K-sport and D2 are the same products just with different branding.
  8. Surely the focus would be equivalent to the escort but prices for them are £10k-£17k ? But yeh, your point still applies......not sure how prices would compare for exotics like ferrari's, astons though
  9. I have just had one made up for mine, so if you want me to take the ball for this and run with it I can (and providing its ok with the comittee/tlo ? ). I did already enquire about pricing..etc and did'nt see a problem with being able to meet the original quoted price....
  10. Its bad for the older style injectors (pre 95) but fine with the New Style Pintle-less Fuel Injectors I believe ?

  12. Silver Te37 TE37 Time attack White Te37 Bronze Te37
  13. SPL Coilovers are $1099 + $180 shipping. So between £660 and £800 depending on wether you get hit with Full Duty/Vat ..etc Spring rates are a much more arse pleasing 8kg front and 6kg rear
  14. There are some D2 coilovers on ebay now but they are £680 and the spring rates are too stiff for the road IMO (12kg and 8kg which is stiffer than Teins, SPL..etc) I'll be ordering a set of SPL coilovers in the next few weeks.
  15. I have some pics of Z32's with the TE37's and the LM GT4's that I will post up when I get home 2nite.
  16. Top choices, good to see somebody shopping for quality lightweight performance wheels! The TE37 is on my list of choces, but they need to be in the wider size with the right offset to look best. Im also considering CE28n, Work XD9 and a couple of other Rays/Volk wheels. Get them photoshopped on your car so we judge better :)
  17. Z28 is a corvette is'nt it ? lol 1984-1989 is Z31 1989-2000 are Z32 This is a z31 : and all the cars on this site are Z32. They are pretty much completely different cars.
  18. They look pretty good them. Paying extra for peak/warning features is well worth it.
  19. Have you seen any oil leaks ? Do you have aftermarket gauges for oil pressure/temp and water temp ? - if so what were there readings? If you take the oil cap of and smell the oil does it smell burnt ? I did a compression test on an overheated engine today that had zero compression on all 6 cylinders and all the coilpacks had melted inside the heads !
  20. oh dear, there is not much more than half a litre between the min and max dipstick reading. Somebody deserved a :slap: for that.
  21. All those meets you mentionned (except for the recent local friday night ones) were Official 300zx meets ! Its just that you and Alan either volunterred to organise them as you knew the areas best or just took it apon yourselves to do it when the meets were suggested. yes you guys are overdue a Gloucester meet, and in fairness there have been a lot down in Devon over the past year...but your still the next busiest area (Bristol and Gloucester) with Somerset and Cornwall getting the least....and barely any Gloucester members turn up to any of the bristol meets which is closer to you guys than nearly everybody else in the region yet everyone else travels much further to get to them. You may be the exception there Kev as I know you live right out in the sticks and you've not had your car on the road and I know what that can do to your motivation for meets, but it applies to others
  22. Depends on the rest of his mods though.
