basically, the rear wipers switch does nothing, the main wiper switch does nothing, press the button to get the jets working does nothing lol, the air con does nothing, doesnt even light up and give me some funky digits, the connectors on the back of the pod look in great shape and was hard to disconnect them so i know they are in there solid. Oh god you mean I've gotta become a contortionist to get behind the fuse box in the foot well? time to go on a diet me thinks... i think im just going to take the drivers seat out to be honest if i have to dig around down in that foot well. give me some nice laying down room lol

Yep god illumination, took all the fuses out and had a look all are ok, i'm miffed to be honest.

The pod on the right with the lights on works fine, it's just the aircon one, I get no digits, wipers don't work, jets don't work aircon not workie, tis dead jim.. Lol Groover you have a pm soon as I've sent it

Every thing on my aircon pod, apart from my hazard light is dead? It's only that pod everything else works as intended? Iv checked all the fuses an none are blown is there a relay for the side pods I've missed somewhere? Was hoping to put the car infor it's Mot next week, but there is no point until I get my wipers working again. Is there something I've missed? I've checked the fuses in the drivers foot well and under the bonnet but can't see anything else.

As much as you hate the atmos valves I can send you a DV26 it has the same size connector as the DV30 so you can see if it fits? Just send it back once finished with

Gutted wasn't the word, but it did have a light at the end of the tunnel, I'd say the best option for you would the engine swap, it really isn't that bad as I managed on my own with only a bit of help with the spigot bearing from jamieTT, I'd much rather do a engine swap than try to rebuild the bottom half of one with the engine still in the car.

That was when I put two conrods through the oil pan lol, if I can find the other photos I'll show you how bad it can be, bare in mind, mine blew while driving, and managed to crack the cylinder block in two places, snap two conrods, one of which punched a hole in the oil pan the other smashed it's way through the block, the counter weights mangled what was left. Not trying to scare you or anything but if your big ends are failing best just to not drive it at all, will lessen the damage you have to fix

Red, just a question but whats happened? you say it hasn't suffered total bottom end failure, yet been advised that its safe to drive? are you experiencing any knocking at around 2500rpm? because if you are, id say the best option would be to leave it till the work is done. This is the lower part of my piston after i blew the engine.

Well, tomorrow with the help of my trusty side kick, ill get a video of what happens, ill get one when the engine is just started from cold after sitting over night, and one when the engine is at speed. good thing is... even once warmed up and sat idling for around an hour, all it does is pump white smoke out of the exhaust that dissipates quite rapidly when you rev it, and doesnt obscure visibility. once it returns to idle you get a very small amount of white smoke. that's more of a haze than smoke (like when you breath out in winter) plus its going to look like condensation anyway due to when plipping it. it spits water out the exhaust lol You know what. i might just pass going on what the MOTers hand book is like

Well ill stick it in for a MOT next week and see what happens, if it passes even with smokey tub, at least ill have more time to sort it out with out having to worry where i park it to work on it. I was lucky the female police officer i spoke too likes the 300zx or she would of towed it there an then, had a good talk about motors though and i have to say she was very knowledgeable lol, she even stated she owns a GT4 and said she would give it a race if she ever see me on the road. lol not sure i approve of that one. but at least she was down to earth about it.

lol i wished, business account, personal account, savings account (mainly for funds for my daughter and son though so i never touch this as its their cash not mine), and an account i use solely for Direct debits lol
