I got to thinking i had a fuel issue plus others as it would start perfect and instantly from cold but if i switched off it wouldn't fire, cranking wasn't a problem but i did notice my battery would soon start getting weary. Turned out my battery was actually on it's way out, replaced it with a 690cca battery and this problem disappeared, it now cranks lively and never fails to start. I also had intermittant lumpy running - this was a split pipe coming off the plenum.

That's exactly what happens at my station, i even sit in the vehicle i take them sometimes pressing pedals, switching lights on, etc if his wingman is detained elsewhere - saves sitting on my backside on the rickety chair (Young Ones reference btw if you didn't know). I have read you have an import but you must have UK headlights if the H3's are fitting in the dipped ?

You state you've tried 2 x new bulbs but you haven't seen these actually work. Suggest you transfer the known working 100% offside bulb into the nearside unit, also have a look for any butchering work hidden under insulation tape. Three wires go to the front fogs, one is ground which the two bulbs share, one is the live for the H3 fog bulb and the other is the live for the little 501 sidelight bulb.

I like yellow it's illegal !! I've not looked but 5630 smd Graham is what i have for the winkers, 5050 is probably just enough brightness fit for the rear tail lights :biggrin:.

I got one of these about 18 months ago for fun, don't think it was anywhere near a tenner though, the battery soon died and i just left it. You can set it to light up every 15 mins or whatever - think there's a clue there why the battery in mine died quick !!

They are just flexible universal 'soft' ones bought on ebay from the far east, this therefore helps them bend into the mirror housing. I dont have or know even if you can buy amber/orange smd strips - the 5m reel of yellow i bought i love and hence Joel why have had to do all four indicators each side the same as it looked daft in two colours.

I've been thinking the yellow indicators in the tails are too bright but is that cos i keep staring at them from a few meters away !! Therefore, car is in my garage for the minute as i want the option of dimming them if need be. I will do the vid over the weekend for sure chum, i want to tootle up and around a quiet industrial estate or dogging areas you personally might know them better as Brian - worth waiting for don't worry yourself too much, haha :wink:.

I haven't forgotten about this, ie a video, just that i noticed an issue with my illuminated reverse light panel a while back - now perfectly fixed, and then i re did my number plate 'SLICKTOP' illumination with a different clear lens as the first one was looking a bit tatty from a few years back, then today i put a red 5630 smd strip (previously it was a colour changing RGB type strip) in to light up the number plate a bit brighter. The SLICKTOP colour can be changed remotely and for those that don't know this is always the same colour/function as the reverse light panel 300ZX as both are using the RGB type smd illumination. Wife did see me put on the tail lights and then said blimey the indicators are bright - is that legal she muttered - honestly love i don't know but they're staying !! So anyway just need to do the video now.....cheeky pic :clap:

You just need one Noz map, an electronic boost controller will have switchable hi/lo settings :cool3:.

You will need a clutch and larger rad.

I am having trouble with what you've put here Rich ? I don't have anything other than H3 HID kits so you have not been sent wrong, to just clarify you have H3, 55W and 5000k so you should have a wonderful dipped projector beam. You do seem however to have sorted your mains out so at least we've moved on there !!

Think your problem is right there......those hid bulbs are not H3 ?

Mirrors almost all re done and you can see below how yellow these are, i don't mind the circuitry being seen but my last lenses did go milky so expect these will go similar in time although i did see where water 'got in' so this time this as been eliminated. Practically built 2 x strips and mounted together side by side which as ended in 13 led's being visible which is what i had before.

They do look really nice Lee as i have pulled the car out of the garage and been able to stand back and look at them, they look incredibly modern but still don't look out of place at all. Trouble is....if you can call it that, the bright crisp yellow i have now in the rear lights and the newly done led wing indicators doesn't or didn't match the front corner and door mirror signal colour which was amber/orange !!!! So before i video these will be changed to all match perfectly, the fronts are done and the door mirrors are now on the bench and these will have something a little different put into them :yes:.

Totally correct Noel bud, i didn't have the ball bearing oil line restrictors fitted so at this moment in time i am thinking the smoke issue was this. I am going forged in the new year and the turbos will be examined, not saying the seals or bearings are shot but they will be replaced as a matter of course, it could be however that this is not necessary.

Usually what happens is i get sent the pieces you want doing when you're ready. If you want the headlights working on you will need to buy some 99 spec inserts. I cannot pm you - you're a reg user !

Mmmmmmm.....and nothing to do with Xmas - although it'd be topical !! Pulled the car fully into the garage and got these fitted and i couldn't be happier with fit, flushness, brightness, performance, looks, etc. Weather dependent i should get a video within 48 hours, cheeky pic - best i can get as i only have about 20 inch to work in and as a consequence there are shadows.

I have genuine 99 tails which a few years ago i did led up but i had one single failure out of the 12 strips i crammed in so i ripped them out and learnt from it, ever since i just used stock filament bulbs in them which i will keep as a spare set. Not going to reveal just yet what these do until i get fitted and can show in a video but these were made from a stock 89 tango pair involving a tremendous amount of work but i'm very happy with how they've turned out. I have made fully clear lens tails before but never for myself and certainly not with led's and/or the unique selling point :thumbup:.

Eeeek this thread is as old as the film i'm mentioning - 2006 with Matthew Broderick - Deck The Halls :thumbup1:. I spotted it last year in real time and thought when it's on again this Xmas i'll record it and double check, yep sure enough it's still parked same place - hasn't moved !!
