Jap part import sites.
Most Car parts suppliers in Japan do not deal with oversea's public and will just ignore emails. http://www.greenline.jp/ is one I know that does deal to the public overseas. I've bought a fair few bits of them in the past, but they take a few days to reply.

BMW 330ci 2001ish
It amazing what 5k gets you these days. Im a BMW fan, had a couple of 5 series and a 3 series. In general Bmw's do feel superior to other cars - quality feeling of all the controls that put you in touch with the road - everything from the floorhinged throttle to the perfectly weighted steering. Bmw's dont have have a cockeyed seating position. A lot of the smaller french cars do though.

FOR sale sign in car window
I believe people often dont put the price becuase its illegal. Its ok to put a for sale sign on a car, but if you put a price then it becomes trading in public without a license and can land you in trouble. (a bit like selling items out of a suitcase on a streetcorner without a trade license to do so) Something like that anyway, its what I was told many years ago but never looked into it myself.

Big Brother to be dropped
I thought that was what BB was for, a bit of voyeur waiting for them to get naked. Lots of nudity in the early series, which had got less and less and now non-existent.....just like the rating figures...coincidence? hmmm LOL

How much did you buy your zed for????
My Jspec 92 TT Manual was £4500 My Jspec 91 NA Manual was £1200 accident damaged Cat C write off , OTR price was about £1800 My Jspec 89 NA Auto was £800 but needed a new autobox, OTR price was £1000 (did the work myself) My Slicktop was £1500 - but was a bare rolling shell so probably considered a bit steep by most people , and has cost me 3x that so far completely rebuilding and restoring it back onto the road.

The best value 6x9 speekers for front doors
This is usually what i see when people fit 6x9's And they get knocked by people feet when they get in and out. but even if you can hide them between the door panels, they still dont offer as good sounds as components do.
-
how much should i offer?
You can get 325i and even 328i for similar money or less though
-
how much should i offer?
1k ? He'll go for 1200, you counter at 1100, he accepts or you agree at 1150.

The best value 6x9 speekers for front doors
6x9's look far from stock, they stick out a long way out of the doorcard. Tweeters look pretty good IMO if you fit them correctly - Flushmounted inside the door card. eg -
-
The best value 6x9 speekers for front doors
I would reccomend forgetting about 6x9's and fit a set of 6.5" components instead with tweeters at the top of the doorcard. Better sound and easier to fit. Then you just need a sub in the boot to fill in the bass.

Jacking...
you can jack on the centre of the diff, which its not very stable but you can then place axle sands under the subframe mounts in front of the rear wheels.

Mclarren F1 - cost to build?
Its an impossible question. How far back do you go to estimate costs - - Retail price of each part ? (eg. cost to purchase a Aluminum waterpump pulley from Mclaren as a customer) - The cost Mclaren paid for a part from a manufacturing company ? (eg. the cost Mclaren paid for a waterpump pulley) - how much manufacturer company spent in raw materials ? (eg. the cost of a block of aluminum) - the cost in raw materials for a company to produce the final product material ? (eg. the cost of Bauxite, sodium hydroxide, Cryolite and carbon to produce Aluminum) Bearing in mind that while mclaren will have manufactured some parts in-house, something lke 90% of parts would of been manufactured by external companies. Every step there is more and more research and development labour along the way that is included in the price of the next step. A $1 part in raw materials, could end up at as a $10,000 part as a final product. I think I may be taking the question to seriously  :slap:

Electric fan
The Aux fan switches on at 95c if you have the Aircon on, or at 105c if you have the aircon off. Its only really an emergency backup - Basically if its on, then you have serious problems.

Newbie hi!!!
Differences between UK and JDM are minor, mostly trim/option differences. Insurances differences only really seem to be an affect for very young drivers. As you get older the difference is neglidgable if anything. UK models should'nt command a higher price, its the JDM-only models like the SWB, Slicktop and Convertible that command the highest prices. If your after a 2+2/LWB TT (most common version) then you have the option of UK or JDM. If insurance is'nt an issue then I would'nt deliberatly look for a UK or JDM car, but go purely on condition and other details. If however your after any other version then its JDM only. JDM versions came in 2+2(LWB) , 2+0(SWB), TT and NA. The rarer SWB also came in even rarer Slicktop(Lighter, more rigid chassis) and Convertible(summer cruising) roof options. 2+2(LWB) = Longer wheel base with a rear seat. 2+0(SWB) = Shorter wheel base, 2 seater. Smoke and Rust are probably the most important points to be looking out for. Check for corrosion around the sills, in front of the rear wheels. UK models are most prone to this, suffering quite badly with age unfortunatly. Although JDM models are not immune it. Those that have been in the country for many years are just as prone, but typically a JDM looks like new underneath in comparison.
