  1. I proposed in the car park of the Little Chef at Chiverton Cross service station on the A30.
  2. You know, I was just thinking I'd been remiss in ruling her out 'cos she's old now. You are absolutely bloody spot on, mate.
  3. Watch the videos from the top down  http://www.autoswitch.com/2006/models/as5pg2/as5pg2_index.shtml
  4. That's not geeky - it's got the numbers on it!
  5. All my main trainers for the last 25 years or so have been Nike Air. Just last week I bought a pair of these: My all-time favourites, though, are a pair of Adidas Lendl Court Pro that I had when I was 14. I loved that range of clothing they had at that time, with the blue diamonds. Adidas Trim Trab II (green and purple) were a second close. Ah, nostalgia! And, one of my pet hates when people get it wrong, Adidas should be pronounced "Ad-dee-dass" not "Adee-dus". The guy's name was (Adolf) Adi Dassler, fer cryin' out loud.
  6. Good work, but something about the shape reminds me of an Austin Princess.
  7. Sorry to hear your news. Don't scratch your spots whatever you do - they can leave horrible scars if you do. I was 22 when I had chickenpox - it ain't nice at any age, but it's worse the older you are.
  8. 6th form common room. Pool table. I bent over to take my shot and did a really loud fart. Everyone in the room, 40ish people, got up and left the room, making comments on the way out. Another time, some friends and I had permission to take our work computers home. We went back a couple of hours after work to collect them (we had our own keys). Unfortunately, the doofus who turned the alarm off didn't get it right and set off the silent alarm. When we exited the building, with arms full of computers, there were four armed police waiting for us, wanting an explanation.
  9. That's why it went to the scrapper LOL
  10. I wish I still had my Lancia Beta twin carb coupe. http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.bespokeselection.co.uk/images/EWW392T3332.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.bespokeselection.co.uk/LanciaBetaCoupe2000FL1Red.htm&usg=__yscBc01TqJ6dhM9QjjnhX2KgfAY=&h=360&w=480&sz=46&hl=en&start=9&um=1&tbnid=dKu29kdxHRKZPM:&tbnh=97&tbnw=129&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dlancia%2Bbeta%2Bcoupe%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26rlz%3D1C1GGLS_en-GBGB291GB303%26sa%3DG%26um%3D1
  11. Looks more like a parasitic wasp to me.I was stung by one of the fookers once and it really hurt.
  12. Yep, it's very good. I wonder why they changed the ghost girl from the pilot, though.
  13. Well worth finding it :)
  14. It starts with a plane crash on a desert island. Then a polar bear comes out of the jungle and the intrigue starts..... BTW, if you like Lost, you'll probably like "John from Cincinatti" which is even more intriguing and weird (but very, very good).
  15. http://www.motrax.co.uk/index.php?mod=new_developments
  16. To play Mr Logic for a moment: Flawed and smart-ass argument by the cardiologist there. When difficult work on hearts is done, the patient is put on bypass (effectively turning off the engine). There is some work for both that could still be done with the engine running. I would've thought "I spent 7 years getting a doctorate and then another 3 learning heart surgery, and the consequences of getting things wrong are much worse for me" would've been a better argument (if less amusing).
  17. Stop with the spoilers already!!!!
  18. Old and not true http://www.snopes.com/crime/clever/cigarson.asp
  19. Quilted flooring? :hurl:
  20. See an independent financial advisor (or two) before you make any decisions about anything. Most will do home visits at your convenience. Mine has saved me loads.
  21. Hardly an explanation, though. What is the Dharma Initiative's purpose? What's the black smoke monster thing? Polar bear? What was ripping up the trees? Jacob, the shack and Jack's dead father? Why did the others need "the child"? What was the pressing-the-button-every-so-many-minutes thing about? Is Ben uber bad or uber good? What's Charles Widmore up to? What's so special about the island? Why didn't Hurley lose any weight? If they ends up not explaining most of these things I'm going to be disappointed and feel like I've spent a lot of time watching for nothing.
  22. I've watched all the episodes shown on Sky in the UK. It better bloody well have the biggest pay off in history! There's a lot to explain.
