If your current exhaust is bespoke then its very likely that an off the shelf solution will not fit. All depends on wether they based measurements on the stock system, or if they just custom made it to fit by hand.

You probably have a air lock in the cooling system after replacing the pipe. Undo the bleed screw on the left hand side of the radiator, and top it up from the radiator cap until all the bubbles are gone...give the top rubber water hose a few squeezes to force air out. Ideally you want to top up the water with the car on a slope....front of car higher than back.

They are skinny wheels...narrower than stock, clearly designed for small hatchbacks not big powerfull RWD cars. They will also sit way to far inside the arches, without the aid of big spacers.

That makes a lot of sense Jeff. At this sort of age, it would be beneficial to replace. I would have calibration concerns using an aftermarket sender with the stock gauge though. Would need to know the voltage,impedance, scale used between both to be sure. The stock gauge cluster itself really is pretty naff though.

The senders themselves seem pretty decent (although do bear in mind if its the original then its some 18yrs old or so and pressure hole is very small and can get clogged), but all of the stock Nissan gauges are useless. You can see different temp, boost, oil and fuel readings just changing the clocks :smash:

The auto uses Different cams profiles and turbo sizes to improve response, in an attempt to make up for the Autobox. Auto Camshafts - 240 degree intake cams & 248 degree exhaust cams Manual Camshafts - 248 degree intake cams & 248 degree exhaust cams Auto Turbos - A/R = 0.54 Manual Turbos - A/R = 0.63 In theory an auto-manual converted car would have quicker spool but less top end power than an original Manual car, but in reality there is not really anything in it. I cant say I've ever noticed the difference out of all those I've driven. There are Loads of threads on Manual conversions, but just ask if you cant find what you need or have any specific questions. p.s 300 and 280 is the quoted figures for the U.S Market. For the European Market the figures are 276 bhp for Manual and 263 for Auto. But thats a whole other discussion lol
