  1. arnt they northern ireland plates gaz ? a mate of mine has a soarer on similar plates just to hide the age
  2. loving the matt black . usually i hate the stuff but it makes it look very current . most engine bays now have moved away from the shiny bling affect and gone black or carbon . its gonna be a dam sight easier to keep clean aswell . me personally i would have used red hoses to get a better blend with the body work but each to their own . top marks
  3. in reallity insurers will only give you the very lowest amount that they can get away with but if you do have a higher agreed valuation at least it gives you a better place to start when the haggleing begins . reach for the stars rich and if you only hit the clouds so be it one clause in my insurance was they would only replace my aftermarket wheels if stolen with new standard wheels . what a result that would be . just out of interest does anyone know how much a set of wheels from nissan would be . i dont but im guessing a couple of grand
  4. mines on an agreed valuation . they sent the forms to me to get them signed off from a garage / specialist . im sure yours has been under valued rich
  5. right im off to the pub with a tape measure . cheers matey
  6. from experience ebay is 100% protctive of buyers and sellers can go and fook themselves . you cant even leave neutral feedback never mind negative feedback for a buyer . i battled with ebay for a month or so over a recent issue with a bad buyer but in the end just had to put it down to a bad experience . as for the dog turd in the post , im all for it .
  7. does anybody know how long jenson buttons 2011 f1 car was . ive searched the net but cannot find the info . ive stood next to this car and it was huge but really need to know an exact measurement to end a friendly pub debate . i reckon it stretches from the window to the guiness pump but my mate reckons it only reaches the pepsi tap . come on guys we cant have pepsi beating guiness
  8. get a vernier . or pop into any tool shop . they will have one im sure you would be able to use
  9. i recently met a couple who had an old vw camper . all original except for the subaru engine in the back . a real stealth sleeper
  10. a mate of mine is a plod . according to him there are kind of targets to hit but more of a average between officers . what he has told me though which made me laugh was the best and worst time to play up . the evening shift change is 10 oclock . in these times of cut backs and lack of available overtime officers like to give out warnings after 9pm rather than arrest so they dont get stuck in the station when they should be going home . on the other hand if you play up about 10.30/11.00 ish expect to get nicked for the same thing as they want to get back to the station in the warm
  11. cheers matey . thats what i was after
  12. does anyone know how the stock weight of a tt auto compares to the stock weight of a tt manual .
  13. does anyone know how you seperate the lens from the rear part . ive had it in the oven but its still solid . cheers in advance andy
  14. that was the bit that was causing my issues in the first pic . go carefully as groover said with the heat
  15. my rear demist didnt work at first . it turned out to be a bad connection on the rear screen .
  16. at least you werent coming home from the pub rubbered
  17. i got them wired up today . they look a lot better in the flesh without the camera flash .
  18. they took some time to get right . three panels in fact . these are all led and super bright . the light panels have got a twist to them that i havent seen before aswell . hopefully i,ll get some pics up tomorrow with them illuminated
  19. i finally got around to trial fitting my new rear lights today . hopefully i,ll get them wired up tomorrow and go for the big switch on . [ATTACH=CONFIG]66553[/ATTACH
  20. paper nail files from the £1 shop . they work a treat
  21. speak to boldy or manta. they did a cracking job on boldys blue zed using a wiper motor
  22. looks lovely there jeff , enjoy your break mate
  23. a big gold chain and a couple of soveriegn rings would go well with them shades and cap INNIT lol
  24. you can still do it after the welding . there is a rubber grommet in place where the new rubber hose exits . just remove the grommet and open the hole out with a drill bit to take the hose . with the interior trim panels removed just feed the hose through and connect up to the top drain point . i put a small piece of copper pipe into the exit end of the hose so that i could bend it to the shape that i wanted and then secured in place with a p clip . its a really easy job to do with obvious benefits . expect to lose the normal skin off your knuckles as with any job on a zed.
  25. it was me . heres a couple of pics
