  1. doesnt surprise me that those with long term projects to fund will say what ever the funder expects, gets them a job for life basically. never swallowed the hype of global warming anyway, my fave was the shrinking glaciers which is trotted out from time to time its even funnier when you can see that other glaciers are growing bigger even on the same continent as those that are shrinking, i think i posted something about this years ago on this very site...hey ho
  2. they wont be overseas as they were offering claims management of consumer credit so will have to ministry of justice license holders. Next time they call ask them for their MOJ licence num then complain to MOJ and ICO debt advisors like me who debt do debt adjustment and counselling cant cold call at all and we are closly watched by OFT so i'm pretty certain it was claims handlers who rang you, that sector is running like the wild west right now. Cheers chris
  3. complain to the ICO bud (google it) it wasnt me calling either unless you want a third debt manager on the phone :D
  4. honestly the cheating wigan players must have been watching T.Henry...handball...come on ref we was cheated should have been 9-0 bring in video replays asap!:hyper: :D COYS!
  5. yeah 25mpg from a diesel i know, but we dont do motorway stuff very often its all short hop, off road, school run kind of thing you'll need to lie right under the rear with a strong torch to get a proper look at these motors....oh and the sunroofs often leak....most folks gaffer tape them up :D
  6. got a tdi on a 97 plate mate....flipping great car gets @ 25mpg but takes you anywhere, feels a bit agricultural at first but you'll soon love it drive height and ride quality very good...never had any grief mech wise...easy to work on and lots of spares...as above check for rust under the rear and inside the rear wheel arches, avoid smokey ones and V8's unless they are lpg'd or very cheap....loads of them out there should get a decent one for no more than £2k i reckon...most 4x4 dealers hike up the prices but will come down if haggling if i was you i'd look over local private owned ones first dont bust a gut over the high spec ones leather versions as you'll fill it with dogs, mud and junk if used properly :D
  7. hand of frog...! shocking cheat, he learnt his craft well at highbury :D

  13. arrg bugger i missed it....such a classic it started a trend for prison gigs i think BBKing did a storming show there as well, it takes me way back as my folks were big man in black fans. looking at wiki i see the documentary was filmed by granada TV (who make corrie), ha the yanks missed out there :D
  14. lol...dont wait for winter your hands will be too cold :D
  15. rear main seal for one....if you have a TT (?) maybe do turbo oil feeds change to braided hoses...turbo water pipes change them too...gaskets as well...new o2 sensors...studs for downpipes maybe if they are corroded etc (i know you can do these with engine in) cam seals....belts, water pump, thermostat, tensioner bla bla...60k service kit basically
  16. sounds about right mate, FYI smithy normally knows the answers to these sort of things, always worth giving him a shout
  17. after the 3rd viewing i saw its a citroen sm that they are working on....rare old classic beast...loads of famous people had them in the 70's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citro%C3%ABn_SM

  20. not sure goodwood more like "good-grief i cant believe you went (?)" it lashed it down yesterday morn all across sussex it was like a mid atlantic squall at times, couldnt have been much fun for those who turned up unless they drove amphibious vehicals :D
  21. lol....meat up one end and pudding/sweet fruit up the other isnt that the really trad pasty?! :D
  22. i bet its your front tension arms bud (it was on mine!)....if they are stock replace them with adjustable types...when they flex they clunk even brand new stock ones can do this...sounds really disturbing too...good news is its an easy job to fit new ones....easier with airgun though :D link to the ones i think are causing the clunk http://www.zcentre.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21_28_58&products_id=473 if in doubt / before you part with money etc speak to luke at the zed centre, he's a top man for z32 stuff and should be able to advise on all sorts of clunks squeaks etc etc cheers chris
  23. so..........was the pasty a traditional one or bacon & leek? :D
  24. if you have any space and spanners (?) pull the engine and do it yourself mate, you'll learn loads and get the best opportunity ever to do all the other jobs like rear oil seal, det sensor, water bypass, engine mounts, cam belt, water pump etc etc if it goes to a garage its min £500 just for the pull plus what you spend on the tubs, if its a recon job then get stepped seals less likely to fail/leak. as above if you do the job yourself then the £500 saved on pulling can go on buying a 60k service kit and bits n bobs etc, at least you have peace of mind its been done. my fear is you send it off for a pull and tub recon you'll need other bits doing soon after and wished you'd done the other jobs at the same time. its a false economy to just do the tubs if the engines coming out unless you are 100% deffo the other stuff has been done very recently. cheers
  25. dont kwik fit do a free battery test or was it halfords?
