Yes I know they are like yours and I know what you mean with the backup lights but I have got plenty of leds in there and in the main on other projects they have been very reliable, worst comes to the worst the OEM bulbs can be put back in. If a LED pcb is used you can still have failure, at least with these it can cheaply and easily be rectified :yes:.

I cannot convert as yet for the odd few as I need to get supplies in to do the work, I do have all required on order. Suggest you keep your eye on the item listed, maybe a contact through ebay once it ends and we take things from there. That wouldn't work as you will need to order the necessary strip lights from the far east and they'd take that time frame to arrive at least with Xmas a looming as well.

I've had it mind to do my 99 spec copies with full led's for sometime now, finally got all the strip lights I needed to complete the job and yes I am very pleased, might even open up my genuine 99's and led them up :yes:. In this vid you will notice at 1:50 in, I have incorporated a fog light and about half way through I have them on in darkness :thumbup1:. A little later tonight these will be on a well know auction site and seeing as I am pleased with how these have turned out I have ordered more of the lights required to convert more, at the moment then this is the only pair in the whole universe :biggrin:. I'm yet to see any better or brighter bulbs than the filament ones the tail lights were designed for as the OEM lights have a square diffuser for each bulb in the lenses, you can get stop/tail smd red bulbs and yes you are correct this is what you need for the top 'red' chamber.

In your pic and looking at the 7 pin car plug the yellow/blue and blue/white which are together at one end are the heated two wires, so if you ever bought a heated glass run two wires from these to it. Looking at yours and my pics it looks to me like orange goes to green/black I cannot make out the colours as they all look blueish on the car plug but adjacent to the green/black wire this is where you connect the blue wire from mirror, then one down is the yellow and down again is the purple. pink to green/red Write down and post what goes where as I am sure others will need it :thumbup1: EDIT - I'd get a tiny screwdriver and slide out the pins, rather than sever the lot and then solder.

What do you need to know what wires goes where for, just stick it in as the colour of the wires doesn't matter :thumbup1:. Sure the multi plugs are the same on all, just that the JDM's have more wires as you correctly state :yes:. All sorted now but when I got the car my import wiring to the door had all the 7 wires there of course but someone had replaced wrongly with a 5 pin multi plug mirror, so would fold in and adjust but would not heat up.
