1. Happy Birthday, Neil! :)
2. That wheel turning malarkey can't be good for tyre lifespan.
3. http://www.unbiased.co.uk
4. Pretty much like Groover's pic.
5. I've got some Alpine component speakers in the sloping part of the door card, just under the window, near where the door joins the dash housing. Greg did a great job of fitting them for me. Measure up, take the card off (mind you don't break the clips), use a hole saw on a drill, connect the wires, seat the tweeters, and Bob is your mother's brother.
6. See my rides for more pics: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=209
7. Not bad. I'd rather have this guy's skills, though:
8. Through the Fire and the Flames http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0jgrCKhxE1s I can just about manage this on Hard mode on Wii Guitar Hero. This guy is awesome: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=hb5QaCfm7bg Michael Angelo Batio from Nitro.
9. It can be a hyphen or a dash. A hyphen can either split a word at the end of a line to make it carry on to the follow- ing line, or can separate words such as double-barrelled names, or can tie two words together so they make better sense (eg. double-barrelled, two-thirds, twenty-five). http://www.grammarmudge.cityslide.com/articles/article/426348/2805.htm A dash can be used - as I'm using it here now - to add extra information into a sentence. Typically, you see the main part of the sentence first with an extra bit at the end - just like this. There are also em-dashes and en-dashes (especially in Microsoft Word): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dashhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dash It can also separate ranges and a whole host of other stuff.
10. What, the love of our lord and saviour the little baby Jesus? Not for me, thx. My sister is one of the arm waving lot in the first vid. I had to go and see her graduate from bible college - I thought I'd been transported to Waco! It was a horrible and strange feeling to see so many of them in the flesh in the same place.
11. I had a professional furniture restorer clean my leather LaZboy chairs. He'd been in the business for over 30 years and reckoned the best thing ever for leather is paraffin. He wiped it on, rubbed it in firmly, left it for a few minutes then cleaned it off with soapy water (must be soap as in a bar of soap, not just hand wash cleaners - he didn't say why). He said the paraffin feeds the leather better than any other chemical. I can't argue with the results - the chairs came up lovely.
12. Mk2 Ford Escort 1100cc inherited from my grandma. Lent it to a mate who went and wrote it off for me. Replaced with a 1.6 Talbot Horizon.
13. Ross getting an O.B.E. was an insult to everyone else who has ever received one, imo. Can't stand the tosser.
14. I got my school to invigilate a Mensa test for me when I was in 6th form. I got 181. However, as scotty says above, it's not a true representation. It's perfectly possible to be less intelligent than your IQ makes you out to be by practising a lot of Mensa type questions before you take the test. I haven't done any for years and would be expect to score only 140-150 these days.
15. That's because I was showing how the HTML tabs work. If I'd taken the spaces out of [ quote ] any text between that and [ /quote ] would have been in a box so you wouldn't have seen how to do it. Try copying what I typed and remove the spaces between quote and the square brackets and you'll see what I mean when you press Submit Reply or Preview Post.
16. A simple way is to put [ quote ] at the start of the text you want to quote and [ \quote ] at the end. But you leave out the spaces between quote and the brackets - I just did it like that above to demonstrate otherwise I would have quoted "at the start of the text you want to quote and".
17. Seems cheap - I thought Clarkson said over 100k new?
18. Happy birthday bud :)
19. I've never met anyone else who remembers this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C0YsZsnQ6w or "Bailey's Bird" (which has a great theme tune but I can't find it anywhere).
20. IIRC, it was originally done to help farmers. With modern lighting, though, there's really no need for it these days and I wish they'd just stick with BST.
