how does a 300 do against
e-peen wars lol. Its a quicker car, even your specs show that + you had 4 people in it (ok 2 were children), as stated, it also costs a lot more than a Z, He is obviously taking it a bit easy on you, not everyone wants to risk crashing such an expensive motor just to prove a point, or may be he sat there after noticing the fact you had children in the car, and though, "well if i push it, hes just going to drive faster trying to beat me, putting them children at more risk" so laid of the gas a little. I once fit 12 twix in my mouth....true story.

@ChrisC.....
Hi Kim, Unfortunately, this is not going to benefit owners of z32's, i can understand not wanting to post about deals of unauthorised traders (IE mechanical parts), but insurance groups? I have to say if it wasn't for that thread then i would more than likely never of found out about lynbrook, so would now be having an insurance deal in and around the £900 mark. I never bothered with Adrian flux after reading a fair few reviews about them, and not many people had a great deal to say that was very good. Just out of curiosity, I've just done a quote with Adrian flux, £1300 if i was a subscriber, and got the 15% discount, im still looking at £1105, comparing this to lynbrook @ £278, i can see why Adrian flux is going to be glad you have stuck up for them. So based on this, i can either subscribe (which i think is around £20), take out insurance from Adrian flux @ £1300 all because they are authorised traders so sounds good because the site is in association with them. with my 15% discount comes to a total of £1125 (that's including the £20 i had to spend on getting the discount. Or someone could of been kind enough to start a thread about insurance companies to help people get a better idea about little known companies (id never even heard of lynbrook till i see that thread) that got me a really good deal of £278 for the year saving me a massive £847, just so the website can pocket £100 from adrian flux and £20 from me. Please note this isn't a dig, or a flame or anything like that, i just find it a bit bazaar how in this day and age. people cant help each other on a forum with a bit of information due to one insurance company that in all honesty, isn't really that good, if your not sure about what others have to say about Adrien flux, as suggested, google is your friend on this one and its not hard to find. Personally if i was this website id research just who it accepts as a trading partner. it takes a life time to build a good reputation, but a few seconds to destroy it. Please don't think im having a go or anything and i sure as hell don't want this to turn into a flame thread. ZX-TT If your on about lynbrook, i got quoted on the fact ill have a Thatcham cat 2 alarm, self employed, S/D/P, but not commuting, and also have a second vehicle as my everyday runner, 31 years old, married with kids. ** Please note, the above comments regarding taking out insurance with Adrien flux and also subscribing to get the discount are just examples and if anyone takes out insurance with out fully investigating other companies, i take no responsibility if you lose out on a good deal.

Driving with no exhaust
Wouldn't matter what time of day or night you do it, its going to sound like a spitfire Merlin engine... If the plod stop you, say your on your way to pick up the exhaust that fell off lol
-
how does a 300 do against
depends, gotta remember to really understand how quick that is you need to compare these things to normal everyday bog standard cars, IE: a vectra sri (well me other mates anyway lol) does 0 - 60 in 13 seconds, so 0 - 103 in 13 seconds is pretty quick. my old pug 406 2l turbo, used to do 0 - 60 in around 9 seconds, so was looking at around 70 -72 mph @ 13 seconds.

Need some advice please, tapping noise
Ive had a really good read of this forum, even used the search lol, also checked out that big list of insurance companies too. So far cheapest insurance of been quoted for is £1037 from a company called coverbox who also put a tracker on your car for you. most expensive is Asda car insurance clocking in at £4750 lol, Cars sitting on a friends farm at the moment till i get this tapping / stuttering sorted out so i can take it for a MOT, so i have private land to run around on, biggest problem i have with insurance is i only have 2 years NCD, and had my licence for just 3 years, and im 31. Not many people have given me the time of day so far due to not having my licence 5 years or longer. ill go with cover box if i have to, they know its a import and that it has mods on the car (ss exhaust, twin induction, lowered) so that's looking promising right now, unless i can find anywhere cheaper. Thank you for the replies and help so far.

Need some advice please, tapping noise
might be but not sure, paid peanuts for the car, so might be a underlying problem that he didn't tell me about, Apparently he took it off the road soon after as he didnt want to damage it just in case it was something bad, and its been sitting off the road for around a year from what i can tell. Ooh forgot to add, its sputters when you try and give it some welly, if you drive it like a Sunday driver its fine and will get you where you need to go, but try and give it some to open her up and its like shes struggling to get fuel or something down her is best i can describe it

Need some advice please, tapping noise
I bought a 300zx 2+2 N/A this week from ebay, on the listing it said that there was a tapping noise, and sure enough there is, they last owner said this was due to it having a oil change and it started about a week after, someone had pointed out to him that the wrong oil had been used and that it needed its engine flushing and new oil and filter fitting. Annoyingly i cant tell what type of oil is in it, but I'm going to be doing a Oil and filter change anyway, the last owner said it might be a sticking valve. or tappets. My question is this. What is the likely hood its a sticking valve? Also I'm in need of a new interior, the one that's in it, has a hole in the dash board inline with the center console where someone tried putting a speaker, needs a new steering wheel as the one that's in it is manky, but I'm going to be sorting them bits out anyway, but i want to put in some of them re-trims, Other question is. Are retrims any good? and are they an easy fit? And where do i post a question about insurance lol?

how does a 300 do against
mate of mine has a stock 07 BMW M3, did a quarter mile (Santa pod) in 13 seconds reaching a top speed of 103MPH, someone compare that to a stock TT 300 in the subbed section, (if there is such a thing as a stock TT300 now lol)

vg30dett problem, only had it a week!!!
right i have (i think) the same tapping noise, last owner said it started just after an oil change, an that hes been told the garage that did it put the wrong oil in the engine, he was advised to change the oil for the correct one, alone with an engine flush but never did. Phoenix, does it stutter when you try and floor it? as mine does, its fine unless you try and give it some welly, then it stutters / sputters. will be changing the oil sometime this week to see if that will clear it, If we stick a screw driver on the injectors, what sound are we listening for?

$$$ zed for sale on ebay us.
i want that rear bumper, one of the best I've seen so far, truly unique..... And where can i get some chrome like that for my engine lol that thing is truly awesome, not so sure about the front though, and the color is off putting for me, way to much red in that. but that's just my personal opinion, nothing against red cars or anything, just way to common for a sports car.
