Off to Newquay for the weekend
I used to live in Newquay. Sailors Arms (and nightclub), in Fore Street, is by far the best, followed by Berties, then Tall Trees (or Icon51 or Lucifers or whatever they're calling it this year ;) ) If you see an older doorman who looks a bit like Magnum P.I. say hello from me - he was my Sensei. If you see a 65 year old doorman, that's my dad - don't be fooled, he's harder than nails (8th Dan Aikido). Have fun wherever you go.

Bike/Arm (Nightmare)
One small thing to note with an interest free creidt card is that there is usually a transfer fee ot 2-3% of the balance that you have to pay to move your money. Some cards don't do this fee but the 0% period is much shorter. Virgin are doing 15 months 0% at the mo'!

Too-wide screen cured!!
Sorry Dave, it does affect Firefox (on my PC anyway, using ver 2.0.0.5) I noticed it went away when I got a new widescreen monitor though. Must be an aspect ratio vs. resolution related thing.

if you've got some spare change then....
I thought Clarkson said they each cost £5 million to make. Definitely a good investment if you have the spare cash, rarely drive it and keep it in a bubble.

Scrambled egg.
Get on the shopping channel and get her one of those 'revolutionary' teflon pans they advertise. I bought a set - they really are as good as they pitch them.

prison break the series
I love Prison Break too, but surely the best show ever to come out of the US has to be Frasier?

Silly things you believed when you were a kid?
For some reason, for years I believed that Triumph TR7s blew up when they got to 127mph. Something my cousin said that I took at face value lol. Anyone else got any strange things they used to believe?

Totally agree. With figures like those quoted is it any wonder the Z market is a low-priced as it is?

PC Tech Question - Hard drives
Don't go with Vista - there are still too many problems. Just the other day I heard about someone plugging in a USB microphone and the PC hung - and wouldn't re-boot at all until the mic was physically removed!
