  1. Welcome matey :) :duffer: PS That looked like a normal size hello to me... :slap:  lol
  2. Cheers guys! :) Deffo sad to be selling up, partly the car and partly having less involvement with everyone here. And yes, I was happy with the price. That said, you never *really* get what it's worth to you, do you?! Just got to be realistic :) Yep I'll be there at the hatchgate in my blue 106 with 2 wheel trims missing! See you there Bubbles :) 106 though- Talk about worlds apart, keep having to remind myself I can't drive it like the Zed. Going from M25 to M3 (anti-clock and west respectively) I was doing 10mph less than I would comfortably do in the Zed and was still on the ragged edge. Eileen- will do! We're auditioning 3 bassists tomorrow evening so hopefully we'll be back gigging before long. Potentially got a last-minute private function in Feb which will give us a bit of motivation. sideshow- I'll try to, but band practices are always Tuesday so in the main I can't :( Mark
  3. Oh and one more thing- nearly 3 years of ownership, and not a single spot on Was-It-You!! :( LOL
  4. Damn right! And I was petrified it would be bought by a breaker. Couldn't bear that... Cheers Greg, M.
  5. Watched my Zed being driven away from me this morning  Sat in it one last time last night with the usual pangs of regret, remembering all the good times etc LOL. Didn't quite lower myself to chasing it down the road screaming "I've changed my mind, I want to keep it!" Ah well, time to move on and all that. I'll still come on here, and I'll still get to the odd meet (haven't forgotten yours Eileen!) Rob/merlin2002 will be subscribing shortly as the new owner. All the best Rob! I'll be looking for updates on the changes you have planned! :) Party on dudes, Mark W signing off... (kind of)

Best wishes mate- have a speedy recovery. Mark
  7. Nice prize! Shame I'm a skier... could you cut it down the middle for me?! :D
  8. Erm, though it seems PIAA no longer sell: Superwhites anything remotely useful in H3C guise 85W (135W effective) bulbs in a useful guise (That's looking at the PRI Racing and PIAA websites) :( Gio- would you mind doing another comparison with the new ranges of Platinum, Xtreme White and Xtreme Force?! :)
  9. Notice that if you do the H3C to H3 conversion then you can get even brighter PIAAs (85W actual I think)- that's what I use in mine. You can replace the 5W side light bulbs with something brighter in the same package- I think the 13W spoiler brake light bulbs have the same fitting for example.
  10. Looks like it's had a few mods done since I last saw it too! TBH when you were describing what you had in mind I wasn't *entirely* convinced. But now it's done, I must say I like it a lot- spot-on mate! :)
  11. Bit more fiddly, but you can wire it so that the warning light only comes on when something is actually broken... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=411473&postcount=11
  12. I'm always cautious anyway, but I think it mainly depends on your filter installation. If you have the splash-guard then you're a lot better off as there isn't a way to directly soak the filter (unless the puddle is actually that deep!). If the guard is missing then you'll be loads more susceptible to water injestion- best case the filter can't let enough air through and you lose power; worst case water actually gets taken into the engine and you start bending metal. Maybe there's a market for snorkel-equipped Zeds?!
  13. Ditto injector connectors. In fact it's a good idea all of the engine loom connectors, but start with the ones listed.
  14. Hmm- i screwed up! I used a 10ohm resistor when I should have used 6.8ohm. Thing is, it doesn't seem easy to get hold of them at the right rating- I can only find 100W which is a bit excessive. If you wire a 15W 10ohm in parallel with a 7W 22ohm then that should give you what you need...
  15. It's quite well-tuned for impedance- if you do that I reckon it'll come on when you brake with the fog light on. You can wire an appriopriate resistor in place of that brake light and that should stop the light coming on. I say "should"- that's what I've done with mine but it seems temperature dependent- in warm weather it's fine, but in cold whether the warning comes on! I may have got my numbers wrong... Mark
  16. ^ what he said. It's not fair, but there you go. And if you didn't declare it they'd null your insurance if they did ever find out.
  17. That box has got to be 99% likely to be the cause, but IIRC left and right light feeds are split before the box; if it turns out not to be the box, it's possible that you've got a dodgy connection upstream that might need sorting.
  18. Can I join in?! I got Guitar Hero 2 for Xmas :D Seriously though, nice axe there bud! :) Just as well you're drooling over it- looks like it'll need to be polished every day!
  19. More like D's for some of them...
  20. Highly unlikely it's chipped but still limited! After 16-odd years you'll have a spread of fundamentally good examples of the car and bad. Law of averages says most will be bad to an extent. So you might have hit what's essentially a good example in the first place and with filter and zorst goes like a rocket. stellaZ is a good example- he got 340 FWHP / 261 RWHP with basic mods (decat and filter I think).
  21. Mind you, the fog light thing does piss me off, there was a bit of that today. I just ignore it now and drive on with a smug face, satisfied that I'm a better driver than they are. And similar to the lane-change thing, you get people joining the motorway and assume they have right of way. I did see a near-miss today where the guy in the left hand lane was toddling on at 70 quite happily, but didn't have anywhere to go as such, and this little clio just came beetling down the slip road and would have slapped the side of him, had the clio driver not looked at the last minute and seen him. But *apart* from those, it was good! :D Mark
  22. On the A56, about 3pm heading towards Skipton. Only realised at the last minute so didn't flash or anything, plus my Gran was in the car and it would have just confused her! And I wasn't in the Zed either so I wouldn't have stood out... Mark
  23. Just been up to Colne and back yesteerday and today- 540 mile round trip. I I was pleasantly surprised by the driving on the motorways- I thought they would be full of impatient people trying to get home, especially with the fog. But nope, everyone was courteous and considerate, leaving plenty of room. However- get on to the A roads... wow, where did all those tossers spring from?! Madness I tell you. Vans 6 inches from your bumper, people cutting people up, general mahem. Why is that...?
  24. I'd be interested in opinions as well- on the cards as my next motor too! :)

Can't make it I'm afraid :( Have a good evening, and I hope everyone has a fab Xmas and new year. Here's to one big smegging hangover in January! Hurrah! :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: :hurl: :D Mark
