  1. well when my engine was up to temp, it was still sitting at 25 degrees out, so used the timing light to set it to 15, though it might not be advancing it correctly due to it still thinking the cars in neutral oops. so do you run this wire from the neutral switch to the ecu, then just plumb it in permanently to the Pin 44 on the ecu? if so i suppose i best get on the case tomorrow lol
  2. if iirc my neutral switch already has a wire connected to it and its all wrapped up in some tape, i just left it as is, though im sure i might be able to reach it from the center console
  3. not the best picture but does show it
  4. yeah same here, and im only on 11psi boost at the moment. :D (i dont get the smoke though)
  5. aaah feck sake, that mean i gotta get me car in the air again lol
  6. nope, just had consults saying the timing was at 25dbtc and it sounded like it had a slight missfire, once i put it to 15dbtc once the engine had warmed up, it purred like a kitten, and when you put your foot down, jesus lol gives a nice little burbble like the sound of a rally car when you take your foot off the throttle, so does actually sound like it might be over fueling, (or the timing is slightly out when on the move) Thats why i really want to do this pin 44 thing the correct way.
  7. LOL so many different ways of doing this pin 44 thing, i think we need a definitive answer on this on exactly what the best thing to do is.
  8. well, when i did my conversion i had a good scout around to see what the opinon was, but i have no switch on my clutch pedal, from what i gathered i didnt hear any one mention what you just did. some said just earth pin 44 on the ecu, others said just set the timing using a timing light once the car had heated up. i know one thing though, its not down on power. But would still want to do it the correct way at some point.
  9. i never did my clutch switch either, or the pin 44 earth, i just set the timing at 15degrees before top dead centre using a timing light. though wouldn't mind actually doing the pin 44 earth and then setting it correctly.
  10. so did i, but the bloody thing gave me the small little image and not the large one you have there LOL bloody stupid google chrome.
  11. how did you get that, i found it, but when it went to the dudes facebook page, it just gave me a little bloody x in the box.
  12. it looks better than this who ever designed the front end, must of been in a rush to go to lunch.
  13. I actually like this. supra with a R33 front end.
  14. i must of met you on a off day then, as you were alright when we met lol
  15. Sounds like an issue with the hi cas, i take it its a TT
  16. unique lol, i do find the zed looks like a radio controlled car when the mast is up though. Now, not sure if someone has wired the stereo at the back correctly, but iirc its a blue wire you need for the Ariel, they may have wired it up wrong. did you have a connector on the Ariel or did you have to splice it in? had to ask just in case.
  17. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?134168-**SOLD**Zed-for-sale**SOLD** see, told you i had it bookmarked
  18. the what? is that something for the stinking rich or something?
  19. Usually when one injector fails, its not long before the rest follow, and they can be a pita its usually best replacing all anyway, z1 would be your best bet. though you could also try zcenter or MJP.
  20. my god hes back, wondered where you had been hiding mate, hows the car coming along? havent thrown in the towel then thank god.
  21. will never contend with the £2 zed mate, never ever ever, hell i still have that page bookmarked LOL Oh welcome to the club bud. check sills for rust, well best thing to do, get under the car with a torch and have a ganders.
  22. you may be lucky you may not, seems some people have had success fitting them, others have not. I guess it might just be one of those things, the zed does seem to have 2 different oil pans, not sure if they vary in dimensions or anything, but could do going by that very fact I've already stated.
  23. mine does the exactly the same when the terminals are not making a good contact, i have never blown a fuse, but go to start the car, you hear click, and then no lights or power, like something "tripped out", removing the negative on my battery, clean the contact and putting the battery lead back on, fixed the issue, had it do it quite a few times, as the negative terminal lead coating seems to Oxidize quickly and end up causing connection issues.
  24. happy getting old day bud
