Baz is hardcore, he doesnt use vaseline, more like axel grease.- Gearbox oil change
i go commando nowadays :tank:- purple petrol eater
try not to worry too much, its some strange baz fetish. not sure what its about, and dont really want to know. started just after Daz posted pictures of his planking exploits.- Gearbox oil change
same plug as on the underside to drain it mate, Circular plug with a Square recess in, its located on the drivers side of the gear box about half way up.- Gearbox oil change
OK people cant frigging read, try sucking custard through a garden hose, thats about as fast as your going to be drawing that gearbox oil out of that tub. Cant understand how someone stood there and died from doing it personally, with a clear hose you can see perfectly well when its past the half way point. stick the hose in and let gravity to the rest. gear box oil doesnt get any where near your chops.- August 21st - London motor museum meet.
Sunday meet mate, so pick a date thats on a sunday in august lol.- Gearbox oil change
yes mate. I wouldn't advice filling it before fitting unless you have the use of a transmission jack and a pit- Gearbox oil change
Sorry, but if your stupid enough not to use a clear see through hose, oh and have lost the ability to SPIT. well... thats just asking for trouble really. it really doesnt flow fast enough to get a gob full of oil matey.- Thanks ZedWorld
you need to pop that beasty round mine and get some pictures with them next to each other, though we will have to push mine out of the bay at the moment as ive got the engine unplugged ready to be lifted - August 21st - London motor museum meet.
ill give them a ring tomorrow, who's free in august for this? i cant see it being this month to be honest. i want my car on the road for this.- purple petrol eater
what baz is trying to say, is you still have orange side indicators on the old girl, and they make it look slightly dated (i mean very slightly dated lol)- got my black gloss vinyl
well, as its vinyl, if it starts peeling under the heat of the sun, id just remove it, and as it wasn't that expensive no real loss, but if it damages my paint, they will be getting a repair bill as it states on their bay add "this will not harm your paint work"- Gearbox oil change
why buy a pump? what ever happened to a bit of manual labour lol- got my black gloss vinyl
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160527278748&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT i got 2 metres by 1 metre of this stuff. hell might not even be the correct stuff, but was cheap enough.- Gearbox oil change
i got a 5 litre bottle of manual gearbox oil. raise the bottle higher than the zed (make sure its not dripping down the side of the bottle) after emptying the gearbox, i left the side screw undone, started sucking on the hose till i see the oil (clear hose is best for this, wouldn't recommend a mouth full of gearbox oil) its very thick stuff so takes some lungs to get it shifted, once it starts moving, stick the hose in the side hole, remove the hose when it starts leaking out the gearbox and cap both the bottle (first) gearbox after. Hint for you, to undo the drain nuts and filler nuts, use a 1/2 ratchet or breaker bar with nothing on it.- got my black gloss vinyl
im not going around corners, i did say that in the first post? why is everyone commenting about going around corners  I want to know a step by step if possible? though if no one has one, it was cheap enough to just trial and error and ill get the walk through up.- anybody no this zed ??
minimum bid of £200, with no bids so far, i dunno i reckon if you get it for £200, and did the work your self, unless it needed jigging, i reckon you could get ya self a nice car there, even if you got it for £200 and the chassis was irreparable, there is a £500+ manual conversion kit on it ready for selling to double your money at least. if some one out bids you of your £200, dont bother lol- got my black gloss vinyl
- got my black gloss vinyl
Now what? lol Ive been looking all over the web for a write up, and every thing I've seen so far, involves the initial question followed by a load of people saying how hard it is to get around corners and what not. Now all im doing is my roof bars, so wont need to worry about getting around dodgy angled bends. Will be going down to the car in a min to template the back of the vinyl ready for cutting (yes i know to leave some over hang) Now im not sure if i really need to do any stretching as its just the bars. also would a hair dryer do for heating? cant really get the car indoors plus get electric too it. and there really isnt any step by step guides. ive seen some people mention a glue? now im not really keen on the idea of putting glue on my paint work. And yes i already know about prepping and cleaning the area thoroughly- Anyone in/around Wigan that wants a short term labouring job?
would of got away with it if it wasnt for them pesky russians :ninja:- Anyone in/around Wigan that wants a short term labouring job?
West germany, kinda in the middle, not quite south, not quite north. Will give the Germans one thing though, they do motorway maintenance at night to cause little disruption to traffic, unlike in the UK where they do it all during the busiest times of the day, as people want paying night rates. - Help!!Whats this plug???
