  1. Well it's been a while since I have updated this thread, so here goes. The car has now got. 500 miles plus on hers one I picked her up from Jim earlier this year. She is running pretty well just a few issues but hope fully these will be sorted out on Tuesday as she is booked in on the RR to iron out the rich running, and "high speed" stalling. This is caused due to the larger IC pipe work and large turbos that's causes turbulent air to make the car stall sometimes when changing down through the gears or coming up to junctions and roundabouts. So currently my car to lovers at 1200 RPM to lessen the possibility of this occurring. To say I can't wait is an under statement! As i have been driving the car over the last few months I have to say that I'm very impressed with the power delivery, there is no turbo lag at all and when the turbos come in the Whossh of the 2871 is :biggrin:and the wave of torque is epic. Today consists of checking all levels and pressure, as I'm taking the car to work Monday, driving up to Birmingham where I will stay overnight, so I can be at the Tuners first thing Tuesday morning. So fingers crossed guys, I will of course post and pictures and graphs for you all. Oh the tuner is Greg Gush @ http://www.protuner.co.uk. I have had several lengthy conversations with Greg prior to deciding to take the car to him, and he was the only tuner that I spoke with that had any ideas on how to cure this "high speed" stalling issue, in fact his words were "yes this a common problem on cars with theses type of mods". If all goes to plan it should be a great drive back home! with the car finally at its full potential.
  2. Can help with the indicators you will need to change the relay, as I have done mine. Although the relay doesn't now "tick" when its working. Not sure if its just my relay, or they all do that, but it did it from new.

Absolutely brilliant day! It was really nice to catch up with everyone. Great relaxed atmosphere, shame about the length of time to get in, as we were parked in a "holding" car park for what seemed like eternity. Then had a few clutch issues on the crawl into the venue arena. Thanks to Si, for polishing off the scuff marks on my rear bumper. You did a grand job sir.:flowers: Also a massive well done to JOELP for coming second in the competition, don't what glasses the judges were wearing but the GTO was not a patch on your car buddy!
  4. Stunning car, if anyone is thinking about buying it,. Its every bit as good as it looks in the photos!

So those of us who are meeting at Fleet is the eta 6:45 for 7am for the main convoy?
  8. Jimmy, I have a complete 3" system with very small rear silencers (I asked for a Sporty exhaust note, LOL), it is very loud. I hate to think what it would sound like with no rear silencers. Maybe they would have left the silencers off, if I said no to the sporty one, and make it as loud as possible. I keep meaning to get a video clip of the car, to hear what it sounds like outside the cabin. Inside the cabin it is very loud at cruising speeds, but they rest of the time it sounds awesome! Like you I wont be doing mega mile each year in it so it's great to have something different when I do get to drive it. I have a few picture that I will try and post for you. I'm guessing the rear silencers aren't over 5" dia
  9. Flux wouldn't touch me when I started mentioning the mods. Went with Classic Line again this year limited mileage 3k all mods declared circ £290.
  10. Have a Dremel, with the flexible extension no problems.
  11. Sorry to hear that Stephen. I take it there is no visible leak?
  12. Interseting start to the day as I was getting the car out of the garage I could smell a very strong smell of fuel! Turned out to be the hose coming off the fuel regulator was weeping fuel.Went to tighten up the small clip and it wasn't having any of it. It was fubard! With only 5 mins before I was due to be at the garage, there wasn't any time to de pressurise the system and fit a new clip. Being down to the last gallon of fuel didn't help with the problem either. Pulled up at the garage at 8pm and they weren't open. Quickly popped next door to the Auto factors and got a small jubilee clip, as I was coming out the guys had turned up and wanted the car in quickly. Great, crossed my fingers as I pulled here into the garage. Had to smile to myself as the tester stalled the car 4 times before getting on to the lift, even then final attempt he spun up the rears, stalled and rolled the car into position, lol. Anyway good news she passed:punk::punk: Went for a short drive to fill her up with Shells finest, and back home now to fix the fuel leak. Can't wait for Simply Japanese next weekend.
  13. Checking the car for it's MOT tomorrow @ 8.00am :hammer:
  14. Wait till you try fitting the w/washer bottle and the expansion tank back on
  15. Andrew could meet you at Cobham, or hook up with you somewhere along the M3 Fleet would be handy
  16. Very nice, looks to be in excellent condition for its age.
  17. I got rid of the OEM tank as it fouled on my larger IC's. I bought a kit from CZP that is basically a small plastic bottle that fits on to the IC fixing mounting point, it is vented by a small clear tube that has a stopper at the end, however just before the stopper there is a small hole in the tube so should the water need to escape/vent it does so through this small hole. Before I ran this I had no expansion tank and the water in the radiator would always escape through vent pipe onto the ground, since running this, water level always remains constant. https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=3851 Hope this helps?
  18. Sorry to hear that. These cars are very trying at times!
  19. Thanks Gary, definitely the jet as I took off the hose behind the jet and the water poured out when I pressed the button. - - - Updated - - - Cheers ordered.
  20. Guys recently there was a post about someone who installed new Volvo washer jets. As 1 of mine is blocked and the MOT is looming at the end of the month, its the first small job to be done. Have tried clearing the blockage but with no luck. So if someone could let me know the Volvo model they were from I would be grateful.
  21. Speak to Mike @ MJP as he has the OEM Viscous fan and a pattern part which is a fraction of the OEM cost, which he recommends as well. I went with the pattern part and have had no problems with it, obviously looks very similar as well.
  22. Are you getting a replacement one through Infinity near to Jim? They did mine and the welding etc is first class btw.
  23. I don't have them either although I do have EBC which does control the boost, although still running her in, lol
  24. I think Funky Si, has relocated his buttons from the steering wheel.
