  1. Take it you mean in your front fogs, if so yes providing they actually are H3 and you get a pair of ballasts to run them, plus you'll need to adapt the fog housing a tad.
  2. What we looking at here.....red arrows ??
  3. Yes those look H3 and the type you need, I'd keep those as spare if I was you and/or test them with the ballasts in the kit I am sending. Got your email so I'll send you a money request and I've sent you an email message. This is my 'stock'.
  4. You need to drill out the insides of the switch, just the plastic parts and make what will resemble caves !!!! You then put a small led strip either side to shine light into these new holes or cavities. It will then probably be a bit big to go back in the center console so you'll need to shave off a few mm. It'll look something like this
  5. If Rich finally puts up is details and a mod sees it, please pm me them please and delete his details. I have his HID kit all tested and packed ready to go :glare:.
  6. Oooooh Borussia Monchengladbach my favourite German team :thumbup1:. Mirror switch is not illuminated but there are a few guys on here that will modify it and hence it will then light up....works quite well actually.
  7. Text messages ? If so drop me a pm with his number please :thumbup1:.
  8. How about as a reg user you put up your mobile number and/or your paypal and I'll contact you from there, best to do it when we are both online.
  9. I always thought the red was down to fading........be very surprised if the one you order will be anything but black. Wouldn't the red variant if it does exist that is, have a separate part number ?
  10. One set put aside for you.....don't get your knickers in a twist .
  11. I have 2 sets as it happens so it'll clean me out Joel !!!!
  12. Brand new, I will fully test before dispatch. Slim ballasts in the crisp white colour, I buy them from the far east so therefore I always a few sets knocking about, mainly for my own use or anybody that requires them in a hurry as I am always willing to sell.
  13. Think that's your problem right there........you need to check them 100% then move on from there .
  14. Hope she doesn't sign in on the qt and read that !!!! He never changes........doesn't know which way to swing .
  15. H3 bulbs for the fogs are the ones that come with the short cable to a male spade. You will be better going hid for the dipped and for this you need H3, 35W or 55W and colour range between 4300k and 6000k, so yes a kit for £20.00 is good from the far east but you'll have to wait 3 weeks perhaps. I could sell you one for £25.00 delivered and you'll have it this week, 55w, 5000k and of course H3.
  16. I didn't miss your post chum, I do like to copy you though and I'll have mine looking like that very soon :tongue_smilie:.
  17. Just took mine off the car and stripped everything off them as they need a refurb, there are lots of scuffs and some dents so going to get them sorted and then chrome plated :thumbup1:. What's interesting on this next pic is that the logo on the right is the one that Smithy used to use on his Altia copies but the one on the left is the original one, these are a bit bashed up and have a sort of mirror incorporated in them so the illumination is more subtle....I am torn between keeping them original and tidying up the plastic logo if that's possible or using the mint others, if I choose the latter I will have to slightly cut out the opening to accommodate them, I'll get them refurbished and then have another think .
  18. Blimey Si a kindred spirit for ya .
  19. There is a lot of love on this thread for Mr Dent  they do say the way to a mans heart is through is Z, Lee bud be careful in your unit when you bend over to pick up your ratchet .
  20. Fit PowerTrix fuse box cover, bonnet doesn't close with it on though, it's cos the cover is completely flat and doesn't have that step down, will find a solution another day...........perhaps grind out a hole in the bonnet but then I'll have to do the same on the other side to match :tongue_smilie:.
  21. Sweet them.......very nice indeed .
  22. Fit my mirror finish PowerTrix throttle cable cover today, keep adding bits here and there - more to come :cool3:.
  23. Having done this modification about 18 months ago when only to hand amongst my spares was passenger side quadrants and having now bought the aluminium quadrants I set about fitting them. The problem with this fix above is that once the metal stop is removed the key can travel too far both left and right, this is not a problem as you can just flick it either side to lock/unlock which I have been doing. But I wanted it perfect and briefly thought today that the removal of this 'stop' had come back to bite me on the bum, look at this pic below where the one on the left as this piece of metal removed. Looking more closely at the barrel I took the spring off the end which returns the key to vertical position and then the key slot cap was teased off as it's crimped in a couple of places - you can see this crimp in the above pic, after these are removed the cylinder itself slides out and I could swap over the barrel housing, crucially to one with a metal stop. I then had a problem as the key would not turn in the 'new' or different housing which puzzled me for a while but it turns out I just needed to take a fraction off the pins that lift once the key is removed, key in and the pins retract in ie making it flush. The pic below is not the best but you can see how shiny I have the part on the left having run it on my wire wheel, what happens now is what you want, with the key in the cylinder, the housing on the right spins with ease especially with some grease/oil. Just replace the spring and crimp back down the metal cap and job done, I have my aluminium quadrants now fitted and the travel with the key is again as intended.
  24. Looking good Ian.....sure you'll be bobbing over to show me in the flesh real soon :thumbup1:.
