I disagree, sorry. I perfer plates with a clean black border and maybe the GB or similar logo. They look DIY when completely plain...imo.

Another Vote here for Fancyplates. For a UK car you just want standard UK sized plates, however myself and others (funkysi..etc) have fitted a 3/4 size front plate which looks a lot better and blocks less airflow without standing out too obvious to the police.
  3. Ztech http://www.ztech.co.uk will be your nearest specialist (between newbury and swindon). Hard to diagnose engine issue from your description. Sounds like possible missfire, which can be the result of many things, or a MAF issue. There are far too many Z's running around out there still on the original Shocks, Springs and bushes. UK can replace with stock or go aftermarket. - MJP for all Nissan OEM parts (see traders section of this forum) - Smithys-place.co.uk, DTA-Motorsport, Z1motorsports.com (u.s), Conceptzpeformance.com (u.s) for Aftermarket I think the rest of your questions were answered by Craig. Welcome to the Club
  4. The profile is dependent on width. Usually fronts tyres have a higher front profile number than the rears when running a wider rear, as the profile number is actually a percentage figure of the width. Let us know the full numbers for the front and back (eg. 225/45/17) and can let you know wether correct or not. Wheel make/model makes no difference.
  5. If you can get hold of a replacement CAS, I would try that. Also, have somebody wiggle the entire loom in different places while you are trying to start it. The electric auxillery fan is'nt coming on when you turn the ignition is it ? Pull out the Fuel pump fuse (in the small fuse box by the Brake booster, its the one closest to the engine, on the end). Then try starting it again a few times, just in case it is actually getting fuel but has flooded. Its difficult for others to diagnose a fault like this over the Internet, the trouble being that its hard to know if each test is being done correctly and that the correct results are being interpreted. I think your going to have to make arrangements with a Z specialist to look over the car. Try - Ztech, Zedworld, Jimmer, SWZ ...etc
  6. Wikipedia is wrong, thats about the slicktop weight. Its more like 1530-1540kg for the SWB Targa. Aircon pump weighs around 10kg. Not a clue how much the widearch kit and filler would weigh though.
  7. You can find them on Ebay and Zcentre also sell them. http://www.zcentre.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21_43_69&products_id=313 You can find them for half that price on ebay though, and you may find somebody has one lieing around if you put a thread up in wanted.
  8. I guess you need to speak to him about it. If you wanted to get them reading correcting then you need a KPH>MPH convertor. Nothing wrong with using these clocks if you get a converter. The problem with UK clocks on an NA is that they have a boost gauge which ofcourse means you end up with a gauge that does nothing.
  9. On mine I replaced the pipe with longer lengths from the metal hardpipes on the Radiator suppose to the new oil cooler. That was the size of the existing hose, and Im pretty sure they are the same all the way from the sump too. I just cant remember which size, easiest way will be to remove nose panel to see the metal lines, and pull of a hose and measure it.
  10. They are not UK Clocks ! They are Import KPH clocks that somebody has stuck a MPH sticker on. They are reading in KPH.
  11. I cant remember the exact size but its either : 0.8mm = 5/16" = -05AN 10mm = 3/8" = -06AN

wtf is bebo? I must be getting old :(
  13. was it a TT box (with TT speed sensor in it) that was fitted ?
  14. That looks absolutely nothing like Keira Knightley at all.
  15. Phone MJP, wont need part number, just describe it and he can get it.
  16. Do not remove the Headlights, this will not help you at all. The recircs are accessible under the nose panel, once you have removed the Filter, Maf and sometimes removing/moving other items may help for clearance such as Aux fan and Oil cooler(s).
  17. Those are your old clocks? Your new clocks are standard UK Clocks ? Do you have an NA or TT, has the gearbox been changed at some point in the past ?
  18. Fronts 6.25" (odd size, but you can fit regular 6.5" in) Rears 6x4
  19. I've had a tyre bounce of the car in front of me, hit my car, bounce onto car behind, then into another..and so on... was I at fault, should I feel ashamed ? no. She hit road debris in the motorway, she is as much a victim as everyone else who would have hit it or been hit by it after the original Lorry lost it. There is nothing to get the police involved about, unless you know the Lorry it came off. Its just one of those things :(
  20. Sorry Nick, It sucks but I dont really see how she is to blame. It was'nt like it came of her car.
  21. Ouch, Sorry to see Nick :( She hit a punctured truck tyre on the motorway and it bounced into yours ?
  22. Wait.......the fact that it specifies a single brake line - "rear n/s brake line", says to me that it is not the difficult to replace metal brake lines that from the length of the car and under the subframe, but instead it sounds like the metal hardline that comes of the caliper and joins the rubber line, which is simple and cheap to replace. Can you get clarification from MOT tester ? Also, "showing signs of corrosion" is not the same as "excessive corrosion".
  23. Its a 300zx, Porsche 944 and not sure about the other car http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=127097
