Norton Insurance - 0121 246 5050 - ask for Jason. Classic car policy, fully comp, breakdown+continental cover, car kept on drive, 6000 mile per annum, agreed value only £330.
  4. Andy I will be getting some resisitors tomorrow (hopefully) from a TV repair shop. I'll get an extra one if you want and pop it in the post with the other stuff. Let me know Phil

I've use my NA, SWB manual as a daily driver for the last year and a half and it's never let me down. Had to replace a radiator and battery which cost less than £200 for both (also did the starter motor as a precaution) and then odd's and sods at MOT time.(brake pipes, headlight alignment) It's kept on the drive, always starts on the button in all weathers, and gives me 23mpg. Insurnace on a classic policy is less than £340 fully comp Go and test drive as many as you can to get a feel for them. HTH Phil

Found this on an aftermarket HID manufacturer's website: LEGALITY NOTES ON ROAD LEGALITY AND QUALITY OF OUR HID : Both versions of our HID systems are DOT approved, MOT approved and fully E-compliant in all safety, E.M. emmission and performance specifications. As far as we are aware these are the only HID kits on the market that meet all these requirements. This makes our kits ROAD LEGAL ; there is a lot of misinformation regarding the legality of HID systems fitted to cars without headlamp power wash and rear axle self levelling ...these are only an E.U. legal requirement on Xenon systems fitted to NEW cars AT THE FACTORY PRODUCTION STAGE . HID systems fitted as aftermarket accessory DO NOT REQUIRE the car to have power wash or self levelling ; even the DOT get this wrong sometimes .... our expensive lawyers did not ! HTH
  11. A keyring for me please................
  12. Go for it - it's always nice to see something a bit different :D
  13. I used to be indecisive............................but now I'm not so sure :D Seriously tho' I know what you mean - although it's been me that has been slow in making the decision - especially when it comes to buying things from the For Sale forum. The wife's attitude is - Go For It. So I do now :D and then get chastised for spending so much  Can't win eh?????
  14. Have a safe (and uneventful !!) journey back home mate - and enjoy a well deserved break with the family
  15. hey guess what - I'm off for a "drive" now ;) and probably several more over the next eight hours :)
  16. For my new signature pix Cheers mate - a couple or three malts are waiting for ya :duffer:
  17. Don't believe these high street "specialists" - I took my battery to one to be tested and they said it was fine. But having got similar symptoms as you I took it to a proper auto electrician who confirmed that the battery was indeed fooked. (still had short term voltage capacity but little current capacity) Are you able to "borrow" a battery to confirm?? Or put yours in another car??
  18. Oh yeah and what about The Thompson Twins and Hold Me Now......... :D
  19. Echo Beach - Martha and The Muffins. I was a young 16 year old ( I may have been only 15  ) and had blagged my way into a gig at Stafford Poly (The Salford Jets were on the bill.............or was it The Mekons???) and whilst this song was playing I tapped off with a rather attractive 18 year old. Didn't get home till the early hours........................ :D :D
  20. Try Norton Insurance - 0121 246 5050(ask for Jason) - have mine fully comp on a classic policy with an agreed value, for £330-00. 6000 mile per annum+ UK and continental breakdown cover+legal expenses all included
  21. Thanks for all your replies guys - some good ideas and hints and tips from y'all :D Keep 'em coming..................... We've started an itenary and have started to get a good idea of what it is we want to do and where we want to go. Cheers Phil, Jill and Co.
  22. Good luck to your son mate - unfortunately my simulator is many miles away. I would like to meet as many members as possible and hopefully over the coming years will do so :D :D This is a great place to be and everyone I've met so far has been spot on :D
  23. Having met quite a few of this site's members and found them all to be decent blokes (not met any of our female owners..............yet) I thought I'd ask the above question. Personally I'd like to meet Slick Pete and Bigmincey(Alan).
