  1. sounds like what i had, i was also showing lock up solenoid fault, but basically when it starts like that, best check the oil you might find your bands are starting to disintegrate, check the dipstick as well, check for the smell of burnt oil on it, also check its colour make sure its not black or starting to go that way, when i was emptying my auto box for this manual conversion, the oil was very "bitty" and also my hands felt like id been installing roofing insulation. Biggest problem you will have now is, if it is the bands in the torque converter starting to die, then even a good flush through will still leave particles in the system that can destroy your new torque converter. But i had the same, put your foot down and the engine revs would shoot up but no real power transfer to the rear wheels. Best option, go manual if you can.
  2. well ill be there early as well
  3. there is two different types, but the connections are the same. it was just the material they were made from and the fact the alloy ones came with "fins" on them where as the cast iron ones didnt.
  4. ok way to confuse me, lol so locate pin 44 on ecu strip back to bear wire and splice into the wire, now run the new wire to ground on car? or am i way off the mark?
  5. may be the reason sumo sold them, is there anyway of getting hold of do-luck and mailing them about it?
  6. do luck what? power lines? for what? lol
  7. you mean i have to get a wire going from the neutral switch on the gear box to that? aah ffs, well wont be getting under the car anytime this weekend then.
  8. sounds simple enough, but as its the ECU loom im going to be faffing with, would rather know how to go about doing it, getting annoyed with feeling something isn't quite right with the timing, car seems lumpy ish so may as well do this correctly so i can then set the timing correctly as well to rule that out.
  9. they look more like lambo seats, do look nice though, very yummy
  10. Do we have definitive numbers for this event?
  11. Comes with owning a zed mate, built up through years of hardship in fixing the damn thing
  12. you put maps under your seat instead of mats? interesting.... doesnt that get a bit soggy though when its been raining. as for 95 degrees, the rubber is very hardwaring and also heat resistant at that temperature. Love my shagpile mats though i have the dark blue ones not the gray.
  13. depends how you look at it but id say you are looking at this day in the wrong way, think of it this way You have not crashed your car 3 times, so its safe You didnt sell the customer the wrong part You had an extended lunch through no fault of your own You found out your exhaust is cool and noisy Sounds to me like thats actually quite a happy day. maybe the statics are correct then, now had you been having a bad day, you could of just crashed your car, had the wrong part sold to you by a garage your not standing at, so have to go to that one, and on the way there, you break down out side someones drive, blocking them in. its not what happens through life, its how you view what does happen thats the key.
  14. could be, battery was disconnected over night why i sorted out a few other things, so its back in learning mode. does sound very race car now though
  15. Just read that thread, dave you were perfectly in your right to be a bit pee'ed. Again, shouting DIBS, doesnt make it so the seller has to honour that then getting shirty when it isnt. Being able to ask genuine questions about the item first, especially if you do not know, is perfectly fine as well, why should someone just jump into a purchase of an item that might well not be for there needs just because someone might yell dibs. Gonzo in that thread, you actually showed no respect for your fellow forum member, you may very well have known what that item was, its specs and what not, steams clearly didnt so was asking the questions to make sure it was what he needed before committing to buy, had you actually respected that fact, you would have said "well if steams doesnt have it, ive got cash waiting" or even offered up the information to him as well, and all would of been good in the land of the zed, everyone would of known where they stood and your bad feelings for the forum, wouldn't of come to light. Seems there is a bit of shirt pulling going on here and id just like to say can we nip it in the bud, this should be a discussion about whether a seller wants to do dibs or not. i still think that ends up solely on the side of the seller NOT the buyer, but also as buyers people should show a little respect to those expressing an interest in an item that people are clearly asking questions about, to gain information before they commit to a purchase which as a buyer NOT in the know, is perfectly at rights to do, with out someone jumping down their throat about it.
  16. well i aways thought that, but someone once questioned it saying the N/A and TT had different ones. well its not the TPS anyway as that is sitting steady at 0.45v bud, so must me something else making it do it, it could be they all do it, but due to the size of my exhaust its just amplifying the sound so im now noticing it. ive only ever had this exhaust on this zed and it was always an auto up to this point.
  17. what? by making the car rust quicker before it gets done?
  18. I do have working windows, just try not to get it on the paint, you might strip it
  19. well ill be going pod tmorrow till sunday, shame you wont be able to come, could popped along with me bud as ill be on me tod.
  20. It is totally up to the discretion of the seller, personally as i said i try not to do dibs, due to these very reasons. but i remember a certain £2 zed that got sold on here when the person buying already had a fully working one, i was struggling at the time getting the N/A i had sorted out, in fact it was looking more like i needed to do a shell change, i didn't expect anyone to be backing out on that deal. and neither should anyone else. If some one can get funds to the seller quicker than another person, why shouldn't he be allowed to sell to that person for fear of offending? just because someone jumped in and shouted DIB's, doesnt mean the seller has to automatically honor that system, may be if people actually found out the gentlemen's agreements the seller might adhere to first (IE would he accept dibs or not?) then maybe people wouldn't get offended when the guy selling just wants to get the cash and get the part sent off.
  21. not yet, ZX-TT was kind enough to send me through some OEM recircs, but i managed to get some Vent to atmos ones instead that will be getting installed, just need dry weather now
  22. wrong, i still have mine connected, they can force your car into safety mode if you still get the knock sensor fault or other faults. mine still boost and i still have control over the boost levels above stock (im currently running 11psi through my Greddy Profec II spec B) Jeff also advised me to keep them connected for the safety aspect, just use the tube that would normally go to the inter cooler pipes, T them together and plug them into your boost controllers valve controller.
  23. Totally seller orientated that mate, some people don't do dibs, i try not to, i like first with the cash gets its. easier on selling, no offence to others who want dibs on it. but sometimes i just want the item gone rather than sitting around. i will honor dibs though if its a well sort after item, but as stated at the end of the day, its seller orientated HTH
  24. dunno, been trying to figure out where i spotted about the TPS but cant frigging find it now, typical Was going to fit my dump valves but it decided to p it down and thunder at the same time, so thought better of it. only thing though, is didnt touch the TPS, consultz is still saying its 0.45 so thats all good, and taking the pipes off and having a look, its defiantly closing the butterflys properly. just seems odd why im getting over run burble. does sound quite cool though.
  25. just sorted out my heavy clutch issue, fitted the one way valve, so both the break and clutch have there own seperate ones and plumbed it into the top of the plenum, the difference is emence, gone from what felt like trying to push a 1 ton weight around with my left foot, to something that needs little pressure to get moving. SO glad i didnt leave that too long lol Now to sort out this popping on over run
