  1. Yeah, would look good on your Yellow Zed, Dave.
  2. Thanks Daz, I can recommend CZP when you're ready to buy. Out of all the major US suppliers (and there aren't many as we know) they were the best in getting back to me when I kept changing my mind and adding bits  AMS never respond to 3 emails, plus I even tried phoning them with no luck, bugged me a bit when I ordered their AMS manifolds through CZP Plus the duty & VAT I paid when UPS delivered was under £90  shipping was $275 which I think was pretty reasonable
  3. feck that is close Mark
  4. was hoping I wouldn't have to get the hammer out on the rails, oh well. Still need new friction plates for the clutch and fuel system, so still saving the £££'s
  5. Thats good to know, what was modifeid the chassis rails? or tubs. What fueling upgrade are you going for? thats one thing I haven't fully looked at yet
  6. What was it James May called it "fizzing" near his kn%b Defo all old rubber will be binned
  7. These arrived on Friday from CZP, (Garrett GT2871R Ball Bearing Turbo Kit (800HP) .86 A/R w/ Forge Actuators,) plus lots of other goodies. Trip to Jimmers can't come soon enough!
  8. Might take you up on that. Drop me a PM when your ready to sell please. Have you thought about doing the Brighton Speed trials in September? Right on your door step, lol
  9. o/t - I don't suppose you still have the K Sports and want to sell them by any chance?
  10. I have a Series 2, going spare if the OP's interested?
  11. or you could just get some of these :balloon: http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=classified&msg_id=159917 It gives you an idea of the increase in air flow together with some pics of the work. The dyno graph is incorrect wrt to the results between stock and 54mm (you can search for more info on this). A later run hasn't been published. 62mm TB's :thumbup1: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2477619/1st-CNCd-billet-62mm-TB-is-nearing-completion.html http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2478029/Stuck-the-GoPro-in-the-CNC-for-TB-boring.html
  12. Ok, so I need some advice please guys. Once my rebuilt engine is completed and before I have the Emerald mapping done, what type of controller will I need to keep an eye on things and help get the best out of it? To start with I'll run a new OEM fuel pump and see how far that gets, before leaning out. Any ideas would be great etc.. welcome :balloon: Basic build info: Forged engine - Jimmer Sard 850 injectors & fuel rail. Garrett GT2871R Ball Bearing Turbos (forged actuators) AMS manifold Labree downpipes Larger TB's Greedy SMIC's Oversize intake piping
  13. Happy Birthday Paul! :clown:
  14. looks good .....though not a fan of the wheels (Jimmer did you get my PM re the TB's?)
  15. I have it on good authority that dropping the sub frame 1" should give enough clearance to get to them from under neath, so will be giving it a go
  16. so no one has removed their d/pipes with the engine in then?
  17. This might help http://www.dutycalculator.com/
  18. Blimey what a hectic schedule, sorry to hear about your engine/turbo trouble though after all your hard work leading up to the event. Glad I'm taking my rebuild to Jimmer in June
  19. Mate hadn't thought of that, I'll give it a go and let you know how I get on. Wifey already thinks I'm mad, :confused1: caught me climbing onto the engine to get better purchase on the spanner, lol
  20. This is with the engine still in situ, Ian
  21. You know how you wish you'd never started a job on the Zed, happens all the time eh? Well I have been trying to get the 2 top stud bolts out to the drivers side turbo for bl%0dy ages now. read countless threads. I can't really heat it up as there's feck all room down there and I've disoconnected so many bits and bobs to get better access she ain't going run without me spending a few hours putting vac hoses etc back together, not to mention hte pas side O2 sensor and d/pipe. :gun_bandana: For those who have done it what tool did you use I bought most of the tools in the attached photo. Getting a offset ring on is no problem, turning it in the imited space however is. Stubby ring yep good fit more room, no leverage though  1/4 socket fits again no fecking room to turn the wrench, at this rate I'm going to put the passengers side all back together and selling the fecking decat pipes etc. And wait for my enigne rebuild to go in later in the year :taz::taz:
  22. Daffy, don't be like that.... I'm sure no one (particularly the OP) didn't mean anything by posting this up. Pretty sure everyone on here would like to see you reunited with your Slickie :winkiss:
  23. Welcome :cool2: £500 that's a bargain.... by anyone standards
  24. And you know that because.........:whistling: you lucky barsteward!
