Private plate help?
FunkySi, whist you are correct that it is probably not financially viable to put the plate on a retention certificate (you are correct when you say it is an old NI plate though the MILS theory might hold true) because that in itself is going to cost £80 to do. I don't think Craig will have a problem if he applies for a SORN and has the previous MOT and lets the DVLA know that he intends to scrap the vehicle. They would probably be fine with him retaining the plate then (I did a very similar thing with another car not so long back). At that point it is at the DVLA's discretion. I just don't know if you will actually make any money from it but it's worth a punt!!

Tyre Sizes for 18" Wheels
Are they really that bad? Is the alloy that soft? I was looking at a black centre simply to match the car which is black. I would appreciate your opinion on these: http://www.ozracing.co.uk/leonardo3.htm What do you think?

Tyre Sizes for 18" Wheels
Sorry FunkySi - Just don't like 'em - guess it's me who's the crazy one :( because everybody else seems to think they're great!! Wife would have my nuts if she knew what I had spent on the car this month already so I am not going to blow a wad on alloys I have not been able to see and that still need further work. To be honest I really really like the alloys on your car - do you mind me asking what they are? Each to his own I guess!

retro fit electric passenger seat motors to an existing seat?
Hi there - My leather interior is in REALLY good condition for an all original car but my passenger seat is manually adjusted instead of electric like the drivers seat. Does anybody know if you can retrofit the chassis from an electric passenger seat to my existing standard leather seat? If you can, does anyone have an electric passenger seat that they are scrapping? Obviously doesn't matter about the condition of the seat as long as the electrics are all working. (assuming we can do what I have suggested) Let me know!

Tyre Sizes for 18" Wheels
They do look like a bit of a bargain until you realise its £119 minimum for shipping (up to £230) + tyres + balancing + Skimming (because they are kerbed to buggery!) + polishing + an EIGHT WEEK WAIT FOR THE RIMS!!! + the alloy is pitted which means they have been treated like crap etc etc etc. All of a sudden not such a good proposition. ...... oh yeah, and I dont like the way they look (laugh)
