  1. aah feck sake, think its £90 for some brand spanking new ones and i only need one, so £10 per bolt, jesus.
  2. right, clutch pedal in, break pedal in, car still in bits as its now raining and my legs were getting wet lol. are you sure the fly wheel to crank and drive plate to crank bolts are the same between the auto and manual? i aways thought they were different? As for the clutch housing, the only other option would be as the bolts for the clutch plate cover are done up in 3's, so 9 bolts in total, i could always remove one bolt, and have 2 bolts per 3rd. to balance it out. other wise i gotta find a replacement from somewhere, though really do not like the idea of 6 bolts holding a clutch plate cover on.
  3. yeah giving me loads more room lol, doh!, only thing now is all the damn after market wires going on, break pedal has been switched but i left the old assembly in and just changed the pedal instead as it was easier than fanny arsing about. not too bad almost done. once this is done, then its a case of doing the gearbox, but looks like im missing some bolts :( 2 fly wheel to crank bolts and 2 clutch housing to fly wheel bolts so need to get some replacements, though not sure how thats going to work as i got a RPS clutch housing and these bolts look different to the ones on my other manual conversions.
  4. You got almost a running commentary here lol
  5. Half ton of plastic heater ducting removed loo
  6. Yeah I know about that, seems I'm missing the switches on the clutch pedal do I need them? I've angle grinder that top lip off the pedal as well but seems the clutch booster is being a pain in the arse
  7. Ok right next question, clutch booster on or off for fitting, why does it look like I got less room to play with than when I removed a manual conversion kit lol
  8. Omg all that worry about getting that plate off and it basically came away from the firewall with a few lumps lol
  9. i just thought about that, but im not even at the car yet, just wanted to get some ideas on how to get it shifted before i started taking my angle grinder to it.
  10. i got a hoofing long tire iron with a large flat head end, but its too long i think from being in the footwell to get it to leaver enough to break the welds.
  11. no hammer and chisel lol, oops, ill figure something out, just dont fancy damaging my car thats all.
  12. no 2 x 4 lol, well if i get the worst part out of the way (clutch pedal) gearbox isn't that much of an issue then. typical i need a hammer and chisel (one bit i don't have since my tool kit got stolen back in 2009)
  13. ok no worries bud, ill just have to do it the way i did last time, drag it up onto my chest and then hoof it up to the engine
  14. was wondering about saturday and sunday bud getting the box off the car isnt the problem, its getting the manual onto the car on my own, do able but would rather have the extra hands to get it up.
  15. depends how bad the rust is, but a wide arch kit, if you can get it off the car with out damaging it, possibily around £250, dont they go brand spankers for 350?
  16. i sent you a text bud did you get it?
  17. im sure there was one around here somewhere but i cant seem to find it any more, im going to get started on by putting the dreaded clutch pedal and brake pedal in, but before i got destroying the inside of my car, i need to know how easy it is to get that metal plate off the fire wall. thats all im interested in, so anyone who has done the manual conversion and had to remove that plate (you know what im on about if you have done it) how did you go about it?
  18. get ya hand up there and see if you can feel for the tube matey, it will either be dangling or connected, the other thing to do is get a jug of water and pour it down the targa drain see if it is indeed coming into the car at that point.
  19. this RX7 in chrome wrap, at a distance it looked fantastic. but up close it was horrible at the joins, the owner said it was the worst decision he had made, not due to the company doing the work, but because it just doesnt have the same durability as paint does.
  20. please read the buying and selling guide in my sig, you need to be a subscribed member to sell on the forum.
