  1. Removing the fuse will disable the action of the Hicas, but if there is any play in the hicas arm bushes or the Hicas unit itself then the car can handle unpredictably. Worn hicas bushes are very common.
  2. Very garish. Too pimp for my tastes, and you would need spacers bigger than the wheels themselves to get them to fit properly.
  3. Yep, you'll need an NA rear SWB propshaft (or a NA Manual 1 piece propshaft), and use your own handbrake cables.
  4. Z does'nt have a flywheel pulse sensor. RPM signal is monitored from the CAS. However the other pics show a Knock sensor for a Z32, which sits on the top of the block between the heads (beneath the plenum).
  5. Shocked and Sickened. R.I.P to the young soldier.
  6. Shame about the Tweed and Autobox, but otherwise thats a very nice looking example.
  7. Have no idea what sort of aftermarket setup you have, but with the stock Clocks removing the auto ecu does not affect the Stock rev counter. Sounds like whoever fitted your custom Dial setup wired in the rev counter to the auto ecu tachometer feed instead.
  8. ^^^ Excellent idea Jimmer. Jaffa, Bobgenie and cowpatmatt are doings great things with the 300zx, improving the Z's reputation and Image, and showing what the Z can really do. It would be great if we as a club could stand together to support them at these Time Attack and BDC events.
  9. 2D edge distance would be way overkill on them. Could always do some quick brake calculations and knock them up in CAD for a bit of FEA if anyone really wanted to be sure. 7075 T6 and 4130 Steel have about the same Tensile strength, but the 7075 has a higher Yield Strength and is a 1/3 of the weight. It does however cost about 5x as much though.
  10. I have an area that Im looking to turn into a driveway/off-road parking at some point in the future. Currently it is overgrown with wild bushes and stinging nettles. Looking for a cheap and easy method to get rid of it all, without me hacking away at it hours , for it only to end up growing back. I was thinking of filling a couple of buckets with a bleach & water mix and dousing the area ? Will this kill of the overgrowth and stop it returning ? Any other suggestions ?
  11. Shit, sorry to hear. Hope you get it sorted, not a nice situation to be in.
  12. Thats the going price im afraid, plus they are available for free as online PDF's.
  13. Its got the rare factory red interior, although some idiot has colour-coded the pods, radio surround and steering wheel too. Its had its rear wiper removed and despoilered and nose panel has been debadged. Its also got unusual clear targa glass instead of the standard smoked version.
  14. They definatly used to, but they took them down and put a notice up saying they were revising them. But now even the notice is gone, so not sure whats happening there.
  15. :o Replied before seeing your later post about the 4x4. Jeesh, any chance it was on a stretch of road with camera's ? p.s TwinZ rear bumper would look fantastic on yours.
  16. Damn, sorry to hear Ian. Good job you had the CCTV footage. I'd be contacting the police anyway, criminal offence and you have the proof.
  17. I think SPL are currently redesigning their front camber arms. With SPL not available I would go Powertrix
  18. Yeah, all TT's after 94 have Electronic hicas instead of Hydraulic, so no hydraulic solenoid. Thats the Windscreen filler you can see in the picture. Expansion bottle is still on Passenger side.
  19. Very nice ! If I had the opportunity, a 2000 TT Slicktop would be my ideal choice, and it looks stunning in Artic white (I have a bit of a thing for Bright white cars lately).
  20. As far as Im aware, the PAS Belt is the same size for Uk TT and Jap TT. The Waterpump to Alternator belt is the different sized one, due to different size Water Pump pulley
