1. simply put, not as well known mate. skylines, supra, scoobies, keep there price due to being in a lot of films so they get a good following in the media spotlight, thus people buy them. same as sales of things going up when a celeb is seen with a certain product.
2. this is what i like to see, club spirit. Venturi i wouldn't worry about your age either, we have a few gentlemen of the older caliber on here with 300zx's, they seem to form a fascination with chrome though, have no idea why, must be an age related thing. Seems chrome for the older types, carbon fiber for the young'uns and those in a midlife crisis want big wings and colour changes.
3. they do that to stop people buying it when its out of stock. they put the prices down when its then avalible. saves on ebay fees
4. welcome to the club, leave it blue, fantastic colour :whistling: im not biased honest :)
5. 5 x 114.3 any wheels with that fitment will go on matey. especially if its got no calipers lol
6. http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=70718 click that, paypal is the easiest and fastest method of paying as your name goes green quicker, you can then put a forsale thread up in the forsale section found here http://300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=75 It says about it on the title area to the forsale section It also says about it in the AUP linked in my sig :D anyway shame your joining to sell. this is a very welcoming forum with some very friendly members and a good knowledge base.
7. venturi, hi and welcome to the club, ive had to edit your thread and the title as registered users are not permitted to sell, you have to be a paid up member. We take a no tolerance stance on this im afraid, the reason being was that in the past we have had people come on, put what sounds like a bargain on the for sale sale section in their first posts. and then when someone has given up their hard earned, nothing has been heard of them again and no parts have exchanged hands. So as a way to help protect our members, if someone is genuine £20 is a small price to pay, i know it doesnt always work, but has stopped the majority of it happening. So if you would like to sell, you will have to subscribe.
8. as much as i love CSI, im not basing my argument on that. im basing it from a program called trauma, where camera crews film live ER footage from US hospitals where gun shot wounds are quite common, most are done with small arms, IE: low caliber weapons and the odd .45 or .50 hand gun. also on what was taught to me from when i was the army about gun shot wounds. I know fully well about the different types of ammo, and im sure this guy wasn't shot with NATO rounds. more like small caliber if anything due to it being a pistol unless someone had done some serious modifications to a hand gun (highly unlikely) there was a few programs on channel 4 about a well known German doctor who does autopsies on humans in front of live audiences, he did a series in which he did live autopsies for channel 4 funnily enough. there is no way in hell, a bullet entering the lower abdominal wall and i quote the numpty on the lancer forum "it went in the front and out the back with out hitting any vital organs" the lower intestines would of been the first thing encountered once it had past through the skin, through the stomach muscles and then carried on through the stomach lining (bit that ruptures or has the hole in that causes hemorrhoids) saying it had a clean path through with out tumbling and exited the rear, it still would of pushed a large amount of debris inside from his shirt / t-shirt what ever. then as the guy stated, he magically past out from a stomach wound and awoke on the operating table with 8 doctors around him. then woke after the op and in less than 36 hours of anesthetic got in a car and went shopping. never known stomach pain to be that bearable to be honest. There would be no way the hospital would let the guy leave after having major surgery like that to correct the damage that the bullet did. and not want to keep him in for further observations to make sure he doesnt get secondary bleeding / infection. sorry i just dont buy it.
9. hold on, so one forum hes saying he got his injury to do with being lumped around the head with a baseball bat and on a health advice page, he saying he got his injury from blowing up a tyre. 120psi of pressure and hes alive? ok pull the other one. seriously the guy has issues. when working in the tyre trade, if you were going to inflate a tyre and couldn't get the thing beaded (where it pops onto the edge of the rim) in less than 50psi, you were supposed to use a cage. 30psi is the explosive force of a hand grenade. hell 30psi tractor tyre explodes and its not in a cage it can kill you instantly. ooh i give up, he is clearly an attention seeking idiot. "i don't want it to get out as i don't like the attention" he says while posting it on the web? LOL
10. i cant believe the guy says he had a 7 hour op, and they still let him walk home the same day he came around? I know the NHS can be a bit incompetent sometimes, but they are not going to let someone who has just had major surgery, get up and go out. Let alone the fact the amount of pain he would be in with a stomach wound.
11. i remember saying the same thing when i first got my silver 300zx, "sounds like top end knock" then this happened
12. that doesnt sound too good to be honest. does it sound like a midget with a hammer hitting your engine? nvm just heard the other video. that sounds like bottom ends from the video.
13. ill be taking the japspeed ones ive got off my car soon and will be avalible for sale.
14. i didn't want to comment as im usually the black sheep when it comes to these sorts of stories. But i agree mate, way too much fishy business. A hand gun shoots at 2000+ fps (thats foot per second) i know a few mates who went to afghan, and a couple who did tours in Iraq and afghan, 2 of them got shot, one by a AK, the other by a hand gun, and both have told me a similar thing. Its like getting hit by pro boxer with the hand gun and like being hit by a train with the AK. Also, its well known a stomach wound is one of the most painful places to get shot, and excuse me for knowing my anatomy here, but if the bullet went in and came out in a straight line (although the guy said he was on the floor pointing the gun, so that would be shot at an upward angle) but that bullet would of gone through quite a few layers of intestines. not something you would be walking out of hospital with the same day and thats it it didnt hit the top part of his kidney. Not to mention the risk of internal bleeding, and im sure had it gone in and out, there would be a bigger patch than that on his stomach where they would of had to patch up the path the bullet took. Another thing. bullets are designed to deform once in the body causing extensive damage and larger exit wounds. (hell you just have to watch trauma on CBS reality to know what a bullet to the stomach can do) most people hit in the stomach are bed ridden for a few weeks, not up and about posting about it on the Internet. So im guessing this hand gun business that he says he got shot with seems a bit well, fishy. I also like how he said he doesnt want to make it public, but then posts it on a forum on the web? excuse me if im wrong here, but its already public now. and im sure this isn't the only website that story has been posted too. Another point id like to make. I've seen sword cuts in flesh and i can tell you now. a very swift swipe with a sword / machete, makes a nice straight line cut. not a jagged one that looks like a glass bottle mark. To me, it looks like the guy got into a bar fight, got slashed with either a stanley knife / broken bottle. and then stabbed again in the stomach. Science of bullet wounds doesnt change just because someone says they are a hero.
15. No contest really, jap spec rear all the way, they really did make the rear end a mess when they designed the UK spec one. the rear of the car has enough lights on it as it is, why add two more between what can only be seen as a after thought with the UK spec number plate.
16. for that short amount of time, you would be ok with leaving the battery disconnected, if your still worried when you get back, stick it on a charger before starting the car. shouldnt have to do much else.
17. Agree with Richard on this one, getting my car ramps and jack back tomorrow, so will be ripping my old engine and gear box out of the car this week, and getting the new engine ready for the in. SO who's up for 7th of august?
18. if they're plumbed in correctly
19. this sounds better
20. that sound fookin horrible.
21. yeah it would be fully unrestricted, but as its needed only at high boost when the waist gate opens, it would be pointless and very noisy for a split second lol
22. Divorced waist gate gets its extra benefit from the air inside the divorced pipe as its still, when the waist gate opens the release gas encounters less resistance. where as the non divorced waist gate, it opens straight into the stream of exhaust gas's coming from the exit turbine of the turbos, thus the gas has to force its way into the exhaust system. There would be no benefit to dumping to atoms, and even if it did, you would never pass emissions and it would sound bloody horrible. the reason the pipes are so long before they join is to allow maximum flow of release pressure from the wastegate before it gets to the exhaust flow. thus increasing the speed at which spool up can occur once the waist gate closes. hope that helps explain it. so in short yes you can get an extra BHP boost, dunno what the correct BHP gain figures are, but they do work.
23. definitely not funkys, he had 99spec spoiler and there is no way his alloys would be that mucky (sorry rolanda but Si was a clean freak lol), plus that zed has the stick on alloy stuff, Si would never put that in his car. he liked stock. and clean stock with a little bit of nice touch here and there like alloys. Hell Si could get a set of alloys cleaner than new.
24. this has been discussed before, CK300Z hasnt been able to log onto the forums for a while, so unless he can log on to check his PM's he has no way of knowing who has packs waiting. If you have a pack waiting can, you PM me with contact details so i can forward them. Same format as how you sent the PM to chris please, and ill see if i can get him to send them out.
25. fooking hell mate, gutted for you. What are the garage doing? as they had the car at the time.
