  1. Guess what - I'm still here!!!! At work though so no time to enjoy myself :hyper: :hyper: What are we looking at doing before Christmas then????     Excellent news mate - hate to see or hear of animals in distress or pain - my poor old dog is gonna suffer tonight with the old fireworks. We have to have TV's and music on in every room to try and drown out the noise for him. Keep us all posted on the felines recovery Regards Phil aka Apache

Well here goes - let's see how the old memory banks are: 18-20 1977, VDN 683R, Avenger Super N 1500 Twin Carb Estate - hot snot up to 50mph and rwd!!!! 20-23 1984, A762 TFL, Vauxhall Cavalier 1,6GL - luxury, reliabilty and economy compared to my first car 23-24 1985, B511 FFL, Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6L Estate - Father In Law's ex company car and sold on at a handsome profit (don't tell him!!!) 24-27 1982, TPY 117X, Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6SR Hatchback - felt like a sports car what with those alloy wheels and Recaro seats!!! (I know better now!!) 27-31 1988, E767 KTR, Vauxhall Cavalier 2.0 CDi - real luxury and a fair old performer on the autobahn (was stationed in Ericland at the time) 31-32 1995, N133 TOJ, Toyota Carina E 2.0GLi Hatch - bought tax free, run for a year and 13,000 miles and sold on at a profit 32-32 1986, C423 JGR, Ford Granada 2.0 Ghia Hatch - big barge with armchairs for seats - went well and should've kept it longer 32-35 1992, K878 JSR, Vauxhall Cavalier 2.0 Diplomat Saloon - an insurance write-off, repaired with a new leather interior and new alloys+tyres and bought from a copper!!!! 35-38 various company cars, all diesels, all Vauxhalls and all doing spaceship mileages - I used to average 1400 miles per week 38-39 1997, Vauxhall Vectra, 1.7TD CDX - necessary as I was working at London Heathrow and needed the economy and comfort - ahh those heated leather seats... And now............. 40+ - The Nissan 300ZX - 1991 J plate, J-Spec, Short Wheel Base, Manual, Normally Aspirated, Cloth Interior Dark Blue Beast. Unmodified apart from a replacement S/S exhaust, Sony Stereo and comprehensive security. Although plans are afoot..... And if you're still awake - thank you for reading this.

  18. Have got the car booked in there for a cambelt change at the end of Nov. They're also gonna change all the ancilliary belts as well and let me have a courtesy car so seems pretty good all round. The rest of the service stuff (plugs, filters, fluids etc) is gonna get done at PPS up in Seaham. Time will tell................

  20. Was on earlier this evening and then logged off to watch Top Gear. Had a beer and then decided to watch my latest DVD - Clarkson No Limits. All good clean fun - I'm back but only briefly as up early tomorrow to take a tribe of 4 x 12 year olds and the missus to the Metro Centre - say a prayer for me please!!!!
  21. Cheers hatstand - did they do the full service i.e plugs/filters/fluids etc or just the cambelt?? What sort of price region are we looking at - if I may make so bold as to enquire?? Malton isn't too bad a run out for me, especially that bit of road dropping down from Sutton Bank to Helmsley.
  22. She got through all the tests/group exercises in the morning which reduced the numbers from 144 to 20. Then went onto the personnel interview in the afternoon which went well. She now has to endure an agonising wait for up to two weeks to see wether or not she gets the job!!!!
  23. Gotta take my daughter to Manchester Airportt tomorrow for a job interview with Brittania Airways............ She's as nervous as hell..... Byeeeeeeeeee
