1. Managed to get my old engine from the breaker at the weekend and get it eventually into the hut along with my old gearbox.
2. Just checked your account and all looks ok, ive reset a few things to default but if that hasn't worked could you try clearing the cache on your browser. Also can you check to see if it happens on other browsers too. Lee
3. JaiKai posted a topic in For Sale - Parts
Looking for a replacement dashboard that's in the best condition possible. The one I have in my new zed is badly cracked at the stereo cage area and also under the steering column. Has to be cracked free and absolutely no peeling in it.
4. I had the driftworks kit on my zed and it was fine.
5. That's all folks. Said my goodbyes to purple rain today, and as usual it was pissing down as she was towed away.
6. I've heard of them but never seen one personally. Apart from the bad spelling on the box I think you can tell by the bad stickers used for likes of the serial numbers and manufacturer label on the sender unit. I'm fairly sure the one I have is genuine (touch wood) and the labels are a higher grade and the manufacturer label on the sender is made out of metal which also looks genuine.
7. Also spy the engine and gearbox that was from the old zed sitting on the trailer. Plan at some point tomorrow to get the hauled off and on the stand to fully inspect.
8. Then onto the fuel :) When purple rain was written off it was 5 miles away from where I filled the tank so I wasn't for leaving any of that fuel. Tried to syphon out the fuel via the filler hose but that didn't work so I dropped the tank and stuck a hose in the top. 30 litres later I managed to get about 1/2 of what was there. So I went home and reversed the process back into the new zed
9. Few more bits taken off the old zed today one of which was my blue front glass. kit cost me £40 and roughly 20 minutes to get the glass out. Well worth the buy as I plan to take the tailgate glass out for the respray too.
10. Removed my new blue windscreen myself from my old zed
11. Don't get him started, he'll likely want those too.
12. Still were doing the side trims 6 months ago when my screen was changed. :)
13. Sure it's the same bottle as Japspec with an extra connection.
14. If you can get down to Dundonald near troon within the next two weeks you can have blue tint glass for free if you can get it off my old zed.
15. Big fan of Jay Kay otherwise known as Jamiroquai. Nearly 15 years ago I wanted to buy the domain jaykay but it was already bought so I went with an alternative spelling. Been using jaikai ever since and now own both jaikai.co.uk and jaikai.com
16. Unfortunately for me my wife knows exactly the cost of everything in buying :( New interior from mondo £250 New works emotion alloys £500 Respray costing 1k New steering wheel at £50. Lol
17. Done two myself so far and will be removing the third in about a week or so for my respray.
18. Do it yourself, kit cost about £40 Not that hard just take your time.
19. Series 4 table top spoiler selling for £100 insured posted.
20. Hi Jeff, I had two non return valves fitted to my setup to combat that effect but I have since moved to a manual balance bar.
21. Agree on that, my zed has one and clutch is nice and light.
22. I know, this was more of an informative post for everyone else.
