  1. He's the exception that proves the rule ;)
  2. Real men drive manuals :x:
  3. Have you tried gargling a crushed up cocodamol/water solution?
  4. That'll be "Mind Your Language". http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Gbkny3G9A4w
  5. When did Spain become an island? ;) What bike you got, mate?
  6. Great review! Thanks for making the effort :)
  7. The songs are great but the man grates.
  8. Few people I meet remember http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_Kwackers or "Bailey's Bird" (which had an excellent theme tune) or "The Groovy Ghoulies".
  9. I used to get them a lot with a foil shaver. They've pretty much stopped since I switched to a rotary Phillishave.
  10. It's normal until you get used to the fact that it's just a different kind of user interface and stop believing that you can actually do things in-game more powerfully by exerting more physical effort (it's a remarkably good conceit for creating suspension of disbelief, though). It's possible to be very effective with small, quick movements while lounging in an armchair.
  11. I'm a Ni-Dan (2nd Dan) in Aikido, brown belt in Shukokai karate and Siu Nim Tao in Wing Chun (Yip Man). My dad is 6th Dan in Aikido and he started me off when I was just 9. Wing Chun is my favourite - Chi Sao is addictive!
  12. Dragostea Din Tei loses a lot in the translation! Nu ma, nu ma.
  13. Yep, but there isn't a game yet like the one you want.
  14. Holy fookin' shite! That's genius! That's the best thing since the Wii. As for games, Mario Galaxy is, quite simply, the best 3d platformer ever made (even better than Mario 64). Guitar Hero III is great fun if you have any musical talent. Metroid3 is great. Mario Kart will be fantastic (whenever it comes out) - guaranteed. Wii Fit is on the horizon and actually looks like a viable alternative to going to the gym. Red Steel isn't bad at all for a 1st person shooter/slasher. Wario Ware is great fun as a novelty game. And, of course, Zelda rules all (as always).
  15. There's something like a "living will" where you can bequeath money to people and providing you don't die in the next 7 years after that moment, they don't pay any tax on it.
  16. I had a pair in 1989 from the original company in Newquay, literally about 300 yards from my old house, who made them as apres-surf wear. The originals were designed as shoes, not slippers. My pair lasted for 4 years of almost daily wear and were the comfiest shoes I've ever had. I just wish I could still get them at 'local' prices. But, yeah, unless you can actually surf they are quite chavvy.
  17. Golden syrup for me. And remember, yorkshire puddings are the same batter mix but in a different form, so next time you do a roast save some for pudding.
  18. Would Gruntpa64 do it barefoot?
  19. 340mph bike anyone? http://cars.uk.msn.com/Motorbikes/Bikes.aspx?cp-documentid=7329526&refcd=C39&pkw=FA1

  21. Nah, they'd just have to wait until I was ready.
  22. "Seal of Approval" awarder for Nintendo, for games that are at the end of development. They'd have to get my blessing before they could be released.
  23. Not long after I passed my test: -Escort MkII 1.1. 70 degree right hand bend. Rain. Very wet road. Nothing coming. I decided to pull into the right hand lane and floored it while going round. Back end went to the left and I consider myself very lucky to have caught it, waggling the back end as I straightened out. -Same car. New bypass being built. 3ft high "ramp" of earth on the dirt track road. Hit it at 70mph, launched, then grounded out when I landed. The car didn't survive long after that. Most amusing: Going down a Cornish back road past a farm in a 1.3 Talbot Horizon. A chicken was walking down the side of the road, so I slowed right down. After a while I'd almost caught up with it and decided the chicken was safe, so I floored it - at which point it ran out in front of me. The number plate cut it's head off cleanly, big shower of feathers and I saw it running around in the rear view mirror. I didn't stop.
