  1. on a lathe mark . he also scimmed the centres to make them 100% true . mine only needed a light scim , he quoted £15-£20 per disc depending on how bad they were .
  2. i got mine done in nuneaton . cost me £30 for a pair
  3. mines just gone through its mot again . apparently the hid issue does not apply yet
  4. cheers stu , i found out today the main is over the other side of our car park so its gotta be the mole .
  5. does anybody know a site that will show you where you can find the location of gas pipes (mains) in regard to your property . im looking to get a new service to my property from the main . if i can find where the pipe is im gonna dig the trench myself. cheers
  6. ive looked at that before . each to their own but i think it looks really cheap and nasty
  7. just had a look at z1 . i cant understand why TWINZ stuff is so hard to get hold of .
  8. looks ok . as already mentioned though your products seem virtually impossible to buy . if i was designing and manufacturing your stuff i,d want it easily available . ive searched for different bits on the net , mainly the rear diffuser but it seems you have to send money abroad to unknown companies . you really need a reputable uk supplier to push your goods
  9. if its not broke dont fix it regarding the respray and manual conversion . if the car is as clean as you say you have got to keep it as it will haunt you forever if you let it go . fix what needs fixing as and when you can and take your time with it . these cars take years to get to what we want , then we change our minds and start altering them again .
  10. this must be one of the daftest things nissan did designing this car . allowing the rear drainage to discharge into the sills . ive recently discovered the dreaded metal cancer around the rear drain points . while cutting away the corrosion i decided to reroute the drains to a safe place where they cannot corrode . firstly i renewed the whole piping from the targa right through and then made a new exit point . the original drain tubes at the sill are going to be removed and the gap closed . heres some pics of the new set up . an easy and cheap job that could save you plenty . only costs about £5 a corner
  11. 80lbs and a drop of semi thread lock and you,ll be fine
  12. i was in a nissan showroom last weekend looking at the GTR . £75000 was the price on the window
  13. certainly not the best designed part of a zed . im looking to extend these out of the car with a length of copper pipe to a safe place . the first joint would be well out of harms way . ive got my rear sills to repair so im gonna make sure this cannot happen again . probably onto and across the subframe so they drain out in the centre of the car . im gonna get under the car and work out the best route
  14. has anybody got any pics showing where the water drains out from the targas . i need front and rear . if i can get into the drain route well enough im hoping to make a complete drain tube with no joints and possibly an extended piece to take the water away from the body underneath the car. i just need some outlet point pics to get me started. cheers andy
  15. thousands spent to create a monster . the only time them kamikaze doors loog good is when theres a bird in a mini skirt getting out
  16. it just goes to show how much work has gone into creating the beast , it should look nice when its finished lol
  17. cheers mate , for that price i,ll give them a try
  18. cheers for the links guys . at last i think i might be getting somewhere .
  19. they were standard plain discs when i got them . i got them rescimmed and then made up some templates and drilled them myself .
  20. can anybody point me in the right direction for getting some new bleed nipples for a set of 350z brembo calipers . ive tried the main dealers and they are a no goer. the problem im having is that the car shops ive tried sell nipples with a different angle on the base so are not sealing as well as they should . ive searched all over the net for brembo part suppliers and up to now have had no luck . really need the exact things . any pointers will be much appreciated thanks andy
  21. just a bit of fun . what are the most rediculous quotes you have had from a main dealer for zed parts. i,ll start the ball rolling , i called into my local nissan dealership for some new bleed nipples for my 350z brembo calipers ive got fitted up front. bear in mind i needed 4. £77 + vat each . thats £92 each . needless to say i declined
  22. lovely looking motor that mate . very nice
  23. theres a printing shop by me that has a printer about 6 ft long . god knows how much he would charge but does them off a memory stick type thingy if it helps
  24. i used to keep fish in a big way . breeding and supplying pet shops . you did right acclimatising the fish by floating the bags for half an hour or so but never , never put the water from the bags into your tank . the amount of aquatic shops that ive been in with diseased tanks is unreal . pound to a penny you have added bugs to your tank via the water in the bags . do another 50% water change and then again tomorrow . make sure you dechlorinate the water as it goes in . 3x the recommended dose . dissolve a couple of tea spoons of salt and add that aswell.
  25. welcome to the club john and good luck with the project . it sounds like you,ve got a lot of zed for your money
