  1. i wouldnt use an airtool to scrape glass off a customers car either, id use a hoover for that
  2. i thought that, but there is no top vents and the side vents are more angled than the viper ones
  3. as per title http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-300-ZX-Fairlady-Twin-Turbo-1996-N-Fresh-Import-/320678583363?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4aa9eedc43
  4. that's what i was using, then half way though had to take them off, as they where getting stuck to everything. basically i put a bead of Tiger seal on all the surfaces that were going to be in contact with the tail gate. then on the edge that will get the most wind, i put more seal on and then smoothed the edge to make it more aerodynamic. it was during the smoothing processes to get it flush (so no hard edge for the wind to grab) that the gloves then got covered. but a little trick when using your finger. take a cup of washing up liquid mixed with water with you. you dip your finger in the washing up liquid and then smooth the sealant. the liquid stops it sticking to your finger. The tiger seal looks almost like the stuff used to hold the rear lights together with. very strong as well. just make sure there is no where for the wind to grab under the spoiler as soon as that happens, believe me that spoiler will leave the car. Then clamp it down at the edges and wait for it to set.
  5. happy birthday matey
  6. i used tiger seal, its a polyurethane based sealant, i would say ware gloves but you will end up sticking them to it if your not careful http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TIGER-SEAL-ADHESIVE-SEALANT-BLACK-_W0QQitemZ350159959790QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=221853811308&rvr_id=221853811308&cguid=142fdf2412d0a0a9f580f630fe7e2415
  7. lol the forum needs a "like" button like facebook
  8. ive just realised, daz hasn't installed the mirrors to view his engine. at that angle all its going to show is men's crotches when they are stood there looking at his engine bay
  9. mate id love to live there. typical British government way of thinking though, send all the prisoners there, they will have a hard life  they should of moved all of us over there, and left the prisoners here hahahaha
  10. Cricky and there was me thinking i was taking the piss :confused1::lol:
  11. does look good though daz. its a bit Aus300zx though lol ;)
  12. i shall await the Blue LED's going into the bay for when it gets dark before i comment. but I'm still surprised that you manages to break a mirror into perfect sized panels for your bonnet, just by looking at it... amazing.....
  13. whats wrong with driving slow for once, i think these cars are great at slow speed. gives people a chance to notice it instead of a streak of paint flying past. especially when you have the roof off. just give it the beans up to the speed limit like i do :) Unless im going through town, then ill drive at 20 in the centers 30 zone.
  14. Motor way and traffic police have calibrated speedo's and even on training they will have the camera rolling as they are still on duty anyway. Ask for the evidence anyway as they have to supply it for your solicitor
  15. How off topic did we go lol daffy it's ok I'll sort your sig out, now where's my razor I have some spiders legs I need to remove
  16. having owned a N/A manual, TT auto and now a TT manual, ill take the manual TT over both of the other two any day of the week. yes the autos turbos spool faster, but hell the manual is loads of fun. plus i can shift when i want too rather than worrying about if the gear box is playing up.
  17. andy, that one isnt yours, you need one though matey lol
  18. red, use photobucket and upload them, then when you save it to your album, it will show you the thumbnails of the photos you just uploaded, if you put your mouse pointer on the picture and click on the code that starts it will save it to your clip board, then just come back to this thread and right click in the topic window and select paste.
  19. im defo waring mine to JAE and i dont care if no one else does. woohoo, the 300zxmankini.co.uk
  20. basically they electrically charge the alloy, put it in a room and spray a fine mist of paint powder particle's at it, then bake it in a oven. the powder particles melt forming a unified layer with out paint run or the need for sanding.
  21. Then id be replacing the drivers side O2 sensor lol
  22. on a refurb they sand blast alloys anyway and then powder coat them, so cant see why you wouldn't be able to do it your self if you had the equipment.
  23. Funniest thing is, he thinks that by rubbing his finger over the lacquer that you would be able to feel a decal and that it would raise the lacquer in that place. I can confirm that if you do not do it correctly, this is indeed the case. but speaking from experience of model making for the past 14 years. and using decals of all shapes sizes and thickness. that if applied correctly they would not raise the lacquer in those areas. also you can "cut back" the lacquer to give a flat finish.
