Tyre Pressure
open the door, on the inside of the door frame should be a sticker near the door catch that the door closes on, it should state there what your tyre pressure should be. it goes by weight of the car not what size wheels tyres you have on it. 3.5bar is almost at your maximum limit. have a blow out at that kind of pressure when blowing your tyres up with out a cage and its going to be very dangerous. people have been killed by tyre blow outs before, 30psi = the explosive force of a grenade. flying bits of car tyre being ejected at 3.5 bar and your looking at causing some serious damage to anything it hits.

Nice car mate ..... what is it?
i had a guy in a skyline at mcdonald turn around and say to me "nice supra" and in the same sentence say how he had one? Always amazes me how every other person you speak too "knows" someone who used to own one, once you let them know what it is. But had a few of the kids around my area asking what it is, i just look at them and say "its a Nissan" they never believe me. Had one kid say "nice lambo" before and another ask if it was a kronegggsegggggegegege (lol) Oh forgot to add, had a chav pull up in my carpark and say that he could fit the engine in his corsa lol

ideal for removing rear spoiler
id think that would do more damage to the boot than it would help to be honest.

Repaints and leaky targa`s
i spoke too soon didn't i, just went out to check something on the car, and im leaking halfway down the A-piller on the passenger side, its dripping onto my doors air vent. now i can hardly silicon that part so what causes it to leak there? the leak is coming from where the window glass touches the rubber.

Repaints and leaky targa`s
nice write up, i bet its not only a paint job, but over time your seals might come loose from the older sealant not doing its job any more, might help out more people, will be checking mine in the morning if its not still raining then. (they don't leak, but better to check and be safe than have to worry about water ingress into the floor pan)

Must be hard for you not to do, ya ugly bugger. But truth be told, the only reason its 7 years bad luck for a broken mirror is because back in the 17th and 18th century, if a maid of the manor, broke a mirror it would take 7 years of wages to replace it. hence the comment "its 7 years bad luck if you break a mirror"

GT-R : Very, very impressive
there were loads at JAE last year, and i have to say there prowess is just something awe-inspiring, i think they got the look spot on to be honest, it has a very aggressive look and stance on the monster alloys. I love it.

Who is Mike at Z World?
When ever anyone stipulates that the car has had "thousands spent on it", i cant help but think that its either had a lot of problems, or if its been modified, that its been thrashed about all over the place, just so someone can prove to them selves that the cost of all the modified parts were justified.

Possible new owner
If its AUTO definitely make sure you take it for a test drive, bring it up to temp and see if it holds its temperature. Also find out when it last had a cambelt / water pump change, these are more important on our cars, and see if he has paper work to back up his claim. Again ill reiterate what pab has said, make sure you check the sills, especially if it has skirts on as they can hide rust patches. Check for rust in these areas, front wheel arch, sills from front arch to rear arch, and rear wheel arch, also check the fuel tank straps for ware or rust as these can eventually dig into the tank and make it leak. When you take it for a drive, if a auto box, it should change gear smoothly with out crunching or grinding, and should go through all the gears and back down them with out stalling or wanting too, with a Manuel the gears should select correctly with out the need to force them in. power from the turbos will come quick and sharp around the 2.5k rev range and be smooth, check for large amounts of smoke out your rear window, as this could indicate a failing turbo, steam is usual on these cars especially at this time of year coming from the tail pipes, but it should dissipate rapidly and not smell of oil Check for black sooty marks on the rear bumper as this will indicate over fueling, and will most likely be due to needing one of the O2 sensors changing, or could indicate another problem. When at idle check to see if there are no misfires, you will hear them better at the tail pipe as a sort of puffing sound that has a irregular pattern. as these can be a pain in the rear to track down the reason why. Also, the more standard it is with receipts the more likely the chance it hasn't been thrashed to with in a inch of its life. One thing i will say about owning a 300zx, is that you will at some point in the first year of owning it, spend more time fixing things than driving it, if it hasn't been looked after, these cars are now a good 20 years old and some really do show it over others. Again make as pab has said, make sure you check the tread on the tires, prices start at around £100 a corner and escalate quite rapidly, as you do not want to be putting a cheap brand on them. they really show just why they are cheap tyres.

There is a whole SECTION dedicated to subscriptions, have a look at the stickies for subscription details. Also, it not against the rules to purchase a car and we welcome all newcomers. However offering swaps for vehicles goes against our selling regulations, they are in place due to events that have happened in the past and as such are enforced, this works for new comers as well as old time members whos subscriptions have expired and now find them selves just registered user, So please dont feel like we were "targeting" or "making it difficult" for you. As a new comer, we advice you to read up on the forum RULES so that they do not get broken. we as moderators are in place to enforce these rules, sometimes they may seem a bit silly or strict, but unfortunately they are there for a reason. We are not trying to make it difficult for new comers, or make them feel unwelcome, but a read of the forum AUP should have prevented any of the mods Stepping in; in the first place. Rust Proofing
A good rust proofer should displace moisture, but think of it like this, it can only displace moisture when the moisture has somewhere to go. other wise it will get trapped under it. Take a ball and place it on the table, and get some tin foil, now the ball is a water droplet and the tin foil is your rust proof, if you just come along and plaster the area with tinfoil, all your going to do is cover the ball. same principle.
-
Rust Proofing
best time to do rust proofing is in the baking hot heat where moisture isn't going to get trapped between your rust proofing and the body work. You need a perfectly dry car as well, you have to remember rust proofing is designed to stop water getting in or out. so works both ways, if you have cold damp metal and you apply your rust proofing you are basically setting a breading ground up for the rust worm, by trapping the water between the metal and the protection layer :(

iPhone tecchies
when you sync your iphone to itunes it always takes a back up, if you have text messages and deleted them after you last pluged your phone into itunes, you will lose these for good. if you didnt have any text messages since your last plug in. plug your iphone in and you should be able to restore your iphone from a choise of backups its stored on your device. that is the only way i know of getting back deleted messages on a iphone 3gs
