  1. Already been made aware of that, thanks Nick.
  2. Shahid, thanks for taking the time to write up your side of the story. Look forward to catching up. Hope your enjoying your new Zed now at last?
  3. Is that the best you can do to cheer us up Jeff? How about this/these?
  4. You make it sound like you never got paid Noel, I remember paying you £800 odd pounds for you to map the car and come down to Surrey. The FPR was bought second hand from a club memeber on here when it developed a fault/leaking diaphragm it was replaced with an AEM unit. The huge time gap between when you started and when the map was done just this week, isn't due to the number of issues, I mean it's not like Jimmer is just a quick 10 mins down the road from me, or that he can fit me in anytime I like. As we all know here performance parts mainly come from the US and there not cheap the time you add shipping and VAT. As my car isn't my DD I SORN it for 6 months of the year. so I'm sure it won't surprise anyone that, yes these thing take a long time when put together. At the end of the day Selin/mapping/stalling/ FPR/leaky injector/clutch issues aren't the issue, why I walked away from you and your services. You promised to carry out work and help Jim with the labour involved in stripping and rebuilding my engine after the HG went, along with promise made to me regarding future mapping of the car when ready. You shrugged your shoulders and walked away from it. I paid for new HG, new Pistons, and Jim did the strip and rebuild for free. You did a did absolutely nothing, end of.
  5. Can't help with the choice I'm afraid. But I have Setrab and haven't had any issues, not sure if he size but it looks a little wider that your shown
  6. I certainly do Stephen, they are a great piece of kit although not cheap when having to buy two of them. But a damn sight cheaper than having an engine rebuild :whistling: FYI I am running a AEM 320LPH pump
  7. Very nice, looking forward to the updates
  8. Look it wasn't Noels fault, he wasn't driving it, ......................................he was only mapping it! looking at the AFR's data etc, which has nothing to do with the car running lean
  9. Yes and as you never bothered to give me any dates for this session, you in turn walked away from what you promised at the offset. I would still be waiting for that 'free' session, which IIRC would not be free as you didn't have (or still don't?) your own dyno, so I would still have had to pay the going rate per hour for Dyno hire. Hence why I took it else where at a fixed rate, and a better understanding of tuning. Plus and this is the main reason, you didn't seem to have a plan to address the Selin/stalling issues, (which I know was not just my car, but other members that you were tunning) and I could easily see me spending £65-75 per hour whilst you attempted to sort the problem. I know very well that you chased the issues blindly, with these cars, and the owners spent alot of money buying new parts, that had no positive effect on the issues. When I first spoke to my current mapper, he said straight away what the possible causes could be and how he would address them, and the costs involved, as well as what options were available to me. At the end of the day I felt that you were out of your depth tbh. and didn't inspire any confidence in me, especially when I started to look elsewhere. Incorrect components were used, I wasn't involved with that side of things[/i] as a professional don't you think that you could have mentioned that the parts used could be uprated? after all a £120 fuel pump is chicken feed in the scheme of things given the cost of other components in an engine build. With regards to remapping your car, it was difficult to sort a suitable date where all 3 of us were free Funny how after weeks of chasing you for a date you suddenly wanted Jimmer there as well, to "sign off" on everything, I'm mean wtf? just in case it went pear shaped there would be someone else to blame, perhaps?
  10. When my HG went the first time round there were lots of promises made, by both parties concerned. About who would pay what and contribute time/labour to the rebuild. Once the engine was rebuilt and after many months of waiting/text/phone calls I wasn't getting anywhere. I was only asking for a date to get my car re-mapped. (in 1 month, 2 months, 3months time, so I could book a day off) We are all busy people with lots going in our work and home, so saying I'm busy or just ignoring you simply isn't good enough in my book. I think that when you have your own business (and I have had by the way for 11years), the way in which you respond to issues and problems says a lot about the company and those who run it! Morals, I think is the word I'm looking for here. The engine builder and myself put our hands into our pockets and sorted out what we all agreed at the start, the mapper walked away from everything he promised that the offset. Draw your own conclusions guys. I'm sure there will be another side to the story :whistling: but without going into all the nitty gritty these are the simple facts. Anyway my car made 626bhp, with the (un-mapable Selin Translator,) there were issues along the way last night, but all were eventually overcome. I was at tuners for 16hrs and left at 2:00am this morning. Just encase you're wondering, this was for a set price, no matter how long it took it was going to be done right. The car is now a pleasure to drive, and that's exactly what I intend to do from now on. I cant wait to get the car to Jimmers sometime soon so he can have a go as well, I'm sure it will put a big grin on his face as it did mine on the drive home last night. If anyone wants anymore details just PM me.
  11. Happy Birthday Ash
  12. He certainly is, can't wait to get rid of my current map with all of its issues
  13. Well tomorrow is the big day off to Coventry to see Greg. Just looked at the date I started this thread, nearly 2 years ago!
  14. I remember it well. No repeats this year I hope.
  15. Doh
  16. Saw the photo of your car on a FB page, didn't put 2 + 2 together. Look forward to seeing the progress
  17. Went out for a drive:hyper:
  18. Thanks for the post have set up to record tomorrow
  19. Looking through a box of Zed parts I came across this Vaguely remember buying it off of Danny, so 10 mins later it was on the car.
  20. Spent an age trying to align the Tinwz front bumper to the wings.............bloody nightmare. Gave up after 3 hrs and went for a drive! :gunsmilie: Felt good to get her back on the road I had forgotten how intoxicating the waste gate chatter is! I will be using her as my DD for a while as I don't want any surprises on the drive up to Pro Tuner in 2 weeks. Can't wait! Sorted out th fuel sender unit, so it reads more accurately now. .
  21. Had to remove the towing eyes as they stopped the larger ICs moving inboard, meaning the outer part of the ICs were fouling on the inside of the bumper, bloody frustrating! Will have another look now the bumper is on, as the towing eyes can only be 6mm thick, but the ICs are touching the inside of the bumper.
  22. Spent the weekend working on the Zed:hammer: Saturday - sorted out a fuel leak on the line to the FPR Fitted Z Spec throttle cable clip Sorted out one of the horns that had stopped working Moved fuel filter so bonnet would close properly Tiedied all the wiring up behind the front bumper to my new indicators Filled and sanded the front wings Fitted the rubber grommets (for the bumper to wing)that took CZP three attempts before I received the right ones! Sprayed the IC brackets black Sorted out the amber LEDs for the Twinz turn indicators Fitted the 'diffusers' in the IC piping Sunday Fitted both front arch liners, Fitted 3/4 front number plate Installed Mesh to Twinz front bumper, after uming and arging I then pulled it all off as I didn't like it! Trial fitted front bumper, fitted well, although i need smaller hands to fit those bolts at the front to the wings, hands scraped to bits! Checked all the wheel bolts, good job to a one set where only hand tight. Went for a quick drive round the estate, forgot how noisy she is and set off one of the neighbours car alarms, Still to do: Need to work out how I'm going to get a towing eye through any of the opening of this bumper, especially if I end up with mesh in the front and IC openings Take out the fuel sender unit, as can't have positioned it correctly when I re fitted it the other week, as it showing 3/4 of a tank, only have 1/4 if I'm lucky Then drive the thing!
