Zed front & rear seats
So I've sent my seats down to Mondo for a full retrim and there is a fair chance that by the time my zed is road worthy and ready for its mot and tax they wont be ready. So what i'm looking for is anyone north of the border whom I could borrow or get a set of seats to get me through the mot. I stay in troon so willing to travel a few miles to collect. Wont need them for at least another month so this is just putting out a feeler to see whats out there. Cheers

you have the paid version of conzult http://www.conzult.com/ or you can use datascan http://www.nissandatascan.com/ There is also some stand alone testers available on ebay but I've no personal experience on those.

next job was fitting everything back together which was a wee bit of a struggle for me to get everything aligned and looking proper but I got there in the end. Sealed everything up with a special primer and epoxy made for windscreens which was a bit messy. Only thing I regret is that the epoxy can be seen from inside against the white plastic which I wish now I had painted black for a better finish. Altogether for my first headlight rebuild this was good for me.

So my new halo's arrived at work today and I'm mightily impressed by them. They took about three weeks to arrive but when powered up they give of an intensive bright white light. Used hot glue to fix them in place then powered them up and got the wow factor. They are not a perfect fit so they are balanced on the back then glued together but that is mainly because the inserts themselves aren't perfectly circular which is a shame as the they would be a perfect size.

Its got a hefty bolt in the center which I presumed was the earth, I might hook it directly to a battery to test before I put the front bumper back on.

While I was doing my build I decided to polish my balance bar and started to get it stripped but I have since changed my mind after I test fitted it along with some other purple parts and now i'm going to have to get it sanded down and resprayed again as I actually like it purple matching the rest of the car.

Another few hours done today in the sun and managed to get a couple of more things ticked off the list. Firstly the radiator expander tank which I nearly forgot about and found in a box. Then found the filler spout for the main washer so attached that too : While I was doing that the wife kindly bolted up the pas pot And finally hooked up the dump valves which i'm sure Si would approve of, lol

Elbow grease it will be and a little patience in doing it each time.

To be honest I broke this a few years ago and had a temporary fix by joining the cables but it was with a screw clamp and I never liked the join and it didn't look too professional and I could never find the same gauge of wire. Not even sure what the proper gauge is but what you suggest could be the fix if I can get some proper sized cable.

problems with horns, got two of these horns and I can't mind if the second terminal on them has to hook to ground or not. Anyone seen these before ? They also seem to be at two different frequencies so I'm wondering now what they sound like together. Got them both of my last breaker and were better looking that the oem model.

You can also see from the pic above I have a buggered battery loom as the end snapped off and its now too short. So if anyone feels like donating a loom to me or an easy way to fix this let me know. lastly anyone help identify this plug on the loom ? There is one either side of the plenum and my old loom never had them.

Got a fair few hours done today at the garage. Managed to fit all my new polished bolts for the coil packs and plenum : Fitted my new wiring harness bought from wiring specialties : Also test fitted my new z1 polished hard pipes, although I now have an issue as z1 sent me incorrect clamps for them and it will cost too much to send it back and I bought them nearly a year ago.

Freshly Polished Balance Bar
Got this polished for my zed but just discovered it was off an auto rather than a manual so hence the sale. Its still at the polishers so can be posted direct to you from there. Should be finished in a about a day or so. Cost me £30 for polishing and £10 for the bar originally so just looking to cover my original costs. Pic below as currently been worked on but will be completely polished in a day or so.

Airbag Steering wheel
Explains that then; I changed my clocks to a Nismo set and there is no airbag bulb.
-
Rear lower arms
Got the driftworks ones myself and swear by them, and japspeed are likely just as good and likely cheaper. I would stay away from cheap ebay renditions for your own safety.

Airbag Steering wheel
I removed mine 4 years ago and past every year since. I have an aftermarket momo fitted.
-
Airbag Steering wheel
no, I didn't but now I think about it you likely should disconnect the main battery to avoid any accidental static or discharges.

Airbag Steering wheel
Not sure about doing it safely but I just unplugged mine then removed the cartridge.
