Houghtons mainly use chaucer insurance for their classic policies...trouble is you cant go direct to chaucer you need to go through a broker / intermediary....i guess they had their fill of classic cars right now so couldnt help....when shopping around be aware when reading through the quote they havent put you down as a UK 300zx even though you told them its an import...i have had this before and its a con to get your business the telesales in some direct outfits dont care & are just happy to take your money as its tough on you for not noticing the policy details

looking at this reminds me of a story of a guy who worked at car factory....he had his little finger ripped off when pulling the excess swarf out of a pipe he was turning on a lathe....6 weeks later he went back to the shop floor with health and safety to explain how it happened....he said "put the lathe on".....and yep you guessed it....he stuck his newly re-attched digit in the pipe and bingo it got ripped off again right in front of the H&S man !!!

lets face it all motors cost a packet...if your zed is a daily driver with city driving mpg its gonna be hard...not sure how many owners are limited milage owners i guess they wont sell as its a 2nd car anyway for the weekends etc....i did notice loads of diesel owners are selling up and switching to small petrol turbo's 1.3's 1.8's etc as the mpg is better than ever and cheaper at the pump...but its all relative i came in 2k under my budget on a land rover i bought....ok its diesel but 2k buys a years worth of diesel....or to put it another way it knocks 25% off the pump price for the next 4 years when i fill up...which makes it cheaper than petrol

oh my your car is so personal and unique its gonna be a wrench to see it drive off...still at least its not being broken up....pray for a drop in fuel prices, i heard something was being mooted to do with adjustment on the duty...hold tight mate you will regret letting her go

their T&C looks fraught with get out clauses and extras such as also if doing your own servicing or running anything other than 100% stock your fooked i guess it would mean fair wear and tear on components as well would not be paid for it smells a bit like the PPI insurance sold with everything claimed (successfully) by no-one...one of the biggest scandels in finance ever
