Looking for a daily driver......must be fun though! any suggstions?
Right looking for a new daily driver. My current VW Polo is going to my daughter and I fancy something fun now. As well not losing £££'s on depreciation that newer cars suffer, I have been looking at loads of 80/90's cars like..... Would like to keep the engine 2litre max, to keep the fuel bill reasonable. Diesel - petrol not worried, 2/4 doors doesn't matter-and a budget up to 3.5k. I would rather the car was in good condition as I don't have enough time to pamper/upgrade the car and the Zed will get jealous! Toyota Celica GT4 - test drove a Carlos Sainz, not long after they came out, maybe still need to scratch that itch. Anyone owned a faff? Looking at 2 on the weekend MR2's MK2- rev3/4- Love the look, not sure at 6'4" I'll fit behind the wheel though Opel Manta's - had 1 back in my youth, tempted back! My Brother owns a couple of Manta and pointed this out that just appeared on ebay the other day. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271050556334?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2648

20" wheels...
I think 20" on the rear will be a tight fit. Bear in mind the family will get a very rough ride if it's your DD, anyway they will look good with your blacked out windows, lol. OT I'll give you a ring soon to arrange that collection as well.

A mention for the good guy's
Nice thread, given the other recent posts! I to recently had dealings with Baz & JoelyP, poor old Baz posted a air filter to me and the PO have gone and lost it God knows where. He kindly offered to refund the money, so he's lost out twice. JoelyP bought a second Twinz spoiler for me to pick up, never meet the guy before but he still stumped up the £££'s and placed the order before I had handed over my share of the wonga. Even meet up with him to collect rather than post the thing. :thumbup1: As other members have said it's only a few1/2% that spoil this for the majority of us.

Forged Engine
I would think about £2000 - £2500. (depending on the quality of Injectors/fuel rail & whoi did the polishing of heads) Even though you don't list turbo's those part's aren't cheap! Plus all the main works has been completed, if Jim built it you have already jumped a very long queue.

Has anyone got a CARBING rear strut bar fitted...
Hi Joel, I have a Carbing one fitted. YOu have to trim the boot trim to get the strut brace to fit. I can take a few pics tomorrow or give you some measurements if that helps.? I believe if you buy them new they do come with a template to aid fitting. I think that AndrewG may have one aswell, so if you that's the case he may help you out at the Beaulie (sp) meet. Let me know if I can help H

I-phone 4s, galaxy s3 or htc one X ? Which one?
Voted for the S3, I have read a few reviews and its certainly give the iPhone a beating. I will be upgrading to it in amonth or two. I also have the Desire Daz and agree it's a great phone, my daughter DESIRE even survived 2 dunks in water, although the third finally killed it for good, lol Anyone tried the Samsung note? Alot bigger trying to be a tablet...... Perhaps getting ready to compete with the new smaller iPad thats coming our way
