Storage of your 300ZX
Old army trick when they store their vehicles 1 take battery off 2 fill engine with engine oil 3 clean and wax the car, clean the interior 4 To prevent flat spots on your tires, you can always jack the car up and leave it on Axel stands 5 If you don't want to fill the engine with oil, take the spark plugs out, and put a bit of oil in the cylinders. then put the spark plugs back in 6 Do a oil and filer change before you store it. this can help eliminate acids from the old oil eating away at things 7 add a fuel preservative. also top up so as not to have air in the tank. Air = condensation = water = rust. When you finally want to finish storing it Don't for get to empty all the oil out and give it some fresh oil and a filter change while there. Charge battery and connect. take cover off Start engine and go for a drive

well if you can we can try my MAF in yours, also do a search for boost leaks and just generally eliminate what it could be. also do a ECU code check as well. and as mine isn't going anywhere fast, can try coil packs as well

They tried this now
Well, rule of thumb with emails Never click a link in a email, even if its from a trusted source unless you know specifically that that person is sending you a link. this also goes for copying and pasting the link into the address bar that some scam emails want you to do. Never click any email saying it needs to verify who you are once you have already set up what ever it is you have set up (ie if you get a email 3 months after setting up Paypal) Never go through a email link to get to the company that is holding your valuable information especially bank details. Even if you get scare letters, always navigate to the website using a trusted source such as google or your own favorites link, or better yet the address bar. If you think its suspicious it probably is. Always check the link. If you hold your cursor over the link, the real address will show in the bottom left hand corner of the Internet explorer window you have open, above your start button in windows (one reason i do use Internet explorer) Never fall for a time limit to respond for entering details, its easier for you to retrieve your information or resign up if its genuine, than it is to recover from having your account hacked or details scammed, so if in real doubt, just ignore it. Always remember if there is a problem with your account you can normally verify this by tying the site in by hand into the address bar (do not copy an address out of the email) navigating through the login and checking out details or accounts. almost all companies holding your valuable details will let you know there is something wrong with in your account settings.

Total Nissan Magazine needs your help
May as well of just asked us to vote for our favorite Nissan Micra on here, blooming cheek if there isn't many 300zx's even appearing in total nissan. Surely a project 300 would be better than a skyline.

Tesco's Momentum 99...better than V-Power
Tescos fuel is supplied by BP, same as sainsbury's as well, the trucks turn up with nothing more than a small BP logo on the cabin where i am. so im sure they have struck a deal of some sorts.

Normal Headlight bulb and HID help needed
plug the connector for your normal wiring loom into the ballast, then run the ballast wire to the bulb, if you connect it wrong it just wont light up, if it doesn't swap the connections around and bobs your monkeys uncle, daylight in the dark.

Normal Headlight bulb and HID help needed
Did you get the ballasts in the kit? (small box with wires in and a connection on it that the bulb plugs into it, or did you get just the bulb replacement for a HID kit? Sounds to me you do not have a HID kit installed on your car. in that case you would of been better off just getting the normal bulbs H3C if your car had them. You will need a set of ballasts to get the HID bulbs working. Jap spec dipped beam headlight bulb here. with out the need to add anything. http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=219&category_id=61&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7

ready to give up
my auto starts with just the key in the ignition once the immobiliser has been disabled. never had to put my foot on the brake to get it to turn over. This might come in handy though http://twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=technical&msg_id=916979&forum=technical&dtSearch=28 i have to admit though, it might be immobiliser issue, i did have a good write up for the conversion saved as a fav, but cant find it now :(

ready to give up
it might be the ECU thinking that the car is in something other than neutral or Park, so stopping you starting it.

ready to give up
stupid question but did you change the ECU over to a manual one?

Engine bay fans.
yes on a OEM car (IE not modded) there are indeed two fans, one is coupled to the engine direct (viscous one) and one attached too the radiator of the Aircon (electric one), you can test the electric one by unplugging the square connector on the front water pipe (not the smaller one which is your temperature sender going to the display on the dash) with the ignition on, it should pop into life. but yes you should notice that when the fan comes on, the engine revs slightly more due to it drawing more from the battery, even more noticeable engine rev with the A/C pump engaged.

Numberplate issues
added that to favorites, think i might invest in one for JAE and other car events *cough*

Numberplate issues
Screw the Internet content where do you get the number plate hider Traffic police "excuse me sir wheres your number plate, you are supposed to be showing it at the front of your vehicle?" You: "just there? didn't you see it?" Traffic police "wtf? think i need to go to spec savers, pretty sure it wasn't there a moment ago..."

600bhp dreamer's
Well, if they think they can get one with 500bhp for cheaper, id tell them to go for it, but to remember that yours comes with proof that it does it, and that one probably doesn't.

baby seat!!!!!!!!!
My custom made one has a fold down part under it, so it sits nicely in the bucket seat (Booster seat not car seat) get a car seat with the rocking motion and it fits snugly in the bucket of the rear seat also.
-
One for BEE GEE VINZ
id do that as a job as long as i didn't have to climb back down it. going up isn't a problem for me, or being stood on the top on such a small area, but hell id want to base jump off it rather than have to climb down.

Happy Birthday Baz

baby seat!!!!!!!!!
 ?? i managed to get a baby seat that attaches to the buggy in my Zed, i can even get 2 booster seats in with enough room for the little ones. (although one was made specifically for the Zed) Shop around, baby seat will go behind the passenger if you adjust the front passenger seat forward (depending on what car seat you have) though i suppose it helps that my lady is only 5 foot 4inch's high, so less worry about leg room i suppose. But i have 2 children, one 2 year old and a 8month old. i can fit both in the zed with the booster seats as well. I can also get a buggy in the boot of my zed with 2 small suit cases and close the lid. But if you have a new born get a harness to carry little one close to the chest, that way you can eliminate the buggy.
