I'm the same, not a big fan of red cars and I don't care if they have a prancing horse on them either lol, but the burgundy color is lovely especially with cream leather interior to match, my alloys are off the car at the moment getting a clean In The bath lol

Thank you Andy Isherwood and Pablito
Id like to extend a public thank you to Andy Isherwood and Pablito for helping get a replacement front fog light after i lost the front glass in my other one lol Anyway, yes yes i know my car needs a bloody good clean on the out side. its just been way to cold to get out with a bucket of water and a sponge at the moment, but anyway some photos of her. Yes the bumper does need respraying as ive had some scrapes on speed humps around my area. unfortunately unavoidable as they have bread like rabbits. My cam covers came out nice :D Need to redo my pin stripes on the rear lights as they are peeling badly lol And my bodge job that i need to tidy up and spray black, it has red primer on at the moment

Where to get a new Starter Motor - Part no?
A lot of second hand ones come off of working cars that are being broken for various body related problems, its the reason i have one spare, the starter is working perfectly, it was body work reasons i broke the breaker. I havent seen many issues with the starter as its quite a robust piece of equipment and doesn't get used alot. Also, 3 old starter motors still only comes to £90 to £100, which is still far cheaper than a new one. the likely hood your going to actually go through 3 starter motors is highly unlikely unless its not fitted correctly in the first place. I'm not trying to tell you what to do. I'm just saying that the reason most starters are second hand, is because people break there cars for a multitude of other reasons so have them available. I have seen far more engine and turbo / gear box related "help" threads than starter motor ones, mainly due to the high reliability. I hope my bit of info for you helps you decide. personally id go for a second hand one, id only buy brand new if i was trying to restore the whole car to its original glory and a second hand one wasn't available. Good luck matey

Smoking, but...
On the compression test it should be. Minimum compression on a twin turbo is 121psi and max is 174 with no more than 14psi between any 2 cylinders On a N/A its 136psi minimum with a max of 186psi, again with no more than 14psi between cylinders

I have a start motor it came off a auto so not sure if it will fit a manual but can't really see there being any difference unless the start gear is different?

Fastest car in the world is the mclaren F1.........(yes im going to kick up a storm here) BUT when you look at it this way The fastest NON turbo car in the world is the mclaren F1 Bugatti and Koenigsegg CCR are just turbo charged engines. id love to see what the Mclaren can do with 4 turbos strapped to it lol

Best Pose for a Z
Anyone have any more pictures of this one? i love it.
-
wheel arch
nope, the bracket bolts on in the wheel arch and sits in the lower area of the bumper. ooh feck it. ill go get some pictures lol its easier to explain
-
wheel arch
You shouldn't do, mine had all but rusted away on my breaker, and the bumper held fine. i think its to help stop the sides bowing in at high speed. As soon as you undo the bumper the metal bracket is only held on by a single 10mm nut and flaps about a bit

Strange misfire

http://www.trivia-library.com/a/origin-of-common-superstitions-breaking-a-mirror.htm You appear to be correct. I am now trying to find where i heard the explanation i hear. but i didn't get it from the web, so not sure if ill find it on the web. unless its a common misconception. Would be interesting if they are both available as to what one is correct.
