looking for new lcd tv
plasmas are not less reliable. i have a 42inch JVC that is 2001 model and still going strong with no screen burn. and that is a achievement considering its a 1 gen model bought out when plasma screens were a new technology. screen burn is not as bad nowwa days with the advancement in technology and you would need to be showing the same picture for a good month 24/7 to get screen burn even on the older models. I swear by plasma technology, the colors are a lot better, the picture quality is a lot better and the contrast is a lot better. all this *****cks of plasmas waring out faster than a LCD is just that. *****cks. screen life of a LCD is 60 thousand working hours. screen life for a plasma is 60 thousand working hours. exactly the same. If you take a look at Ebay, you see the same pattern, LCD and plasmas suffer the same problems with the boards buggering up, but its hit and miss as to whether you suffer that problem. Rule of thumb though. below 32" LCD, above 32" plasma. Yes plasma are a slight bit more to run then a LCD but also screen for screen size price they are a lot cheaper. above 32" the picture quality suffers on a LCD around sharp edges. But the decision is ultimately up to the buyer. Sorry pab, didn't mean to come across harsh. just annoying when people slate a plasma screen based on business use when they first came out. Under normal house hold use, your plasma should last the same length of time as a CRT should. yet if you are planning on advertising things with static images 24/7 then expect some screen burn after about 2 months. (you can also screen burn LCD as well by the way) But bear in mind. a lot of problems associated with plasmas are due to heat as they run hot, so when buying one make sure you follow these rules. - Brand name, a good brand name can make the difference between it lasting 6months or 6 years. - Does it have good ventilation? are there any fans in the back of the unit and are the air vents placed in good locations - What stand does it come on? it might be nice to wall mount it, but also allow for plenty of air to get behind the unit to allow it too cool adequately - Does it have a self sleep mode? mine has one, if there is no signal going to it for more than 5 mins, it turns its self off. - Does it have a screen saver function? this could be ranging from dimming the screen if a static image is displayed for longer than 5mins to funky patterns like a modern day PC. - location, where are you going to put it? ive seen some horror locations for plasmas and LCDs alike, one of my dads friends thought it would be a good idea to locate the unit above a radiator in his house. needless to say he was replacing the unit with in 9 months due to board failure from over heating. But then those rules can also be applied to LCDs as well.

can anyone make a plasma tv stand?
yeah i tried that, but all it does is show me how to use google. i already know that. Problem is, when you put in just "plasma TV stand" it gives you the units to put the fooking thing on when its already on a Stand? this is what i dont want http://www.standland.co.uk/ http://www.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&rlz=1T4GGLS_en-GBGB406GB406&q=plasma+tv+stand&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1659&bih=830 this is what i do need (well i would show you but that is the bloody problem im having), but i need one for the model i have. i don't want to buy one that isn't going to support its weight (40KG). or might not even fooking fit. its also a discontinued model so accessories for it are hard to get. even when i put the model number in and put stand next to it. it brings up a load of crap, so as much as your replies were funny, they help little. and Jazzy, the link to the stand you gave. is for a different model. Im sure you can understand why i dont want to put a 50inch plasma on a unknown stand surely?

can anyone make a plasma tv stand?
Need it to bolt on the back, if i supply the measurements and how much its got to withstand (weight of the screen) can someone fabricate one for me? It needs to fit a Pioneer 50" pdp502mxe. and table mounted if possible? if not no worries, just finding it hard to source a genuine one.

fuel smell
i very much doubt you will need to buy a new fpr, just replace the small fuel hose under it running to the injector rail.
-
fuel smell
id say fuel pressure regulator as well, its where mine is leaking from, and it was also the one that was leaking on artztogos car when i chased and sorted his fuel leak out. its not a hard job. just be warned though about tightening clips as a means to stop a fuel leak. Artztogos was leaking due to over tightening of the clips, it dug into the rubber and caused the leak to become worse over time. Id rather replace rubber tubing than tightening to be perfectly honest.

Anybody got a picture of a front hub??
Daz after careful consideration, ill pass on the yellow zed shell lol

Does anyone know what make this bumper is?
Bit of wood and a rubber mallet, but it has some high patches to sort out and then it needs filling, but managed to get the rough shape back using just the wood and mallet. i now have a professional set of panel hammers and mad max's spot weld puller for the panel under the rear bumper. When the weather is a bit better. going to take the paint off that I've put on it. and get it back to bear metal. then going to pull the lower panel and reshape all the metal and try and get it as close to original as possible. then tackle the bit you can see in the photo. going to tap the high points back down, and then filler and shape the rest. once its done shouldn't even be noticeable. :D
