  1. Blimey, I had never even considered this. I often replace my daily drivers and usually do the same as you. Hope it gets sorted for you.
  2. What year RS ? According to various google searches : The Mk1 had 212hp and is not even close to a stock TT. The Mk2 has 300hp, a little lighter than a LWB but drives the wrong wheels. Its a little slower than a a stock TT, but not far behind. Neither would stand a chance next to a 400hp TT.
  3. I did 1000 miles to collect the shell for my slicktop project. Took 30 hours there and back. Madness ! For my first Z I scheduled a trip to see 6 different Z's from different sellers all on the same day. Was a nightmare getting sorted. I purchased the 5th one, the rest were junk.
  4. Cool, it starts at 13:00 mins in.
  5. LOL Welcome to the club D9A1N !
  6. Just to backup what Medallion Man said : H3 = UK H3c = Jap Jap/UK HID fitemnt : H3 H1 is High beam (Dont fit HID's for Highbeam though) 9006 is the U.S 300zx low beam fitment.
  7. Couple of Z's seen going sideways, anyone from here ?
  8. re: Its Australia origins......the UAS bodyparts are from Unique Autosports in Australia.
  9. Potential bargain, decent engine spec (turbos a bit weak) but the rest of the car is nothing special, has no mot and is'nt driveable to test it. Your paying for the Engine, which is in bits needing a rebuild. Buyer would be taking a risk, but could turn out well.
  10. Very Interesting. Could be a major headache for buyer though.
  11. I lost patience with me a long time ago. I had to put the car on hold for the past few years.
  12. The Greddy's must be a copy of the Impul's , or vice versa as they look identical to my Impuls to me.
  13. Since yours is the only Z in the UK I have ever heard of having them it would be impossible for anyone to state how much they are worth. Brand new they were something like £900, but I think the most people pay for skirts is about £300, and you can get Replica's from iconics in america for about £200. I can imagine somebody paying a lot more if they were really after a set of such rare genuine items, if you wanted to sell them you could ask for offers, see what happens.
  14. Yeah, Its a high pressure, fast paced industry, especially for the factory floor workers where they have a thousand other applicants all eager to do your job. ....but its also one of the most rewarding sectors to work in, especially for the high skilled sectors like engineering, which is why the UK is the home of Motorsport.
  15. Now that looks fun!
  16. Car Mads are Impul replica's which are nice (I have Impuls) but not much like Kaminari. I'd swap mine for Kaminari's in a heartbeat.
  17. You wont get them from a UK supplier....and if any UK suppliers do offer to supply them for you then they wont stock them, they will just order them from a U.S supplier in the same way you can, but add their profit on top. Your best bet is Z1motorsports.
  18. Speak to Alunox ! and go with a X pipe setup.
  19. Sometimes red, other times black or white. Quite often grey and occasionally yellow or blue. :p - - - Updated - - - Its Acrylic Enamel, same as most Manufacturers use (or use to use back then anyway) for mass production.
  20. The KYB AGX with Eibachs is a great road setup if your not looking to go the full adjustable coilover setup, and thats a good price !
  21. I seem to recall that one of the design considerations by Nissan for the 300zx was that you had to be able to fit a fullsize bag of golf clubs in the boot. Never tried though, dont play golf. Also worth noting that it has a false floor, when once removed significantly increases boot depth. We used to take weekend trips to cornwall as a family of 4 with luggage..and our Golden retriever in the LWB ! The SWB Boot is quite a lot deeper than the LWB boot, probably 1.5x the size...but you lose any potential rear seat luggage space.
  22. I was also using 300hp , not 280. 300/1.56 = 192
  23. Yeh, the Micra must be around 900 kg if I had to guess. So around 120hp per ton. Z32 : LWB TT is about 190 hp per ton. Slicktop TT is about 200 hp per ton. LWB NA is about 155 hp per ton. Slicktop NA is about 160 hp per ton
  24. Cool, never knew these existed. Reminds me of the Charade GTTi. I always wanted one of them. 1.0 Turbo - 100hp.
