Saw him driving on the B6265 between Ripon and the A1 on Saturday at about 2pm. Looked a very nice machine. I'd just my Dark Blue, SWB, NA, Manual Zed to bed and was on my way home

Right guys you've convinced me. I'll still have to "endure" a 5 mile drive to m y nearest Shell garage instead of being a lazy TW4T and going to BP a mere 1 mile away!!

From perusing the forum on a regular basis I gather that Shell Optimax is the preferred choice of fuel for a lot of ZX owners. Has anyone tried using BP Ultimate???? Is it as good as, or better than, Optimax?? Or doesn't it really matter........... According to BP's blurb it offers " sharper response, smoother acceleration, extra oomph. And it cleans your engine, giving out fewer emissions."

Chris thanks for the offer of the leather seats but it's not an option I'm after. I'm located just up the road in Ripon - have to meet up for a shandy or two??

The light blue tweed seats are fitted to Zed's with dark blue metallic paintwork and like you say are pretty rare. Will keep looking though and thanks for the info. Any more opinions on fitment of electric seats would be welcome................

Hi does anyone know if it's possible to put electric seats from the LWB into a SWB. What additional wiring would be required - is it just a 12v feed to the seat or is there more to it than that??? Also if anyone has tweed seats in a lightish blue that they don't need then I know a man who could make use of them................. Cheers

Any thoughts/opinions/experiences on using Slick 50 in a Zed, both in the engine (N/A) and gearbox (auto) ??? What would be the recommendation on the best oil to use??? (4 days and counting until Planet Z arrives at this location)

2750 and it comes with 6 months tax and a new 12 month ticket. Also 2 recent new tyres and rear dampers plus a one year old SS exhaust How does it all sound??

Hi I am going to view a Zed tomorrow and have been told that the following small problems require attention. 1. Air Con compressor is seized 2. Electric aerial doesn't extend/retract 3. Front bumper lightly scraped at bottom 4. Passenger mirror glass "drooping" How easy and what cost would the above work entail?? The car is a 1990, N/A, Targa Top, Manual with 52,000 miles on it. Imported 4 years ago with Full UK SH, Any other checks to carry out or things to look out for ????? Cheers
