  1. I'd add boots with hard toes and decent ankle protection to the list of minimum must haves. You can't really go wrong with an Arai/Shoei/AGV lid as long as it fits properly - stick to the full face, non-front-opening type - and replace it after 4 years even if it's still in pristine condition. Helmets have a shelf life.
  2. Thanks for the link :) I have seen my doctor and he says that although it's not pleasant, there's nothing much that can be done. I'm actually thinking about giving up archery now 'cos I haven't shot for most of this summer (because of all the rain) and the intercostal cramp has disappeared - they seem to be directly related in my case :(
  3. I've suffered with cramp all of my adult life, so I sympathise. As for what's caused it, take your pick: too much salt in your diet, not enough salt, low electrolytes in your bllod, too much lactic acid/too much pyruvic acid in your muscles after they've been worked, sleeping in the same position for a long time etc etc. During a cramp attack, I find the best thing to do is to try and fight against it and stretch the opposite (antagonist) muscle. In your case, if the calf cramp was trying to bend your foot downwards, then you need to try and force your foot upwards as much as possible (and vice versa) - get angry against it! Usually, you reach a point where the pain magically stops. Vigorous massage of the affected area often helps too. Gentle stretches afterwards tends to help too (in the same direction that you fought). But, yeah, it's a bitch. And if anyone knows the antagonist set of muscles for the intercostals, PLEASE tell me - I get cramp there all the time (after doing archery).
  4. >>A Lie can be symetrical, but how long is it. Doesn't it depend on the invariance and conserved quantities of the nonconservative nonholonomic systems and the introductoin of the infinitesimal transformations in phase space? Or, twice as long as half its length.
  5. Didn't need to, mate LOL I joined Mensa when I was 17 - I've known the answers since then.

  7. If it helps, I've got 235/40s on a 7.5J rim.
  8. I know, it's an F50 before anyone points it out. That's what I meant - the picture was labeled wrongly.
  9. I've always fancied these too:
  10. I forgot this:
  11. Nope. It's a kit car - a Nova Stirling. As used in the '80's film "Condorman" starring Michael Crawford.
  12. Here's my faves:
  13. Well done, Si. If you do move to Cov, give me a shout and I'll tell you good places to live.
  14. Potato scallops (from the chippy) seem to be a rarity in the south west.
  15. Ahem..... STOP the pigeon ;) http://www.hotink.com/wacky/wrstuff/pigeon.wav
  16. How many of you guys remember any of these? Most people I know don't :( Voltron, Bravestar, Lucky Luke, Groovy Ghoulies, Pole Position, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors
  17. Exactly. Unless you're gonna keep a 125 for daily commuting or for track racing, you might as well buy cheap since it'll just be a stepping stone to bigger and better bikes (if you want). I've heard half-decent things about them for the money. I just got a good deal on a Suzi 125 Marauder (new) - you pays your money, you takes your choice. If I had been on a tighter budget I reckon I'd have got a chinese bike meself. Anybody wanna buy a Z? http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=98029 I'm gonna be needing to get a Bandit 650 soon
  18. I agree with you on the JD vs. Jim Beam, but it's not really a fair comparison 'cos JD isn't bourbon, whereas Jim Beam is (so is Wild Turkey).
  19. Is she.... mental? ;) Seriously, good luck to her!
  20. I'm looking to sell/px a bit quicker than that unfortunately. Spongey, thanks for doing the link :)
  21. I might be interested in a p/x. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=4499 Got any more details on your Supra?
